Well, I guess there are few people who might possibly be interested in the person who created this crappy little site. Okay, I'll indulge you.
Here's me demonstrating my prowess with a turkey leg at a local Medieval festival (the King Richard's Faire). Just in case you were wondering, I am in costume....no, I don't carry around an antler-handled sword and a coyote scalp every- where I go. Sorry to disappoint.
Name: Laura Yilmaz (yep, that's Turkish)Muahahahaha! I have finally made it to college! I am currently a freshman at Harvard University in Boston, MA. If any of you guys are in the area or actually attend Harvard, look me up! I'm an official member of the anime club here, as well as a member of the Arnold Cultural Society (dedicated to Arnold Schwartzenegger [sp?]) and the Kendo club. Unfortunately, I STILL live in New England....shudder. (Very cold. Very mundane. Nice foliage. Not much else.) My favorite types of anime/manga are shojo and bishonen (of course, bishonen is a sub-category of shojo, so that sounded kinda redundant. *Sigh* Need sleep....). Other than anime, I fill my spare time with drawing mostly. I hope to someday actually become a manga artist myself, not that it will ever happen. I also love video games, especially for the Playstation. Some of my faves are Metal Gear Solid, FFVII, Rival Schools, Castlevania:SotN, Chrono Cross, and others I can't think of at the moment. The original Killer Instinct was my absolute favorite arcade game for about two years, but after that got scrapped I haven't really kept up with arcades. If I had a Saturn, that video game list would be a LOT longer....Age: 18
Birthday: July 12...send me presents!!!(j/k)
Zodiac Sign: Cancer
Hobbies: Anime (obviously), drawing, video games
Favorite Color: dark red and purple
Here's a scan of one of the wall scrolls in my room.
Some other mangas that I enjoy but didn't include on my page are X (X/1999), Magic Knights Rayearth, Ghost in the Shell, The Legend of Kamui, and some others I can't think of right now. I can't say I have a very extensive collection, but it's one of my favorite pasttimes.
Currently, I've been studying Japanese, which is a real pain in the ass. At school I hear English and Latin, come home and hear Turkish, then sit down and study Japanese....too many languages. Oh well. But at least now I'm in a structured Japanese course rather than teaching myself. It makes things much easier.
Uh...that's really all I have to say about myself, since my life is so damned boring...Oh well. I think it's safe assume that everyone who came here did so by accident anyway. *^_^*
