2. When fleeing a vampire,
make sure to have running water, be it a stream or river, in between the
two of you. Vampires won't be able to cross these, and as he sits forlornly
on the other side of the water, you can quickly make your escape.
3. For those of an adventurous mind, seek
out some vampire coffins in your local graveyard. Should you happen to
come across some occupied ones, have your handy dandy stake ready to thrust
into the sleeping vampire's heart. Be sure to drive it hard and sure on
the first try, as it may get a bit messy if you miss and the vampire wakes
up. You could cut off his head too as a safety measure, then bury it facing
upside down, partly so that you're sure that you'd damn its soul all throughout
eternity, and partly so you won't need to look at its face while you dig.
4. Wear tons of garlic when nearing any
vampire-infested areas. The bad news here is: you'd stink for a couple
of weeks or so, depending on how much garlic you're actually wearing. The
good news is: the vampires think so too, and they'll be sure to keep away
from smelling distance. Be warned though, that while these would work for
most vampires, a few may not (maybe because they're bigger, more powerful,
the king of vampires, or don't know any of the customary procedures vampires
are supposed to follow) so the risk is strictly up to you.
The belief in vampires
have long since faded since the ancient times, but the fascination still
has yet to wane. Some are even portrayed as romantic and tortured souls,
doomed forever to spend an eternity they would rather not enjoy. There
are even some vampires who actually play the good guys. Some popular examples
