The scene moves to the planet Nemesis, where Prince Demand and his minions (Esmeraude, Safir, Rubeus, and Wiseman) are celebrating because they have located the ginzuishou. The four Ayakashi sisters- Koan, Berthier, Calaveras, and Petz are also at the gathering, and Rubeus allows Koan, the youngest of the sisters, to begin the attack.
Usagi regains consciousness and runs off with Mamoru to find the little girl. They find her sitting on a swing in Arisugawa Memorial Park, all alone and sad. Mamoru calls her "ChibiUsa" and offers to take her home, and sees a vision of a crystal palace when he takes her hand. After sensing his warmth, ChibiUsa trusts him. Mamoru and Usagi carry her to Usagi's house. Ikuko meets Mamoru and ChibiUsa, and notices little ChibiUsa has the same pigtails and names as Usagi. ChibiUsa bounces her ball, and it turns into an umbrella with a swirl pattern on top. She spins it and begins hypnotizing everyone. Luna snaps Usagi and Mamoru out of it, but the rest of the family believe that little Usagi lives with them now. Usagi takes ChibiUsa to her room to demand that ChibiUsa reverse the spell on her family, but all ChibiUsa says is that she won't. As ChibiUsa walks out of the room, Luna notices she has 2 pendants- a key and a crystal that looks like the ginzuishou.
The next day, Usagi meets up with Mamoru and he offers to see if any missing child reports are out. As they walk off,a student named Asanuma watches them. Later on, the girls meet in the Crown Fruit Parlor. Luna comes in and gives new morphing wands to Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako. The girls meet Motoki's sister Unazuki. Makoto introduces Asanuma, who turns out to be a 7th grader at Moto Azabu Junior High. Assanuma is introduced to Usagi, and Asanuma says that he looks up to Mamoru. Rei leaves, because she has to get ready to tell fortunes at her school festival. At school, Rei's schoolmate Kotono introduces herself to Asanuma and a few other students from Moto Azabu Junior High. They discuss UFOs and spontaneous combustion when Koan comes in dressed as a student. Koan tells Rei that she will also be doing fortune telling at the school fair. Once outside of the school, the students see a UFO fly by.
That night, Rei has a nightmare that Koan and a group of droids blast a little girl. The next day, Usagi heads off for the school festival at Rei's school and tells Luna to keep an eye on ChibiUsa. Unfortunately, as soon as Ikuko gives Luna some milk, ChibiUsa leaves without a trace.
Rei is telling fortunes when a student tells her that the other fortune teller is telling everyone when they will die. ChibiUsa enters the school fair with her ball. Rei and Kotono go to tell one of the sisters when a sister bumps into her and tells her to be careful. The sister has a black symbol on her forehead, like the one Rei saw in her fire reading. Kotono smells something burning, and she and Rei discover the sister's body, which has spontaneously combusted. Kotono faints, and Ami finds Rei. Rei yells, "Mars Star Power Make Up!" and turns into Sailor Mars. A group of droids appear, and Mars uses Burning Mandala to destroy them. Koan appears and blasts Mars with her fire. ChibiUsa watches as usagi comes and uses her brooch to transform. Sailor Moon uses the Moon Frisbee, but Koan shoots it back at her. Luckily, Tuxedo Kamen saves her. Mercury appears and yells, "Shine Aqua Illusion!" to destroy the rest of the droids. As Moon and Kamen hold hands, the Moon Scepter is born from their powers. Moon takes it and yells, "Moon Princess Halation!" to kill Koan. Rubeus appears with the orders from Prince Demand to bring Sailor Mars to Nemesis. Mars, still trapped in the ball of flames, is abducted.
