I wondered out loud why I wasn't getting much
from my regular group of net friends in Japan, and one of them kindly
sent me here.
So it's Obon!
Perhaps you could add a temporary
blurb on your Home, advising unknowing ones like me when something
major is happening in Japan?
I liked your story about speaking English
at home with your parents, and the inherent dangers of assimilation.
My lil' sis' lives in Portland and my parents are there now.
They probably knew about Obon before I did!
