BACKGROUND:

Seiya, also known as Sailor Star Figher, is a woman from a distant star which was destroyed by Galaxia. In the anime, she is actually a man who turns into a woman. In the manga, she is a woman who cross-dresses as a man.

Sailor Starfighter is one of three senshi who are seeking out their princess, Fireball. She is a member of a popular Tokyo band called the Three Lights; her fans believe she is actually a man. This is only a clever guise, however, meant to attract the attention of Princess Fireball. She uses her music to send a message to the princess, hoping to find her after years of searching.

As a human, Seiya is playful and flirty. She enjoys playing sports, the performing arts, and music. In the anime, "he" has a crush on Usagi and is almost constantly hitting on her. She resents Mamoru to a degree because he is the true love of Usagi.

Like Haruka, Seiya tends to have a problem with men. She and Haruka both believe that the other is a man, and tension rises between the two. The rivalry between Haruka and Seiya mounts as the Stars season progresses. Eventually, the truth is revealed, and the Starlights and Sailor senshi work together to defeat Galaxia.

POWER

Star Serious Laser-- One of the three ridiculously named Starlight powers. She raises a star pendant above her head, gathering energy. Then she points it at the enemy and fires a laser beam. The attack is quite powerful, but the only one in her arsenal.
