"Fulton"

Here some of my many pictures of "Fulton", - most likely the best known of the Danish schooners.

She was built in Marstal in 1915, - with a hull of oak -, and has been in commercial trade until 1970, - now serving several purposes like for example training young people with social problems, and sailing as a chrater ship for various groups of passengers.
She is run by a foundation who has the responsibility for running and maintaining the old ship, on behalf of the Danish government.

Built: Marstal, 1915.
Length, overall: 38 meters.
Length, hull: 26 meters.
Depth: 2,93 meters.
Displacement: 101 tons.
Height of main mast: 24,5 meters.
Sail area, total: 450 square meters.
Speed, sail only: About 13 knots.
Engine: 316 hp.
