BébéllaHe arrived in mid-2005 in beautiful, perfect form. Thus far in his short existence, he has been well behaved and a delight -- mostly. But from time to time, he transforms into the inconsolable, contorted, red-faced being we affectionately call "Bébélla" (bébé = French for "baby" + "-lla" from "Godzilla"), whose caterwauling defies every stategy in our bag of infant pacifying tricks. The Japanese word for baby is "akachan" (red + informal/intimate diminutive suffix) -- this sort of thing may be where that originated!
