BlueCollar - the bastard brainchild of Robert Ives and Scott Berg, concieved while at work many years ago at Ventana Mountain Bikes in Sacremento. "Wouldn't it be cool," they both asked, "if we could make our own bikes?" Steel, singlespeed,...oh, yeah. The child received prenadal care. Drawing after drawing, discussions, post race delusions, ideas swapped back and fourth, changed, redesigned, mutated, and then with Robert's departure from his employer, was finally realized. A third parent was brought into the picture, a babysitter of sorts, Steve Smith. His inclusion to the family made it complete. Visiting on weekends and grinding through 15 hour work days, the Amigos went on to create, to bring to life where there was none, to help spring existance to... BlueCollar - a three-headed monster of indescribable power. Complete disorganization in a garage full of chaos and KISS turned to 11 is the environment in which this beast sucks down Budweiser and cranks our the flat out most supercharged, King Midas, get drunk and loose your pants, kick ass single speed frames that your hardearned nickle can buy.
Hey do yourself a favor and follow the path of self destruction we've been blazing since 1996. You'll thank yourself in the morning.
