Strengths: Being the champion of the Joketsuzoku village, Shampoo is in top physical form. In terms of strength, she completely outclasses Ranma's other fiancees. She is able to literally walk through walls, breaking them down without the assistance of weapons, and virtually without effort. Shampoo is also very fast, able to strike with her bonbouri (and presumably her fists) with amazing speed when she is determined enough to do so. Determination is a strength for her as well, as she comes from a group of warriors who never give up when they fight, and (almost) always fight to the finish. When she sets her sights on victory, there is little that can curb her determination.

Weaknesses: Shampoo, despite her incredible strength and speed, has shown to be a bit lacking when it comes to stamina. One blow to the head from the end of her bonbouri was enough to knock her unconscious (although not for very long), and when facing female Ranma in the Joketsuzoku tournament, she was defeated by a single kick that got through her guard. Another glaring weakness is how easily she is distracted by Ranma. Every time she tries to attack Akane and is stopped by Ranma, she forgets about fighting entirely and decides to glomp him.

Weapons: The weapons she is seen most frequently using are her pair of bonbouri (Which are basically a solid metal ball on the end of a short stick). She can use these quickly, and to deliver very powerful attacks. Against female Ranma, she also used a sword on a few occasions, although this was probably only because of the Kiss of Death.

Special Moves:

Shampoo can perform the Xi Fang Xiao Shiatsu Attack, which involves striking several pressure points on an opponents head. After suffering this technique, the victim will lose memories of people (and presumably places, events, or passage of time). The memories are not lost at random, however. Shampoo chooses what is erased and what isn't. When she executes this attack, she hits the pressure points while at the same time shampooing her victim's hair, leaving them with a strangely refreshed feeling. As demonstrated by Akane, this technique can be overcome by strong emotion (anger, in this example). While this move might not be entirely useful in battle, it allows Shampoo alternatives to killing or wounding her opponents when she fights.

Also a skilled ramen delivery girl, Shampoo has mastered a few techniques which can eliminate competition. She knows the Delivery Box Blowout, with which she can strike the outside of a delivery box, without damaging it, and completely destroy whatever is inside. She can also use ramen noodles as a deadly weapon with her Ramen Suffocation move. Using this move, she wraps her enemies head up completely with Ramen noodles, preventing them from being able to breath. (These attacks are only seen in the manga... In the anime they are used by Kaori Daikokku.)
