These are the original springs that have been identified: Spring-of-the-drowned- These are the named springs are from various fanfics: This spring was given a name, but the name given is a mixture of Japanese and Chinese. All other spring names are new. (NOTE: Few of these springs are MY idea. However, going through all the fanfics out there to give credit where it's due would be TOO much work. Further, I am likely to miss some and get others wrong. If a spring is yours, I am not trying to claim I came up with it.)
I would like to thank everyone for their e-mail contributions. (Sorry, but my list of contributors has gotten too long to list here. I apologize if that offends anyone.)

The list of springs:

All springs listed above are included. My translations use a different style of romanization. To keep the spellings consistent here, I use (ni-quan) instead of the (nii-chuan) use by others.

  1. This spring is considered fatal for those who fall within.
  2. This one is just silly, isn't it? {Only spring without tragic story. 33 years ago I toss 8-trac player in that one.}
  3. One of the pre-named springs.
  4. This spring, while not fatal, places some sever limitations upon the whatever has entered it. Typically used to mark springs of drowned insects.
  5. This spring is my creation. All four names refer to same spring. They are designed to be the very first cursed spring.
  6. This spring has special, not completely defined effects.
  7. This spring marks a drowned water beast. The spring lacks any oxygen within, and victims will drown unless they are removed quickly.
  8. Though fatal, it is not considered such because the new inert form is still capable of mimicking life.
  9. Indian goddess. This spring my have been named, but I haven't found the name yet.
  10. Victims of this spring can grant wishes, but they are bound to a master ASAP. Details are not yet defined. Wishes granted by Jusenkyo genies cannot counteract ANY Jusenkyo curse.
  11. This is a unique spring. An avatar of Destiny bathed in it, and now anyone who falls into this spring will change into what ever Destiny needs them to be for the greater good of the planet.
  12. Another spring without a tragic story. (Valley filled with much partying after demon drown here sirs.)
This stuff I grabbed from another page.  It's not my work, and I won't take credit for it.  Don't worry.  I'll acknowledge the author when I find or remember where his page is.  (When and if, that is... (^^;)  Too much time spent around Ryouga, I guess.)
If you have any comments or suggestions about this stuff, mail them to Brian Drozd, the guy whose page I got this stuff from.  Thanks!
