It was towards the end of the first day of school and she was skipping class. It was not the first time by any stretch of the imagination. As long as she passed her tests, she was fine.
But now? She wished she hadn't skipped. At least then she would have been safe! But, instead, she watched as some nutty freak threw things around. Apparently, it wanted attention. She couldn't tell if it was male or female under all that strange armor.
But she had to do something before the thing went to the next store, her favorite jewelry shop! Her anger unlocked some hidden power in her mind. Without thinking, she raised one hand and shouted.
"Earth Planet Power!"
In a flash of brown light, she was running towards the warrior. With her newly wakened mind, she KNEW that he was evil and had to be destroyed. The sense of urgency in her soul awoke something else in her mind and she found herself screaming mentally at the warrior.
To her shock, he doubled over, clutching his helm. Suddenly, a shard of glass flew from a window and wedged into a crack of his armor. The warrior shrieked in pain, then crumbled to dust.
She collapsed where she was.

The Senshi were beeped out of class just as the bell rang. They met Mars on her way towards the arcade. There had been an attack there. Hopefully no one was hurt.
When they arrived, it was to see a Senshi dressed in a brown uniform. She had redish brown hair that hung to the ground and a figure that could have been Saturn's. The Captain she stood before, as that was all she did, suddenly doubled over, clutching his head. With a jerky sweep of the new Senshi's hand, a shard of glass flew into the Captain's armor, turning him to dust.
The five Senshi stared, none moving, as this new Senshi fell to her knees, then fell flat on her face.
Mercury was the first to move, and she ran towards the brown Senshi's prone figure, her visor down and her computer out. Jupiter and the rest, Sailor Moon trailing last, followed semi quickly.
"We need to get her away from here," Mercury said. "Before the police get here. Let's take her to Mamoru's"
Jupiter nodded, lifted the unconscious Senshi in her arms, and took off at a run, followed by the rest of the Senshi.

Jupiter set the new Senshi down before she de-transformed, joining the others in the sitting room. "She's still out," she said. "Ami, is that bad?"
"No," Ami replied drinking a cup of cocoa. "She'll be unconscious for a few more hours at least. Whatever she did seems to have taken a large amount of energy out of her."
Makoto, Rei, Usagi, and Minako nodded. Mamoru sat down beside Usagi, slipping an arm around her waist.
"So tell me what happened," he said as Usagi snuggled up against his side.
"Well," Rei said. "I felt the evil signature of one of the 'Captain' creatures they like to send at us. So I hit all call and headed for the arcade..."
After listening to the account of what they saw, he was impressed. The new Senshi obviously had mind-powers. Telekinetic definitely, telepathy or empathy a true possibility. That thought brought another, but he didn't have a chance to catch it as it flew by.
He shook his head, then told the others to go home. After much, and loud, protest from Usagi, he closed the door behind them and turned to check in on the new Senshi, only to find her gone and the sliding glass door open.
With a sigh, he shut the door, and then laid down to sleep, his dreams filled with love, and an illusive friend.

Sophie woke to find herself in a strange room on a strange bed. People talked outside the room softly, but she could make out that they were talking about what happened.
"Did that really..." she trailed off as she sat up and found herself wearing a short brown skirt and brown cross laced boots that went up to her knees. She scrambled out of the bed to look at her reflection, and blinked.
She was wearing a brown half cape, white leotard, brown short skirt, brown boots, and white gloves that went to her elbows and ended in brown fabric. She also wore a tiara with a brown tiger's eye in the center, a brown choker, and a pair of really neat looking earth like earrings.
She turned to look at her back, then blinked. There were two big bows too. One on her chest, held in place by an Earth designed green/blue stone. The other was covering her butt. Which she thought a good idea herself. Both bows were black, big, and puffy.
At the sound of someone coming, she looked around and opened the sliding glass door, running out onto the balcony, then down the fire escape.
She took off running in a random direction, and found herself out of breath by the time she got to the park. She hid behind the bushes to the side of the path. Breathing hard, she looked around. A few birds were talking about the weather above her, some squirrels were fighting over a nut and using worse language than sailors.
"Wa-ait a minute," she cried, looking at the animals who shut up to listen. "You guys talk!?"
