Gatchaman Online Resources

So, just to be different, I have only Japanese Gatch links on my English site and only non-Japanese Gatch links on my Japanese Gatch site...(^^;)

In the country that gave birth to the (in)famous anime series, there were surprisingly few Gatch web pages, but the number has seen growth at an explosive level during the past six months or so!. Another interesting thing is that most of the sites adhere to copyright regulations...that is, there is very little in terms of screengrabs and art by the professionals. Instead, there is fan art (of excellent quality), cosplay info, and series info with in-depth discussion.

Gatchaman-related websites

Science Ninja Team Gatchacan
The online presence of the only currently active Gatchaman centered Japanese doujinshi circle, a product of a love for the series, highly compressed, concentrated and packed for long-term shelf life. The episode summaries with commentary are highly recommended.
(Japanese only, some images, including fan art.)
Utoland Chronicle
Utoland Chronicle
Online fanzine by A. Asakura-sama. A real live, real time Gatchaman fan rekindles her love (obsession?) toward the show. Believe it or not, the banner is her own artwork. No, she has never worked for Tatsunoko.  The bulletin board, Science Ninja Team Gatchaban, is rather active. And oh, whatever you do, make sure you visit the fan art section. You won't regret it.
(Mostly Japanese, but the art page has English instructions.)
Q-chara Club
Fan art site. Fan art of G3 can be found here, among other things. Some of it is kind of racy, some of it isn't. If you don't enjoy that kind of thing, it may be a good idea not to visit. I personally think that he and his friends are very good artists, and will leave it at that.
(Japanese only, but it doesn't matter because it is mainly an art page.)
Telno Virus
All-around cute website about Japanese popular culture in the 70s and the site maintainer's passion...cosplay. Do you recognize this Ken?She's not just cute, she's a good artist, too! Make sure to chek out her fan art page and bulletin board.
(Mostly Japanese, but there are a lot of pictures and fan art.)
Ameris Intelligence Report
(Self plug alert!)

My series info/ commentary website about the English and other incarnations of Gatchaman. No art, no screengrabs, just a lot of Japanese text. Hey, it's a boring site, but at least Japanese fans finally understand what it means when someone says Jason's headaches were Zarked away!
(Japanese only...duh. There are enough English BotP and G-Force pages out there as it is. And yes, it's staying Japanese only.)

Mori Katsuji's Room of Love
(Not quite Gatch, but...)

Mind out of the yaoi gutter, fanfic writers, he means love in the platonic, brotherly sense. Mori Katsuji, the voice actor for the one and only original Eagle, has his own official website. There's a comprehensive credit list organized by character, by date, and by title,  and a gallery which includes photos from Mori-san's days as a child actor, when he was cute enough to act in any of the roles he has given voices, including a certain blue eyed young man in white wings.
(Japanese only)

 Isaoland!
(Again, not quite Gatch, but...)

It didn't seem right that Sasaki Isao, the one and only original Condor, didn't have his own website, when less talented voice actors had sites dedicated to them. Hitomi-sama, Gatchafan extrodinaire, has provided a solution to the problem. The baritone has been known to appear in person on the bulletin board.
(Japanese only, mostly text.)

 MYO's Home Page
(Kind of Gatch...)

My fellow Gatchafan MYO-sama has a Kageyama Hironobu (anime theme singer who sings the "Dragon Ball Z" theme, among other things) and Tatsunoko page. The Tatsunoko page has a section where you can vote for your favorite Tatsunoko anime.
 (Japanese only.)

Manemane's Lair
(Partly Gatch!)

Fan art gallery by another real time Gatchafan with serious passion (obsession?) There is no doubt in my mind that there will be more Gatch here in the near future. Not that his other Tatsunoko fan art isn't worth looking at either. The page also has a chat room.
(Japanese only, but who needs words when you've got pictures?)

Ken & Joe's Room
(Um...how Gatch is it?)

See, it's kind of Ken Washio and Joe Asakura, but not quite...this professional writer's characterswere quite obviously inspired by the original series, but they've taken identities of their own as the 18-year old Godfather of a New York Mafia family (Ken) and his 26-year old stepbrother/ lover (Joe). Major yaoi alert (oh, is that what you wanted? I'm sorry :P) The page introduces her books, and doesn't go into a lot of detail about them, but she has screengrabs of the covers, and some original art, which are both pure eye candy.  However, you're on your own as far as finding the volumes for yourself, as quite a few of them are out of print. (Japanese only.)

The mailing list
