Anatomic Pathology
A Day At The Office

Most people do not know or have mistaken ideas about what the work of an anatomic pathologist entails. This Web site is meant as an introduction to what a professional in this medical specialty does.

Wait! What is Pathology? What is a Pathologist?

In most pathology departments, the day's work is divided among the pathologists using a "rota", a rotation or cycle of duties. Depending on the number of pathologists, the size of hospital and the volume of work, a pathologist may be responsible for one, many or even all of the duties on the rota on a given day or week. Pick from the rota below to learn more!
