SKA 6
- a somewhat blurred shot of
SKA 6 in rough weather -
(Photography by Karsten Petersen)
During rough weather it was
of course not possible to do surveys, but it it was not too much, we could
sail to the next survey area for stand-by. Otherwise we would just drop
the anchor in a sheltered place, - and wait - - - -
SKA 5 twisting and turning
through an ice field, - another SKA boat is seen in the horizon -

Also in ice it was impossible
to do surveys of the obviously reason, that you cannot follow straight,
pre planned lanes, when those lanes are obstructed by ice - - -
So,- again we had to find a
sheltered cove and wait, - wait, - wait - - -

View to to opposite side
- untouched Greenland - and
dead silent -
Note: There is nothing wrong
with this picture. The white area at the top is in fact clouds covering
the mountain tops.
