Me again-
I was looking at the Hero's Journey thing on Shalnnh's page and i got this map that i'll put later... on the map what do i see, Forest of the Night, so if you get that map of DR and put it with HJ's map, you get the left and right side of Elanthia(i'm assuming it's also Elanthia) and it matches pretty well, just missing the Top of the map, and anything South, which you'd use the GS3 map i need to find again(which is more of a zoomed in thing), and i'm guessing it's a small world if it the ocean wraps around, or maybe no land, and mostly ocean(cause we have 3 moons, so we have to be big)

oh yeah and that dickwad feedback GM responded, but it was something like, Issue that as a complaint and there's nothing i can do about that... that wasn't the FUCKING POINT YOU PIECE OF SHIT, I HOPE YOU GET RAPED BY A FAT WOMAN LIKE ROSEANNE OR WHOOPI GOLDBERG, NO FREAKIN' EYEBROWS! NO EYEBROWS! the point was that Gm's should find out what was going on before locking someone up YOU RETARDED PIECE OF SHIT, YOU'RE THE INBRED CHILD OF SHIT THAT FUCKED SOME SHIT'S SHIT AND THAT SHIT'S SHIT CHILDREN'S SHIT, FUCK YOU, I'D SAY SUCK MY DICK BUT YOU'D PROBALLY BE BAD AT IT OR BITE, YOU PROBALLY TAKE IT UP OR GIVE IT TO ROCK UP THE ASS!!! FUCK YOU

ahem...

Me, wrote this to Dr feedback under DR 'Concerns'not complaints when i was locked out, i'll also post the response:

around 6 months ago i was telling a story jokingly and used the word Biznatch... well about 15 minutes after my story i was locked out for 2 weeks(no warnings) this was understandable but i wish i got a warning, then about a week ago i got a warning because meanne was telling me how some people were calling her slut(she used the word slut) and then i said 'slut' and i got a 7th warning(i don't know where the previous 6 came from but i'm assuming you counted all the times i used the word biznatch), it's beyond me how i get a warning and she doesn't when she said it more than me... now this i didn't mind, and finally there was an event tonight and i got a warning for disturbing behavior(i tingled one of the people in the event, i'm not going into detail but it was already turned into a mockery long before i did anything) i've never heard of a disturbing behavior, and didn't mind the warning, i felt my punishment was reasonable, then i get locked out for 2 days(2 days is nothing, i don't care) but the reason was cause it counted my warnings from my last lock-out, that's what pee'ved me... i know there's nothing i can do about but it's my concern that people should get a chance to explain themselves better(such as when i used biznatch, i never inteneded to use it in place of bitch, but as biznatch, was a funny story, was talking ghetto-like too)... but that's just my rant

Me-
1/24/99New Rant- I've known for awhile that Dragonrealms is the Future of GS3, i just didn't know how badly, as big as GS3 is, it's basically Shard, but more detailed.. goto Shalnnh's site then his links and goto that Gamemasters.com place, there's a map under like the newest entry, and if you look at it, Dragon Spine Mountains, Marshtown(would be shadow clan down there in dark hand) and has some islands, and basically Shard... so we can just look to maps of GS3 for more expansions of the realms, and i knew weapons like warswords were just relics from Icemule and shops in GS3, just didn't know our maps were that much based on them... and since half their land is frozen over(mainly Dragon Spine mountains) maybe when they're twice as big as now they'll reach to Leth(even though their realms bigger, it's like detailed, like waterfall in Shard is several hundred foot drop, yet is only 3 rooms long? so their's would be like 10 rooms maybe to our 3)

Me-
The way they handled the Premie homes is crap.. they way overcharge just for rugs, and it gets lost and confusing, in Haven the town looks like shit with the homes, and wasn't well thought out, some of it makes sense.. like in Dale and cabins in reavers(for the really hardcore hunters ::snickers::), Crossing is ok done, but they should have maps on signs around the areas. And they're going a bit too far... housepets? i want a housepet w/o fee and home invasion thing(only downside, don't see how it works though.) I'm kind of jealous cause i want a table and bed to jump back and forth between, but the way some of the stuff is set up is just ugly(they dropped homes all around haven probally w/o thought), and i heard Leth has apartments or something, and i've only seen some of the homes, haven't been to Theren or Leth and further South, but Dale looks the best done, especially with the water slides and ponds and pools

