Question 3: Character's age

16

Question 4: Character's cursed form, and reason for curse

N/A (For now)

Question 5: Character's Martial Arts Style.

Anything Goes Martial Arts (family style), Tae Kwon Do, Kung-Fu, Ninjitsu

Question 6: A general description of the character.

Eddie is Chinese.  He is about Ranma's height.  He has normal double cut hair with his bangs usually coming down.  Most of the time, he wears a brown jacket, tank top, and white pants. Sometimes, his jacket is weighted so he can use it for training or take it off when he needs to get serious. Once in a while, he'll carry a katana blade, although he rarely needs it uses it only when he has to. In his jacket, he holds shurikens which he can throw one at a time or severel in rapid succession.  But like his katana, he uses them only when he has to.

In my fanfic, Eddie arrives to live with the Tendos.  He first starts his new life by saving Shampoo's life and getting a part time job at the Ucchan's as a delivery boy.   Then after just barely beating Ranma, he starts a friendly relationship with Shampoo.

Eddie's fighting style is quite similar to Ranma's.  Yet they are both different in many ways; mentally and physically.  Eddie, unlike Ranma, has a pure heart.   He has never does anything selfish or perverted.  He also has a higher sense of displine, honor, and has the greatest respect for his deceased father.  Another thing about him is that he will usually never fight a battle if he can avoid it.   Also, in competetive battles, he will never rely on anything cheap or underhanded.

Because Eddie trains with weighted clothing, he is a lot faster than Ranma and just as agile.  Also, his training in Tae Kwon Do has made his kicks stronger than anyone else's in the series.  His punches, while stronger and more efficient than most of the characters in Ranma 1/2, aren't quite as powerful as Ranma's or Ryoga's.  Yet, another advantage he has over many other characters is that he is smarter (academically and on the battle field)  and more perceptive than them.  Later in my fanfic, he will engage in battle against Mousse.  During the fight, Mousse will somehow lose his glasses.  Eddie, having a strong sense of discipline and honor, chooses not to take advantage of the situation and fights blindfolded.  Using his other senses, Eddie still beats Mousse easily.

Eddie's ability to manipulate chi is also very powerful.  However, like his punches, this is another aspect that Ranma and Ryoga hold over him. Something else that is unique about Eddie is the fact that he is as good with weapons as he is in hand to hand combat.

Question 7: The character's history.

Eddie moved from the United States to live with the Tendos after his father Shen (who was another of Happosai's students) was killed.  He also sparred with Ranma quite often when he was young.  His main rival is another character I made up who happens to be Cologne's brother Hei Fong (Dark Wind).  Hei Fong was banished from the Amazon village when he became obsessed with making his skill ultimate wheter it was by copying techniques from other people, or by stealing them from other families' scrolls.  He then found a potion that kept his body from aging and allowed him to change its form.   All his life, he tried to find his family's scroll of techniques which would make him more powerful.   Eventually, he traced it to Shampoo's cousin in America, Sharon, who happened to be Eddie's fiance at that time.  After Hei Fong killed Sharon, Eddie attacked him.  Since Hei Fong didn't have a pure heart, he could not mimic Eddie's chi attacks and was defeated.  Eddie then took on the responsibility of taking the scroll and hiding it.  Then after Hei Fong killed Eddie's father (Eddie doesn't know yet)  Eddie moves in with the Tendo's.

Question 8: Special Moves.

Shinkuu Sogetsu Kyaku (Vacumm Crescent Kick): Eddie sends a back spinning kick above his opponent's head that manipulates the air around them to keep them from moving.  He can also use it over someone's arm or leg.  Eddie can also use it on himself to hold himself in place to counter moves like the Hiyru Shoten Ha.

Lightning Strike:  Eddie's version of the Tenshin Amaguriken technique.  Except it's slower and done with kicks.  Within a second, Eddie can kick his opponent up to eighty times, each kick at a different spot of the body.  Like lightning, his kicks do not hit the same place twice.

