Headline: Andy & Zhu Liqian again rumoured to have registered in Canana in '92
Since the news of Andy's rumoured g-f Zhu Liqian having a tour co in HK broke out, the media in TW is equally hot on the heels with their relationship. Lately a mag released the old news, with a big headline 'Andy Lau already married 8 years ago' on its front cover.
According to the report, Zhu was actually Andy's fan, both of them registered the marriage in Canana in 1992. But no document was used to prove it. Andy who keeps silence always on his romance news, again remains so with this news, esp this rumour of many years, he refuses to answer.

Results of the internet voting for Apple Daily Movies Appreciation was released lately, Andy Lau is selected by the netizens as the Best Actor in HK for year '99, this is an encouragement for him in the upcoming HK Film Awards.
After 2 rounds of voting, out of the 5,400 votes, Running Out Of Time by Andy Lau secured over 2,100 votes, Fly Me To Polaris by Cecilia Cheung was in the 2nd position with 1,300 votes, both leading far ahead of all the other movies. Running Out Of Time was voted as Best HK movie ....

Andy selling 'war-costume' to raise funds(Apple Daily)
On 16 Apr, Saturday, at Kuan Tang AWC office, Andy is having a 2nd-hand clothes sale, the sale opens from 2 to 6pm, bidding starts at 5pm. As before, he is selling those nice clothes worn by him before. Only cash is accepted.
In '98, the same sale was held at a shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui, the response was v good, esp those classical clothes worn by him before, such as the long gown worn during the concert, those wore in Full Throttle, & others. The fans went home with a good haul, but many were not aware that credit cards were not accepted, & went home disappointed.
This time Andy will take out his nice clothes for sale again, including those wore in the concerts. All proceeds will go to Andy Lau Charity Fund.

Headline: Andy declared: will not use change-face to make money
At an interview in Shanghai, Andy disclosed that he will not use change-face to make money, if he acquires the skill one day, he will seek the permission of his master before he puts it up on the stage or in movies.
He said his intention of learning the art is out of his fervent love for the Chinese traditional culture, he hopes everyone can take him as an ordinary person & allow him to learn quietly.
Andy was asked the hot topic if he will make use of the skill for commercial purposes? Andy replied calmly that he is only a student, if ever he knows the art, he will not anyhow use it on the stage, he will seek the opinion of his teacher, should anyone harbour any more doubt, just wait & see, see how he will do in future.
....HK belongs to China, Andy Lau is a Chinese, why cant the art be passed to him, this may even help to glorify the special Sichuan art, said another Sichuan change-face artiste.

Yesterday Sunday was especially busy for Andy! In the morning he had BBQ with fans at Fu Shan, enjoying the country tour. Though many fans were present, they were not interested in the food, they just wanted to be together with their idol. But Andy did not stay long, he stayed for abt 20 min, as he had to rushed to the promo of his net website.
The promo activity was held at the New Century SQ. As this is the first big scale promo, those who registered on the spot were given Andy's gifts,eg coasters, bookmarks etc, it attraced many fans to register, & abt a thousand fans gathered.
Andy arrived at 5pm.
In his dotcom there was a game where 10 lucky winners, out of 40,000 entries, with the most needy requests were selected to fillfilled their dreams with a sum of $100,000. Andy gave out the presents to 5 of them first, including 2 handicapped, who hope to have computers, & electric-powered wheel-chair, another one hopes to help pay medical bill for family member. One member said her mother has not gone for holidays for a long time, & hopes she can give her mom a chance. Andy said, "Okay lah! I sponsored her a life-long free tour! Andy is really generous!!
The other 5 winners have requests that will take time to full-fill & find, they will be given later. Andy laughed that one fan wrote he wishes to use $100,000 to buy his Cds.
(Good news!!) Andy said he is contempleting to have simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Koran, language on his dotcom for the convenience of overseas fans. He is thinking of having drama series on his site too, the script is being written at the moment, the leads are not fixed.
Asked if he will invite those under Star East? Andy said if it is not countering one another , as it is all working, such as going for shows in the different radio stns, it can be put on the net, but all this will be later!
Wu Gang as spoksman for a Hawaiian drink had quotated Andy had drank it before, & used his calligraphy to promote.
Andy exposed the truth, "The one I drank belongs to another brand, not his. The calligraphy was given by me to my friend who opened a new shop, it has nothing to do with that drink. In addition, I do not sell ad for health drink, as the drink is consumed to the body, everyone has different response, if something goes wrong, I will be responsible."

Today went for dubbing, for the movie Man & Woman, don't know how to explain ....., but it is really v special! I feel it is a nice movie to watch too!!! Nite time went to Wu bai concert, found out actually 'Rock concert' can be so successful, I really wish I can be like him, don't need to use anything, just a guitar, can funish a concert. Andy

Wu Bai had a v successful concert 2 nights ago, his feisty Bandsound music was infectious, as soon as it started, the fans were in high mood, this escalated as the show progressed, when Andy went up to duet with him World's No.1, it brought another climax to the show, during encore Chen Shen appeared, the audience were happy, finally most fans were on their feet clapping & dancing....
Wu Bai is satisfied with his concert, he is happy to see even Andy's fans came to support....