<< For all my denials and hopes, I'm finally forced to admit that Simutronics is just a socialistic, money-oriented service company. The sum of their employees want nothing more than profit, while on an individual basis there are a few striving to be more. Everything they ever do is motivated by money, and it's that sad revelation that discourages and angers me. My experience is only in DragonRealms, and as such, I will keep my premises to that game, though I imagine it's similar in the other games.
First of all, consider the advancement system. When you first started, you could learn a few ranks of something just by doing it a couple of times. A novice could learn 30 ranks of something, like foraging, while I learn one rank in the same amount of time. Of course, my wisdom, intelligence, and discipline is twice theirs. Young ones can gain 20 circles in a given profession in two weeks. I've seen it countless times. Yet if I circle once a month, I'm doing good. This is grossly unrealistic and serves only to get more money for Simutronics. If we advanced quicker, it'd only discourage younger ones from playing. If we were 80th circle, young ones would never hope to pass us, and we'd be too powerful, in Simutronic's eyes. And so they will now cap experience.
Some people have 300 in some skills, perhaps more. They worked their butts since the dawn of the realms, or perhaps they scripted. Either way, they have that much now, and because of the power they have, they will not be able to learn any more. You see, the young learn really fast, the middle range characters learn, and the high level characters learn very slowly. So if you arranged the realms by circle, you'd see 80% between 5th and 35th circle, with only 5% below 5th and 15% above 35th. This is the bell curve, the socialized middle, that keeps Simutronics reaping in the cash.
Everything done for DragonRealms is done for money, throwing the old dogs just enough scraps to keep them from barking. Premium accounts were created, and already they are causing a rift in society. They have greater access to alterations, magical goods, hunting areas, and the ears of the gods. And why isn't Simutronics assigning more GMs to new systems in the realms, like tanning, weapon making, etc? Hercules and Xena. Instead of improving existing realms, they created new ones. We have relentless fog, but instead of improving their system resources, they put more links on popular web pages. They make promises of new things, new provinces, yet they won't open until a year after they first promise them. They have the ability to create them and implement them in a month, so why don't they? Because they work on a quest you have to pay for.
The Mentor Society is a wonderful example. The Mentors help the young, lead them around, get them oriented into the realms. The Mentors are sponsored by the GMs, who help them get organized and give them commands to use. The Mentors get no reward for their time, only the satisfaction of helping the young. But the GMs help the Mentor Society for one reason: If you help a novice, assimilate him/her into the chaos of the realms, they are far more likely to get an account beyond that 2 week trial. And more money is a good thing. The Mentors aren't compensated in any way, shape, or form, yet because of them novice retention rates and income for Simutronics goes up.
The realms is nothing but proscriptions now, giving us less and less things to do and more things we cannot. GMs should spend less time throwing people in rest mode into lockout and more time fixing real problems. Will they ever make another item like an old backpack that is big enough to hold greatswords? No, and you'll be lucky if they don't "adjust" them so that they no longer fit them. Will they create more places for you to learn things? No, they'll change the existing places so that they don't teach as well. That rank a week is too fast, my friend. The GMs have a timeline for you, one that will optimize their cash intake and the integrity of the realms at the cost of you. If you're ahead of the timeline, you're screwed. You, who's been here since the beginning. You, who made the realms what it is today. You have been forgotten. You're one voice among a thousand who are quiet.
I'm hear to tell you that you're not. But we have to all express our opinions to Simutronics to get things to change. They are our socialist government, and only loud voices will get their attention. If you would, forward this to anyone facing such oppression in DragonRealms. Sign your name and forward a copy to feedback@simutronics.com

My Comments....

I dont fully agree with the letter ya'll are sending about. First of all, advancing is easy in any guild, reguardless of anything, and depending upon race will help determine how fast you advance. A Tog will never advance as fast as an elothean, just as an elothean can never wear plate with only 15 strength and have no burden unlike a tog. A lot of people say advancing doesnt really matter in DR if you're role playing, but heh, ya'll are sending this letter around like it does. I can tell you this, I advanced a war mage to 5th circle in 2 days with out a script for bout 4 hours a day. An empath 9 circles in like 3 days no script, and of course my clerics no script. My theory, hunt big, learn big. ;) It's not the GM's fault those who hunt big in plate at first circle are in crocs, they take the chance of dying, the GM's cant prevent what is free to do. Look at me, i trained leather from 4 ranks in it to almost 70 now and started in DS, no gobbies or anything. I havent advanced much lately, but i guarantee you, that you can advance almost as fast from 15th to 16th, as you can from 25th to 26th, and the ONLY reason advancing gets harder is cause your skills get higher and your requirements go up, if you had 4 PM, 4 Harness, 3 PP, and 3 MD from 1st to 50th circle required like 1-10th circle clerics need, hell, id be over 50th:> Its possible im missing the point some of ya'll are trying to make though but i hope ya'll read this and see that its NOT simu or GM's fault, its the players for studying the game and finding ways to advance fast and taking the risks that go with it.
