Martial Arts Style: No specific discipline, rather a combination of many others learned in his travels.
Cursed Form: Small black piglet (P-Chan).
Strengths: Ryouga's most dangerous weapon is his own body. Even at the beginning of the series, he was able to punch his way through concrete and trees without very much effort. A single punch is all it usually takes him to defeat the martial artists (and wild boars) that he encounters. In addition to this, he has incrediable endurance as a result of his Bakusai Tenketsu training. Right after the training, (presumably when his endurance was at it's highest level) he was kicked into a cliff, which subsequently collapsed on him and buried him under a pile of rock. He was able to stand up, feeling as though he had sustained nothing more than a "babies' kick." His determination, usually summoned when trying to win the love of Akane, has helped him on several occasions, most notably in the ice skating battle, when he very nearly defeated Ranma despite the fact that he was surrounded by cold water (in the manga, anyways).
Weaknesses: His determination can sometimes be more of a disadvantage to him than an advantage. He has, on several occasions, shown that he can be easily blinded by his anger. In the Hyruu Shouten Ha arc, his enraged mindset allowed Ranma to draw him into the spiral, despite the fact that Ryouga already knew how this technique worked. He is a fairly gullible person, and he can be tricked with simple distraction techniques. Also, when he learns a new technique he tends to rely upon it to a fault, as he did when using the Bakusai Tenketsu and the perfect Shishi Houkoudan. His most prominent weakness, and one that Ranma takes advantage of far more often than any other, is his Jusenkyo curse. Once he becomes P-Chan, he loses his strength, his endurace, and the ability to use his weapons (although he does gain speed, once having gotten through the Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken in pig form.)
Weapons: The weapon he uses most frequently is his bamboo umbrella. It is well suited to him, because it is very heavy and usually he is the only one who can weild it. Besides being able to swing it around like a sword or a bat, he is able to open it up and throw it, the edges acting like a buzz saw as the umbrella flies through the air, and then (usually) returns to his hand. In addition, he controls an infinate supply of bandannas, which he takes off of his head and throws like shuriken at his opponents. He also wears a belt which he can charge with his ki so that it becomes rigid, the edges bevahing as though they were bladed. He doesn't use this too often, however, as it once nearly killed Akane.
Special Moves:
He has mastered the Bakusai Tenketsu (or 'Breaking Point') technique, which allows him to hit an object with his finger in a certain point, and cause it to shatter, and then explode with great force. This only works on inanimate objects (ideally, rocks), as it involves the disruption of the static ki within. Because of the added endurance he recieved from the training, he can weather the blasts without taking any significant damage while his opponents must do their best to dodge the flying shards of rock.
He also uses the Shishi Houkoudan, which is a ki attack fueled by the user's 'heavy feelings' of depression or sadness. He is able to project this ki in the form of a large and powerful blast from his hands. This move is very well suited to him, as he is frequently depressed because of his unrequitted love of Akane. In addition to this 'normal' form of the technique, he can also use it's perfect, or complete form. When he reaches the depths of depression, as he did when he made Akane say, "I hate you, Ryouga," he is able to gather his heavy ki and release it in the form of a column of pure energy which surrounds him and shoots high into the sky. This is only half the attack, however, as the ki's heavy nature causes it to return to the earth as a powerful wave. Because of his depressed state, he is uneffected by the wave, but the ground surrounding him is turned into a very deep crater.
