The East-West Cross-Island
highway is in itself a 120 miles long remarkable feat of engineering. It
starts at the magnificent Taroko gorge,- and then in the most dramatical
way twists and turns up across the Central Mountain range,- where Taiwan's
most varied and beautiful scenery can be found.
Here is the highest mountains,-
and you can see "the Sea of Clouds"! This is a true wonderland with breathtaking
beauty.
