"Odango Atama!" (Meatball Head!)
- Raye, Darien, just about everyone else
Okay, now you know who everyone is, time to learn what they're talking about! Here are some common words.
Anime- Japanese animation.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon- Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon. This
was the name of the series in Japan. Note that many people leave out the
space and simply call it
Sailormoon.
Cutie Moon Rod - Moon Sceptre.
Ginzuishou- Imperial Silver Crystal
Gomen Nasai- Please forgive me
Henshin - Transform. The scout's transformation sticks were called henshin sticks.
Holy Grail- Object formed by the three talismans. Called the Purity Chalice.
Manga- Japanese comic books
Minna, minna-san - Everyone. Not to be confused with Mina, the scout.
Moon Stick - Crescent Moon Wand
Moshi Moshi - Means hello, used for answering the telephone.
Nasai (also Gomen Nasai) - Sorry
Nijizushou- Rainbow crystal
Odango- a japanese dish made of round dumplings. This is what Sailor Moon's hairdo was referred to in the original Japanese anime (Atama means head).
Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S. etc. - There were
originally five seasons of Sailor Moon. They were, for the most part, divided
up by the main enemy. The first season, Sailor Moon, was the fight versus
Queen Beryl.
Sailor Moon R was the fight against Allen and Ann and the Dark Moon
family (I will explain why Allen and Ann were even in the story line in
another page.) Sailor Moon S was the story of the quest for the holy grail
(With Sir Lancelot, Sir Gallahad, Sir Robin... oh, wait, wrong quest) and
the defeat of Mistress 9. Sailor Moon SuperS is the story of Renee, who
came back to train as a sailor Scout and found Pegasus (Boy, someone loves
mythology :P) and ran into the Dark Moon Circus, who, coincidentally, is
also looking for Pegasus. Sailor Moon Sailor Stars is the story of Queen
Galaxia, who is stealing star seeds.
Senshi- a Japanese word meaning soldier or warrior. It was probably translated to scout to keep the double-S sound. You must know what Senshi means, since almost everyone uses it.
