Marumori
Marumori is a wonderful place. This is where I stayed so I have some prejudice. But, it is a small town about 250 miles northeast of Tokyo. It is not far from the Pacific Ocean. The nearest major city is Sendai. Marumori has only about 5,000 people living there. If you ever want a quiet peaceful place to visit or live in Japan, this is the place. Marumori has many wonderful culturally rich things to offer.
