The Mexican punk
rock band since 1984 surfing from Southern California finally kicks the Hong
Kong Ass on 12 Nov 2005 at Caritas Building Community Hall. Really can't
imagine that punk band like them would ever come to Hong Kong.
Main gossip is nothing more than
about chicks and shits. As Fat Mike said he fucking hates God, and
ironically, this gig is being held in a hall of a church, Fat Mike, at that
time, wears a Bad Religion tee. Seems together with G. Graffin's spirit and
beer here (cool!). And remind us not to report what they say tonight to
Rancid (??) ah huh!? Eric, still, ain't dressed his upper body. Erik, all
the time playing seriously.
Their songs mainly cover the
oldies one. They only play two songs (hope that I guess it right) out of the
lastest album - War On Errorism. Though they have ever said "We Won't
Play Ska Anymore", this 1st show in HK covers a bit of their old songs. And
therefore, when they surf out of the stage El Hefe takes out his trumpet to
start off. Unfortunately, they do not play any song out of The Longest Line
EP where El Hefe firstly jammed with the band. Every single songs in this EP
kicks fuckin' ass. They, however, haven't played it. It is the only
disappointed moment. They play Don't Call Me White instead of Kill All The
White Man.
Songs include: (not all
songs)
-Linoleum
-Dinosaurs Will Die
-Franco Un-American
-Drugs Are Good
-Murder The Government
(6 short-sec songs plus one new song in the middle that I can't recognize)
(Fat & Eric changed their instruments, I don't know what song it is)
-Pharmacist's Daughter
-Stickin' In My Eye
-It's My Job To Keep Punk Rock Elite
-Bob
-Bottles To The Ground
-Don't Call Me White
-Whoops, I OD'd (punk/live version)
