Pretty Sammy Characters!

Sasami Kawai

Sasami plays our heroine in the series. After Tsunami chose her to be the magical girl, Pretty Sammy, she gained many magical powers to help her in her fight to make the Earth a better place. Along with gaining the aid of her talking cabbit sidekick and guide, Ryo-Ohki, she also gained an enemy, namely Pixy Misa.

Misao Amano

Misao is a good friend of Sasami’s. However, unbeknownst to her, she is also the evil magical girl, Pixy Misa. She comes from a broken family, as her father left home to pursue his career as a musician and her mother is so preoccupied with work that she is hardly ever home. This made her a prime target for Ramia’s evil plan to thwart Tsunami.

Tenchi Kawai

Tenchi plays the dual role of Sasami’s big brother and the romantic interest of Ayeka and Ryoko. He is a student at the same high school as the both of them, and is always having to either fight off their romantic advances, or keep the two of them from fighting to the death over him. Some things just never change, eh?

Chihiro Kawai

She plays Tenchi and Sasami’s mother. She owns her own music store called “CD Vision” and is always singing karaoke whenever the mood strikes her. When she’s not at work playing her karaoke, she’s at home singing karaoke or at a singing contest... yep, you guessed it, singing karaoke.

Tsunami

She lives in the magical world of Juraihelm and will be the next ruler of that world should Pretty Sammy (Sasami) be able to use the magical powers that she has been given and make the Earth a better place. Of course, since she and Ramia were up for the leadership of Juraihelm, you can bet Ramia was none to happy with the council’s choice.

Ryo-Ohki

Our cute little cabbit plays herself in this series, but with a twist: she can speak in a language other than cabbit. She is given to Sasami to be her guide in her quest to make the Earth a better place with her newly granted powers.

Ramia

Ramia plays our antagonist in this series. She and Tsunami were up for the leadership of Juraihelm, the magical kingdom, and she ended up losing out to her. Of course, being the sore loser that she is, she decided to try and thwart Tsunami’s trial by enrolling the aid of her own magical girl, without her knowledge and permission of course. Sasami’s friend Misao was the unlucky one chosen for this task.

Rumiya

He plays Ramia’s assistant henchman, also he is Ramia's little brother. He often takes the form of a bird, and did when he came to recruit Misao. In a sense, he’s the evil equivalent of Ryo-Ohki. He can often be seen perching on Pixy Misa’s shoulder during battle.

Ryoko

Just like in the series, Ryoko is always trying to get Tenchi to like her, much to Ayeka’s disapproval. Unlike in the series, Ryoko is just a normal everyday high school student with no super powers of any kind. However, she still has her bad girl attitude, getting into and winning many physical altercations that happen very often.

Ayeka

She takes up her series role as the other woman vying for Tenchi’s attention. She is the President of the Student Body and feels it’s her duty to keep Tenchi from getting corrupted by Ryoko’s influences; but, if she ends up getting Tenchi’s favor in the process, all the better. She is devoid of her wood-based technological powers, but, she carries a mean right hook.

Mihoshi

She’s back, and just as lightheaded as ever; or is she? As in the series, she lives and works with Kiyone in Chihiro’s music store. But, she’s supposedly either gotten a major brain boost or been extremely lucky, as she got into university and Kiyone didn’t.

Kiyone

Kiyone plays a clerk that works in Chihiro’s music store with Mihoshi by her side, in life as in career as in series. Of course, she’s none too happy at the way life has turned out, namely because Mihoshi got accepted to a University and she didn’t because of her entrance exam scores were too low.

Washu

Washu is still her scientific little self in this series; however, all of her high technology and powers over space and time have been replaced by more down-to-reality devices and methods. She has a definite interest in the magical energy that Pretty Sammy gives off; in fact, she moved into the same town the readings were coming from, as well as the same building as Kiyone and Mihoshi, just to be closer to the source of this power.