Pure Heart Attack:  Eddie's basic chi attack.  A white ball of chi that is powered by the purity of heart.  Unlike Ryoga's Shishi Houkou Dan powered by depression or Ranma's Moko Takabisha powered by confidence, Eddie can doesn't have to feel a certain emotion to make this stronger because his heart is always pure.  So he can power it up at will.  Also, Eddie can fire it at a longer distance.  However, he takes more time to release it because he does four quick arm motions before firing it.

1. Eddie extends his arms with his palms facing his opponent with his thumbs and index fingers coming close together but not touching.

2. Eddie crosses his arms over his chest

3. Eddie brings his hands back in front of his shoulders

4.  Eddie extends his palms at his opponent again except this time with his hands touching at his index fingers and thumbs and releases the ball.

Purify Buster:  A powerful beam of energy that is also powered by the purity of heart.  Eddie does it using the motion of a Kame-Hame-ha in Dragon Ball or the Hadoken motion in Street Fighter.

After-image movement:  This is similar to one of Mint's techniques.  Eddie moves so quickly that it leaves a hallucinated image of himself which can be a decoy.

New Moves:

Warrior of Purity Morph:  Eddie's pure heart isn't the only thing that seperates him from the rest of the Ranma cast.  He is also descended from the legendary Warriors of Purity.  Centuries ago, the Warriors of Purity were skilled fighters with pure hearts and special genetic codes who fought against the Musk Dynasty. They usually had the advantage over the Musk Dynasty because their special genes let them tap into their fighting potential whenever they went beyond pure rage. However, many of them were wiped out when Thorn, the emperor of the Musk Dynasty, cursed several of them with the Spring of the Drowned Evil Boy, which stained their hearts with evil thus preventing them from using their full power.  You see, to become a Warrior of Purity, one must have three qualities other than rage.  1. A high fighting skill level.  2. A pure heart.  3. The same genetic makeup of them.  Eddie possesses all these qualities.  Because of this, whenever he goes beyond anger, the angry chi radiates with his pure heart causing him to change into his Warrior of Purity form.  In this stage, his black hair then appears to have highlighted bronze streaks and the fighting potential he had at the time he morphs becomes unleashed.  Most of the occasions, his power level multiplies by 2.2 times.  However, morphing takes a lot of strength and determination though.  So if he tries and fails, he will probably feel a little exhausted.  Also in tournament settings, he'd be pretty unlikely to reach the proper state of anger to morph.  But if he manages to morph whenever he is tired, most of energy he used during the fight will probably be restored.

Chi Barrier: Eddie powers up his battle aura andcreates a coating of chi around him which can protect him from chi, but not physical attacks.  However, it doesn't protect him completely.  When a chi attack hits him, he may be protected, but he will still feel the impact as if it were a hard punch or kick.  Therefore, he must almost always raise his arms to block it or if the attack is somewhat weaker, he may bat it away with a swipe of the hand.  Overall, it is rather a bullet proof vest for chi rather than a bomb shelter.

Last Horizon Zan: The ultimate attack of the Wong Dojo.  Eddie draws his sword and lines it up with the horizon line.  The way the light around him reflects off the blade will give him a better perception of his surroundings.  Then without warning, he'll charge at blinding speed at his opponent and take a lethal slash with his sword.  The technique itself took a long time for Eddie to finally perfect and can fatally wound someone.  Therefore, he often uses it as a technique to break his opponents weapon as it once sliced another sword split down the middle.  Once he perfected it, Eddie often charges his blade with chi by sliding his hand across it if he plans on using it as an offensive attack.

Ryu Rekka Zan (Dragon Fire Slash)- Eddie draws his katana.  After sliding his hand across the blade to charge it with chi, he'll spin it around several times fast.  Then after driving the blade into the ground, it will cause a series of explosions that charge towards his opponent.

