If your car is almost overheat although you already clean all the
pipes and the coolant tank, check the cap of the tank. Changing the cap might solve
the problem. The cap is designed so that the water, when getting hot, will
goes to the plastic bottle; but comes back to the tank when the water is
cooling down. Changing the cracking cap will solve the problem.
When the battery is always low (after left overnight) although you
charge it frequently or run the car for a long period of time: you should
buy a new battery. Keeping the defect battery, even though you still can
start the car, will damage the charger and you will pay more.
When you car does not run smoothly, it looks like one engine is lost.
You should check the sparkplug wires first, sometimes, the problem can be
solved very easy by changing just one cracking wire.
Computer:
If you want to install a modem on COM2, you should disable the
COM2 port in BIOS setup (press Del key when the computer is booting up.)
If not, you cannot install the modem. (it is obvious, but a lot of people
didn't believe me until they had tried all the ways they can think of :-)
)
Phone:
For students who live in apartments: if you want to install a
second phone line, you can install it yourself without paying $80.00
installation fee. The phone line goes into your apartment has 4 small
lines, two of them (the second and third wires when you look at the phone
jack upside down) are used for the first phone line. The others are left
for the second line, but are not connected to the phone company. After
calling your phone company to open a new account, you can buy a (1to3)
Y-adapter to plug in your existing phone jack. The middle jack of that
Y-adapter is already wired for your new phone line.
