BACKGROUND:

Setsuna is a very quiet, private, and mysterious woman. She is the oldest of the senshi and the most powerful. However, she appears the least in the series and little is known about her true character. As a Scorpio, she tends to be blunt and seemingly indifferent, but this is in fact far from the case.

As the Princess of Pluto and ruler of Charon Castle, Setsuna is a powerful senshi indeed. She controls the gates of Time with her Time Staff (which holds the Garnet Orb, one of the three talismans). In the anime, she is assumed to be hundreds of years old, but in the manga she is 19 or so.

Setsuna's life is extremely lonely. Although she can see the future, she cannot interfere with the course of time. Once in the manga, she attempted to stop time to save the Universe. Although she did this and turned Black Lady back into Chibimoon, she died in the process (later reincarnated by Neo-Queen Serenity). She rarely leaves her post to aid the other senshi, and therefore has no close friends. Her only real companion is Chibiusa, who used to visit her at the Time Gate when she served Queen Serenity. Setsuna is also somewhat close to Hotaru, as they both possess similar powers.

Setsuna is extremely devoted to her duty, and she serves her Queen at the sacrifice of her own happiness. Her introverted and secretive nature make her a hard character to get close to, but she is a very powerful ally to Sailormoon.

POWERS

Dead Scream-- Her only attack in the anime, and the only attack of all the senshi to be whispered. She gathers a huge ball of purple energy into the Garnet Orb, levitates her Time Staff, then unleashes the power upon the enemy. A very powerful attack.

Time Stop/ Dark Dome Close-- Manga/anime titles for the same power (respectively). Her forbidden attack in which she closes the Gates of Time. Used in the manga to save the Universe; in the anime, used to save the lives of Haruka and Michuru. Note: the Dark Dome Close is actually a different power in the manga.

Garnet Orb-- A generic manga attack. Comparable to the inner senshi's elemental powers, but more powerful.

??-- Not sure what it's called. She uses the Garnet Orb to levitate and enclose herself (and others) in a shield. More defensive than anything.
