The Sanjo Ohashi, or sanjo bridge was the ending point of Tokaido. As you know, Kyoto had been a capital of Japan from the Heian period (794) to the Edo period (1868), and there are so many historical spots in Kyoto. I would not make any comment on this district as there are many websites on Kyoto.