Tri Chi Technique- This is the techniqe enscribed in Sharon's family scroll.  To perform it, three fighters with different types of chi (example: Ranma-confidence, Ryoga-depression, Eddie- pure heart) must stand in an equilateral triangle formation.  Then they have to power up their chi and try to pass it to the other two while at the same time absorbing the chi of their partners.  This creates a reaction which links the minds and auras of all three fighters making them "three parts of the same powerful entity" as Cologne phrased it.  While they are linked, each of the performers of the technique know, see, and feel everything the other two can.  Also, during this phase, their abilities are all tripled.  However, since they all linked by the technique, whenever one feels pain, the other two will as well.  Disabling one of the fighters is all that is needed to cancel the move.  In Heart and Soul, the only ones who were able to use the technique were Ranma, Ryoga, Ryuu Kumon, and Eddie Wong.

Excerpt from Heart and Soul, by Hitman25.

Later that day, Ranma and Eddie met at the park for their match and found Cologne waiting for them.  "Now remember," she said.  "only the winner get's to learn the new techniques i've developed.  And in order to win, you must beat your opponent until they give up or until they can no longer fight, agreed?"

Ranma nodded.  Cologne turned to Eddie who looked uneasy for a few moments.   But he soon nodded reluctantly.  In the audience, Soun and Genma were watching. "Genma," Soun began.  "has Ranma ever fought Eddie in a competetive match?"

"Yes," Genma replied.  "but none as competetive as this one.   It has been nearly ten years since they last fought.  They have always been matched closely.  It will be impossible to decide a winner."

"Begin!" Cologne signaled the match.

Both fighters got into their fighting stances and circled each other.  "It's been a long time since I have ever fought with full strength" Eddie thought.   "I just hope we can end this match without having anyone hurt too badly."   Ranma eyed his friend ten yards away.  "Eddie beat Happosai pretty effortlessly" he thought.  "I better end this quickly!"

Suddenly, both fighters charged each other.  Ranma started off with several punches which were dodged easily.  Eddie then followed up with a roundhouse kick which Ranma blocked and countered with a punch to the chest which caused Eddie to flip backwards and land on his feet.  Ranma then started to feel his arm get sore.   He suddenly realized that Eddie's kick really hurt even when he blocked it properly.  "I better watch out for that leg." he thought.

Eddie and Ranma charged at each other again throwing punches and kicks. Again, Eddie brought his right leg around for another roundhouse kick.  This time, Ranma ducked and countered with an elbow to the back sending Eddie to the ground.

As Eddie started to get up, he heard Ranma shuffle his fists with familiar movements.   "Uh-oh, can it be?"  "KACHUU TENSHIN AMAGURIKEN!!"   Eddie spun around just in time to catch Ranma's fist in front of his face and counter with his own move... "LIGHTNING STRIKE!!"  Eddie cried as  he pummeled Ranma's body with several invisible kicks and sent him flying into a tree.

Eddie then quickly shuffled his arms in several quick hand motions.  "PURE HEART ATTACK!" he shouts as he launches a white ball of energy at Ranma who jumps at the last second before the ball slams into the tree and explodes.  In mid-air, Ranma fires two of his own projectiles, "MOKO TAKABISHA!!"  Both of them hit the ground in front of Eddie and send him flying.  "Now's my chance..."

Ranma thought as he ran towards his friend preparing to finish him off with one last kick.  But as Ranma swung his foot around, it appeared to float right through Eddie's head.  "What's going on??"  he wondered.  "Ranma, I'm over here!"  As he heard Eddie's voice behind him, he suddenly remembered their last warm up match.  "The after image movement!!" it came to him as he turned around to see his friend sweating and obviously tired.  "You're going to lose Eddie!" said Ranma.  "With the shape your in now, you won't last that much longer!!"

"You're strong Ranma.." Eddie replied as he removed his jacket.   "but this time it's the real deal."  He dropped his jacket to the ground which created a large crack in the concrete floor.  Ranma then realized that Eddie was only getting started.  He saw him remove two bands on his wrists, and reach under the cuffs of his pants to take off two more ankle weights.  Eddie tossed his weights aside with a thud.

"I sensed you are also holding back," said Eddie as he stretched out his arms.  It was true, Ranma was only using eighty percent of his power.  Not because he didn't want to harm his friend, but because he thought Eddie wasn't as strong as he thought.  "now... let's go one more round!"