The birds looked at the squirrels, then at Sophie. The squirrels blinked.
One bird peered at her, then chirruped some nonsense happily. The other bird laughed, bobbing up and down on the branch. The squirrels scampered over to her, then sat down looking up at her.
"Well," said one squirrel. "It seems we're done waiting for Sailor Earth to come again. We have al ot to talk about. But first, you need to change your clothes."
Sophie just stared, before snapping "How?!"
With a sigh, the birds flew down to her shoulders and whispered directions in her ears. In another flash of brown light, Sophie was back in her street clothes. She settled herself down indian-style and lifted the squirrels into her lap. "All right," she said. "Start at the beginning."
"Well, a thousand years ago, people populated all the planets, and the Earth's Moon. This time was called the Silver Millennium. Each plated had a Royal Family, and in each Family, there was a Senshi to protect their planet. During the Silver Millennium, the Royal Moon Family were the leaders. And the Senshi were the people for the Moon Family's Royal Guard, or the Inner Court. When the last Princess Serenity was born, the Royal Families were tested, and eight new Senshi found for the baby. Sailor Earth was awake, but didn't wish to be found. Her name was Kitana, and she was the bastard child of Earth's King.
"So her half brother, Endymon, was Earth's representative. Following advice from her councilors, Queen Serenity betrothed her baby daughter to Earth's Prince. Kitana, being Endymon's best friend, decided to wait until they were older before voicing her opinion.
"Now, Kitana knew they were half siblings, but Endymon only knew that his father didn't want him talking to this girl. But he defied his father, and kept it a secret.
"When they were both 18, Kitana was sitting in an open field, watching the moon. She wanted to be there with Endymon, who was at that moment talking to his bride-to-be. Suddenly, Kitana screamed as both the Prince and Princess were killed, sending death-pain along the links she had with them. Her mind followed the spells cast by the Queen of the Moon, altering them slightly so that the Senshi, and Endymon, would all end up here, in Tokyo. Then she let the spell take her to be born here. Unfortunately, she was born at the same time as Serenity instead of Endymon.
"Now she is awake again, and the other Senshi know about you being here," the squirrel finished.
Sophie sat in silence, thinking about the story she had just heard.
"So," she thought. "I am Sailor Earth and I have a past."
She smiled faintly then picked up the squirrels and hugged them gently before setting them back down. "So, I am Sailor Earth. Now I've got another reason to be out of the house. I'm just glad I didn't wake up when I was at home!"
The animals looked at eachother in shock, then worry. If she said that, what was her home like...?
"Well, I should go. I don't supposed you can keep me posted with the other Senshi?" she asked.
"Sure," the birds said. "We can even get you a communicator tuned into theirs."
She nodded, then talked to them for a while, learning things about her new 'family'.
**************************************
After learning where the other Senshi lived, Sophie made her way to her home, up on a hill. Even from the porch, she could hear her parents fighting again. So she snuck around the huge house and sat out back in the yard, listening with new ears to the sounds of the night.
Somewhat bored, she shut her eyes and reached with her mind for the other Senshi. She pulled their sleeping minds into a link, then learned all their memories. She was startled and horrified at some, like the inner Senshi's battle in the north, what really happened back on the Moon, and Hotoru's death and rebirth.
She let their now restless minds loose, except for Endymon's. She held his mind, easing his pain, and gently touching the love he had for Serenity. With a sigh she let him go also. "So that's how he feels about her," she said, then turned over on her side and cried into her hands.
**************************************
Sophie went to class the next day, her long hair covering her strange new earrings. Her new, Earth pendant safely tucked under her uniform shirt. She sat in the back of class, like always, watching Usagi scarf food down while hiding behind some books. Bored, she turned and spied a bird sitting on the windowsill. She inched open the window and the bird hopped onto her desk.
"Hi," Sophie said with a smile.
"Hi Kitana!" the bird chirped. "How was your night?"
"The usual. I slept on the ground again."
The bird tilted his head to one side. "But why? Don't you live in that big house on the hill?"
"Because-" She got cut off as Ms. H yelled at her, "Sophie! If you're going to be here, at least keep quiet!"
