- the TAROKO gorge -
The TAROKO gorge is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The name "Taroko" simply means beautiful in the local dialect of the Ami's,- and when seing it, it soon becomes obvious, that the aboriginal who named it, did not exaggerate!
The gorge is about 20 kilometers long,- with sheer cliffs made from marble-, and through this wonder flows the Li Wu (Foggy) river!