To advertise a fruit juice drink, Wu gang made use of Andy's calligraphy (Apple Daily)
Nancy Seet, Wu Gang, Zhu Mimi, et al were present at a talk at a Tsim Sha Tsui hotel to promote a Hawaiian Noni fruit juice drink yesterday.
Wu Gang brought out a banner bearing calligraphy 'Health, Source of beauty', saying it was from the hands of Andy Lau. But previously it was said Noni drink that was drank by Andy was actaully from China Da Ji Di, which is a rival brand of Hawaian drink, Wu Gang was suspected to be amking use of Andy.
The reporter called Andy who is in Shanghai. The assistant replied that Andy only drank Da Ji Di nani drink, he was not sure if Andy wrote the calligraphy.
Wu Gang said Andy had tested the Hawaiian drink on the 5th day of Chinese New Year, & said it was nice, & gave me the calligraphy...

Wu Bai & China Blues 2000 Concert was held at the Coliseum last night. Guests Andy Lau & Chen Shen helped to raise the atmosphere to the highest, though the money collected may not be a lot, but it sure wins acclaims.
Andy dueted with Wu Bai Taiwanese song, World's No. 1. Andy sang at his best, fans were carried away....

4/4---Hardly can get a day off, woke up in the afternoon, nothing to do, had a meeting, but was home v early. Andy
5/4---Home early yesterday, 'coz had to get up v early today, eyes still 'swollen' but had to film my new song's MTV. This song is a bit special, it is a new English song. It is the first time in my life I had spoken so much English in the filming, hope the foreigner understands what I say! Also thank him for writing the song for me! Headline: Zhu Liqian not seen on her birthday
6/4 is 'Mrs Lau' Zhu Liqian's b'day, the reporters were all v concerned if Andy will take any action. They waited in her office hoping to get a short interview from her, but failed to see her.
The staff indicated that since the news, Zhu seldom returns to the office, it is the same today. The reporters had to campe outside the office, hoped Zhu will step into the office.
Later when the reporter called the office, the staff who answered said there is no such person, they are really v protective to this lady boss.

Andy invited reproach in acknowledging master
Andy had acknowledged a master to learn change-face, his pic of kneeling down in front of the master was published in HK newspapers. If the saying goes, 'Man has gold underneath his knee',(meaning as a man, you dont kneel) Andy Lau's kneeling down is really a v serious & solemn gesture to learn the art, it is definitely not for propanganda.
Unexpectedly the reaction from the Mainland was 'the art involves violating knowledge protection, the art is not to be imparted casually'. The master was under a lot of pressure accordingly. Though it was said to be a personal view, but it has invited repercussions from many.
This Sichuan art is actually dramatising of a magical trick, it was introduced to Sichaun & has since become thier traditional art. Master Peng , with 40+ years of experience, a record of changing 14 faces in 25 sec is a record holder in Guniss book Of records.
It was said he learned without a teacher... The rule of not imparting knowledge is selfish, now in this 21st century, how come there is still people who hold on to this view? From Peng's self-acquired skill, who is to own the knowledge? The whole Chinese culture, should it be passed down, who is qualified to receive, & not in the 'casual' category?

Headline: Andy to dye hair blond in May for concert tours
Concert tours is the most profitable job of a singer. Andy will start his tours in China. But as the approval documents are not ready, he cannot start his promo campaign. With Andy's popularity he does not really need an early promo.
Usually in this type of concert tours, busunessmen will take the opportunity to make a profit out of it, such as organising tours with the promise of good seats & meeting the idols, there are many tricks, so fans have to be careful.
Andy is considering dying his hair back to blond for this tour, but the author is sure fans will not mind what color his hair is!

1 Apr---Human being, is really funny!!! Don't force, good thing cannot come out. At Live Unplugged yesterday, I was asked by mnay when I will write songs??? Finally at home last nite, after my work, reaching home, I 'vomitted', until I 'vomitted' out a song, not joking!!! Today went to the studio to finish the recording, never thought can be so fast. Anita Mui has high expectations for Andy to win the Best Actor award this year in HK Film Awards. On hearing this, Andy said," Me? Actually I've already got the award! Those who care & love me will like me to win , but I'm v relaxed, because if I act, have movies, I stand a chance!"
To be a favourite for the award will not give Andy any pressure, as he knows he won't win, but being viewed favourably by so many people make him v happy, as his acting is bing recognised, esp those in the same circle.

Headline: Lost 5 million, fail in appeal, Andy to put aside image right court case
In protecting own image copyright, Andy had appealed to the high court for an interim injunction several times last year, to stop Heng Sen Bank from using his image on the credit card, but a pity after many attempts, Andy still lose the case, his loss in lawyer & court fee amounted to more than 5 millions.
Though Andy had indicated he will continue with the case, but lately after advice from many, he has decided to put the case aside for the time being, further decision will depend on if Heng Sen has taken any other action.....

Andy Lau & CCT Multimedia had invested 1 million on andylau.com, to coordinate with the launch of a new portal, Andy strikes again. After his live-chat recently, he held another unplugged on the net at his AWC at Kuan Tang, he said," I want to let my 150,000 members sit at home comfortably & see me live on the net, & have a relaxed night!"
In the live-chat, his recent romance news was brought up, Andy cool & easy brought the topic over. He took note of his overseas fans too, switching from Cantonese to Mandarin. He was pursed by fans if he has children? He threw the question back to the fans & asked if they believed, when all answered, "Believe!" He was not sure to cry or laugh. Andy: Unforgettable? In TW, shoes are not allowed during recording! You have to cahnge to slipper on entering the stidio, not used to it, haven't tried not wearing shoes during recording, so I dislike going to TW for recording. I prefer to do the recording as if going on stage, must have make up & wear nicely.