Both fighters rushed at each other.  Ranma tried to go for the quick kill as he saw an opening for a punch to the solarplexes.  Again, his fist flew right through his friend.  This time however, Ranma was soon met with a kick to the side of his head which sent him sliding across the grass.  Quickly, Ranma jumped to his feet and charged again and tried his chesnut fist technique.  "SHINKUU KOGETSU KYAKU!"  Eddie commanded as his crescent kick flew above Ranma's fist. Ranma then realized he couldn't move his right hand as he stuck it out in a fist.   Instinctively, he used his left foot to try to counter with a kick.

"SHINKUU KOGETSU KYAKU!!" Eddie delivered another crescent kick, this time over Ranma's leg as it came close to his head.   Ranma tried another move as his right arm and left leg were now immobilized.  "HIRYU SHOTEN HA!!" but nothing happened.  "His pure heart!!" Ranma thought.  "It prevents him from giving off hot battle chi of anger and hate!!"  Desperate, Ranma made one final attack as he saw Eddie preparing for another Lightning Strike.  "MOKO TAKABISHA!!"  His attempt paid off as his ball of chi connected into Eddie's chest and pushed him 30 yards back.  Eddie landed promptly on his feet and realized he was starting to bleed.   He looked at Ranma and noticed blood coming from him too.  "This battle is becoming too intense!" he thought.  "I have to end it now before somebody gets seriously hurt!!"

Everyone saw a large battle aura surround Eddie Wong.  "What is he doing?" "What's going on?" the crowd murmmered as Eddie clenched his fists and started to fire up his chi.  "This does not look good!" Ranma thought as he stood in his fighting stance.  Suddenly, Eddie brought his hands back and cupped them so they closed in on each other horizontally.

"PURIFY...........BUSTER!!!!!"  he commanded as he released a large white beam of energy which had a three yard radius at the front.  Usually, when Ranma encountered a powerful move like this, he would counter with the Hiryu Shoten Ha.   However, he still couldn't feel any hot chi from his friend.  Whatever the problem was, Ranma knew he had to do something quick or else feel the force of a very powerful technique.  Suddenly, in the audience, he started to feel a very hot chi radiating from someone.  He turned and saw Ryoga chasing Happosai.

"COME BACK HERE GRAMPS!!"  he screamed at the top of his lungs.   "DON'T LET ME EVER FIND YOU GOING THROUGH AKARI'S DRAWERS AGAIN!!!"

This was the break Ranma needed.  "THANKS RYOGA!!  YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER!!" he exclaimed as he gathered the fiery chi that radiated from the eternal lost boy.  "HIRYU SHOTEN HA!!!" he commanded just seconds before the beam could hit him.  Although the two fighters were too far apart for the tornado to be used offensively, the whirlwind was strong enough to protect Ranma and foce the beam upwards into the sky.  "The legendary technique..." Eddie thought as he stared at the power of the rising dragon wave.  "I'm glad I only used a third of my full power on that technique.  Full power would have been a waste!!"   Suddenly, he remembered something.  "That's it!!  I have faced this technique before with a simple strategy!  If it worked before, it should work again!"  Eddie clenched his fists and started to power up hot chi from his body.

"What is he thinking?" Ranma thought as he saw Eddie charging straight towards him.  "Whatever it is, this ends now!!" he said as he gathered the fiery chi radiating from his friend.  As soon as Eddie was within a close enough distance, Ranma summoned all his strength and released his attack again.  "HIRYU SHOTEN HA!!!"  Quickly, Eddie jumped into the air.  "SHINKU KOGETSU KYAKU!"  He spun around in mid air so his leg made a full crescent kick around himself.  As the whirlwind propelled upward, Eddie hung in midair just 6 feet above the ground.  As it cleared, Ranma, who had is eyes closed the whole time opened them to look in shock.   "You lost Ranma." Eddie anounced.  As his vacuum wore off and he started to fall, Eddie brought his hands out in front of him and released all the energy he had gathered.  "PURIFY BUSTER!!" he commanded as he fired one last beam at point blank which carried Ranma through several walls, trees, and across the park.  Eddie finally fell to one knee as the fight ended.  It was over, Ranma had lost, he had won.