Sophie nodded, then whispered to the bird. "You should go."
The bird bobbed up and down, then hopped out the window and flew away. Just as Sophie reached out to close the window, a squirrel scampered up, dropped a watch, then scampered away with a flick of his tail.
She shut the window and put the watch on her wrist, flipping it open. It was a communicator if she ever saw one. She spent the rest of the day in class, figuring out how it worked.
Just as school ended for the day, the watch beeped and a tiny voice spoke quietly.
"Emergency Senshi meeting at the shrine."
Pausing the decide, she headed for the shrine, arriving in time to hide in the prayer room.
**************************************
A young priestess waited inside the shrine. She was about 15, had long black hair, violet eyes, and was feeding 2 crows. Rei looked up as Usagi ran up the stairs. Close behind her were Ami and Makoto. From the other direction came Minako.
When the girls had gather in the prayer room, Rei spoke up. "I called this meeting so that we could talk about the strange Senshi that fought the Captain and won with so little effort."
"Her powers appear to be mind-driven," Ami spoke up. "And given the coloring of her uniform, could she be Sailor Earth?"
"It's doubtful," Luna said. "During the Silver Millennium, we couldn't find her. Would she have been sent with us?"
"I have a feeling," Rei said, "that Ami is right. I also get the feeling that she should be older than us."
Silence greeted that statement for a moment before Minako spoke up.
"I wonder who she is..."
Just the, Sailor Pluto stepped into the room looking pale and clutching her Time Staff.
"Sorry to interrupt," she said politely. "But we have a problem. There is a veritable army of Cap-"
She was cut off as a flash of brown light behind a curtain caught her attention. A second later, Sailor Earth ran past her at high speed, shouting "Follow me!"
Pluto frowned, the opened a Portal. "Transform and get going. Uranus and Neptune need help!"
MARS CRYSTAL POWER!!
VENUS CRYSTAL POWER!!
JUPITER CRYSTAL POWER!!
MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER!!
MOON CRISIS MAKE-UP!!
The Senshi vanished into the portal, to come out on the edge of the park, moments after Sailor Earth got there.
**************************************
Earth got to the scene faster than she thought she could. She'd known exactly where the trouble was once Pluto mentioned it. Neptune and Uranus were laying about with "WORLD SHAKING" and "DEEP SUBMERGE!" and hardly making any progress with the Captains in the park.
A bird trilled and she looked up "Sailor Earth! Use your Mind Blast!"
Earth nodded, then closed her eyes, the broach on her chest-bow and her earrings began to glow.
Suddenly, the Captains all doubled over, clutching their helmets. In a voice filled with the strain of attacking so many at once, Earth shouted.
"Destroy them! Their armor is useless now!"
She heard the sounds of shouted attacks. With each attack, she had less and less Captains to hold. When the last had fallen, she too fell. But only to her knees to clutch her head in her hands.
Something landed on her shoulder, and a soft voices chirped into her ear. "Pull power from the Earth to restore yours. Ask nicely though."
She sent her agonized mind down, into the Earth.
"Please, please help me," she begged."
"Silly child. You should call on my power, not yours. But, my Senshi were always stubborn," the large yet gentle voice said with a chuckle. "Now return to your own mind and you'll feel better."
With a gentle nudge from the planet, she retreated to her head again, and opened her eyes as the pain fell away like water. The rest of the Senshi were circled around her, Mercury was scanning her. With a twist of her mind, she turned Mercury's computer off.
"You don't need that," Sailor Earth said as she climbed to her feet, only to find Pluto's Time Staff at her throat.
"Who are you," Uranus asked in a threatening voice.
Gently pushing aside the Time Staff, Earth bowed with a flourish. "May I present myself to my Princess. I am Sailor Earth."
Sailor Moon smiled and opened her arms, moving forward to hug Earth. "I've waited a long time to meet you, Sailor Earth."
"And I you, Princess," Earth replied, returning the hug. "Once I was grown, I wanted so much to meet Endymon's fiancé."
Sailor Moon blushed, then looked around. "We should go before the cops get here. Let's go back to the shrine."
They all nodded and split up, headed for remote places to de-transform before going to the shrine.
