In addition to the human characters, there are three talking cats in Sailormoon. They act as guides for the senshi, and offer advice when needed.

LUNA

Luna is Sailormoon's cat. She is black with red eyes in the anime, and black with blue eyes in the manga. Luna is the one who first awoke Usagi as a sailor senshi. She is sometimes patronizing to her, but overall cares deeply. In the past, Luna was a servant of Queen Serenity. She and the Artemis were very devoted to their queen, and will do anything to destroy the evil power in the universe and re-establish the Moon Kingdom.

ARTEMIS

Artemis is actually Sailor Venus' cat in the original Sailor V series, but was carried over into the Sailormoon saga. He is white with blue eyes in the anime, and white with green eyes in the manga. Artemis is witty and intelligent, always picking on Minako. He adores both Luna and his daughter, Diana. Artemis also has a close relationship with the inner senshi. Like Luna, he was a servant of the original Queen Serenity.

DIANA

Diana is Chibiusa's kitten from the future. She is grey with red eyes in both the manga and anime. She is small and cute, but doesn't really contribute much to the story. She doesn't show up until Sailormoon SS.
