A Bob talk
with Betty-Bob
Hello there, to all the Bob's out there in this world. In case you are wondering what the meaning of this is...well, it is a LONG story...or what we call, A Bob Adventure.
I suppose I should explain; I lived in a town called Courtenay...and for some odd reason, in this town are many people called Bob. One day I was in a play called "Fiddler On The Roof" that was put on by my school and unfortunately there were 2 other Ashleigh's (Ashlee and Ashley) So, one decided to be called Billy and me, for the sake of all of my friends whose names are Bob, called myself Bob.
Ah, you are asking, but why does this involve your family...*Grin*...it just does, believe me, I am getting to the story!
One Day I went to Victoria with my mom, my auntie Sue and my Cousin Lindsay to visit with my Uncle Peter. Now, my family has a lot of fun on trips, beginning with packing enough food to feed half a starving world, to the three hour car trip to Victoria signing louder than anyone beleive possible, ending (or beginning?) with a night on my Uncle's boat.
But I am getting ahead of myself, the Bob family began on that same trip, but it was at Grandma-Bob's house in Qualicum Beach. We (mom, Lindsay, Granma and I) Were playing a game of scrabble (a Bob favorite) waiting for Auntie Sue to get back. We were all having a good laugh and Lindsay called me Betty-Boop (because of a word I had put down on the scrabble board) and for some odd, funny reason (a Bob-reason) I said..."no no no, it's Betty-Bob." We all had a great laugh and that became the everlasting joke, a tradition, behind our trip and many others to come.
From then on:
I, Ashleigh, was known as Betty-Bob..now known as Tigger-Bob
Lindsay= Billy-Bob
Mom= Jimmy-Bob
Auntie Susan= Sue-Bob, later renamed Sushi-Bob
Grandma= Granma-Bob
Uncle Peter= Pete-Bob
There are many others and maybe one day I will have links to these names and the others, filled with their Bob-adventures. And also, I will include some of our biggest and best Bob-adventures, also concluding this story. Unfortunately, this is all for now, it's dinner time and this bob is hungry!
