Ironically, we find out later on that Eugene isn’t really human, and more battles continue, this time on the demon world. Unfortunately, Alfred couldn’t go with Eugene, Dennis and Vincent due to his studies. Another tournament takes place, and this time, it’s more fiery and intense than ever.
After the tournament of the demon world ends, Eugene returns to the human world to fulfill a promise he made to Jenny, but he vows he will return to the demon world in three years time for the next tournament. Dennis, too, is back on the human world, now working for his stepfather’s company. Vincent stays on the demon world, content. Alfred and Jenny are busy with their studies, and trying to make it to college. And, well, all’s well that ends well.
As I said earlier, GMA-7 is conducting a survey to find out if they should bring ‘Ghost Fighter’ back on air. I wouldn’t mind it, actually. But what annoys me a whole lot is the fact that there are too many commercials, tending to ‘overtime’ the show. Sometimes, they even fail to air the whole show, leaving viewers very disappointed and throwing colorful remarks at the television set. However, I am rather impressed on how popular the show is. It somewhat displeased me to find out that ‘Ghost Fighter’ became overly popular, but what makes me feel good about it is that people of all ages who watch it can now relate to each other. Some people who are not into anime say that they don’t really understand us anime fans. Well, now that the local television networks have shown different kinds of anime, that certain ‘communication barrier’ diminished somehow. I was amused to find out that all the officemates of my uncle at a professional company sat by the television set at work to wait for ‘Ghost Fighter’ to watch it. But I guess, yes, count me in. I would love to see ‘Ghost Fighter’ back on the air.
Unfortunately, not everyone likes this well-loved program. Miss Sarah Tan, owner and author of the only anti-Yu Yu Hakusho website on the net, disagrees that ‘Ghost Fighter’ is a great anime. Well, to each his own. If you want to visit her site, it’s at http://www.freeyellow.com/members7/sodapop62287/anti-yyh.htm
Before I go, I would just like to share something with you. About three years ago, I fell ill, and was confined in the hospital. There was something seriously wrong with my kidneys. I was told I only had a 20-30% chance of survival. But I believed in the saying that laughter was the best medicine. Thank goodness there was a television in the room, and faithfully, I watched ‘Ghost Fighter’. It made me laugh. It really brightened those dark months when I was sick. And since then, ‘Ghost Fighter’ has always been my favorite anime. Hopefully, when I’m up to it, I’ll be able to create my own anime and make it a hit, just like ‘Ghost Fighter’. When I do, I hope I’ll be able to touch the hearts of other people, just like what this show has done to me.
 Forever for-never.
