BACKGROUND:

<Besides being the Princess of Venus, Minako was also once a lone soldier. In Naoko's original manga series, Codename: Sailor V, Venus was the only senshi. She has made a name for herself as a crime fighter in England, and has many commercial tie-ins (video games, comic books, etc). When she joined the rest of the senshi, however, she took more of a backseat to Sailormoon. Her leadership qualities are still evident, even in the Sailormoon series. It is sometimes hard to tell whether she or Sailormoon is the leader of the inner senshi.

Minako is not terribly serious about anything. She is strongly devoted to her role as a senshi, but her carefree nature always shines through. Even though she has a tendency to screw up old sayings when trying to give advice, her intentions are good.

In the series, Minako is often one to provide comic relief in a serious situation. She has a very warm and loveable personality, making her one of the more popular senshi. In fact, her only real weakness seems to be her almost ridiculous lack of fashion sense, even though she is supposed to be the ruler of beauty (let's see...yellow, orange, red and navy blue...I don't think those colors would match on any planet!).
