BACKGROUND:

Usagi Tsukino is pretty much your average junior high student. She loves to eat and sleep, hates homework, and has lots of friends. On the surface, Usagi can appear shallow, clumsy, and obnoxious. She is in an almost constant state of whining, much to the annoyance of her companions, and she has difficulty staying focused on the job at hand.

Underneath the surface, however, Usagi is a very dynamic character. She is the most powerful inner Senshi, albeit a rather unnatural leader. When things get tough for the soldiers, Usagi always pulls through. She is a suprisingly strong and brave person, always willing to sacrifice herself for her friends. As a Cancer, she is ruled by her emotions and inner intuition rather than calculations (this becomes painfully obvious as the series progresses ^_^).

As the Princess of the Moon, Usagi is fated to marry her love, the Prince Endymion of Earth. Endymion is, of course, the past incarnation of Tuxedo Kamen. In this relationship, Usagi can sometimes be insecure and self-doubtful. She needs almost constant reassurance from Tuxedo Kamen that he loves her. However, she very devoted to him, even when tempted by other men ("Alan", Demando, Seiya....). Her relationship with Mamoru becomes deeper with each season, and it is clear that the two are meant for each other.

Usagi's biggest weakness is probably her reliance on her friends. She is a very social creature, hardly strong enough to stand on her own. She is constantly seeking the support of the other soldiers, or Tuxedo Kamen, and requires tremendous effort to overcome weapons such as fear and lonliness. Several villains throughout the series prey on this weakness, although Usagi is always able to persevere.

Overall, Usagi is a deeply emotional person, full of love and friendship. Her deeply social, yet insecure nature makes her somewhat clingy, but no one seems to mind. Her laziness, clumsiness, and annoyingness run only skin deep, so be patient with her character.

POWERS

This isn't a complete list, but covers most of her attacks:

Moon Tiara Action-- First attack in first season. She removes her tiara and throws it at the enemy.

Moon Healing Escalation-- Also one of the earlier attacks. Can turn a yoma back into a normal person.

Moon Princess Halation-- Performed with the second (?) moon stick. After dancing around for a while, she hits the enemy with a burst of crescent-shaped energy.

Moon Spiral Heart Attack-- One of her S powers, she spins around quite fast before hitting the enemy with a huge heart-shaped energy blast. The enemy almost always cries out "Lovely" after being hit with this attack.

Rainbow Moon Heart Ache-- Very similar to above power. Also used in S season.

Moon Gorgeous Meditation-- Performed with the Pegasus wand. She hits the enemy with a blast of butterfly like particles in a huge energy beam. Can also be performed with Chibimoon for a double hitter. Very neat to watch.

Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss-- Performed with the Eternal moon wand, but originally unnamed. She spins the wand around in her hands before twisting around and yelling out the power. The enemy is hit with a blast of energy (and several hundred angel feathers), and screams out "Beautiful!" before dying.
