29/8---Gloomy day....heavy rain.
Have friends come from afar today, they come to Thailand to take part in car racing, actually I can be a guest, go to the site & experience the bustling atmosphere, but because of the change in shooting schedule, can only meet them, encourage them at meal times, hope when they win later, they can come & celebrate with me la......!Andy

28/8---Today is still a rest day, thought of sunbathing but cannot do so, bacause of the script I cannot become too dark. But I have other things to do too, the boss of the record co come to have meetings with me.
As mentioned yesterday, I went for a hair cut last night, now you can imagine, one who looks like a 'monkey ' Andy.

29/8---Andy changed to another look
After the 'moustachee' then to 'no moustachee', Andy again change his look because of the movie, now the other masterpiece is ---short hair! Lately, Andy has started filming the beginning of the movie, he has to cut short his hair, to suit the requirements. The one who does the trimming, is a Thai hairdresser, Andy has some knowledge on hairdressing, not sure if he takes part in the design of the hairstyle? If you are interested in the different styles sported by Andy, take note of this new movie.

27/8---Finish work v early in the morning today, actually have a day of rest, but because of a group of reporters come to visit, after waking up from 4pm onwards, the interviews are nonstop, talking nonstop....but I am very very happy! Because talking is easier than acting.
The scenes to be filmed tomorow will have different make-ups, will go for hair cut tonight, not sure if the hairdresser here can be trusted?!!!! Andy

Visit of old pals
28/8---Andy actually has a day that he doesnot need to film, & can rest, but suddenly a group of good friends come to visit, he is busy taking care of them, just who are these people? Andy even use his rest day to entertain them? They are actually the v senior & knowledgable editors of the press, usually they are v busy with thier own work, little chance of meeting them, & since they are v familiar with Andy, they arranged to come to Thailand & pay Andy a visit together, & at the same time report on Andy's filming here, Andy who meets old friends overseas, of course is v warm, they chatted & chatted happily together.

HEAVENLY King-turned-Thai boxer Andy Lau is having a ball of a time kicking around the ring in his new movie but, gasp, whatever happened to the macho moustache and goatee he grew for the role?
Judging from the slew of stories and pictures splashed across the Hongkong papers, the 37-year-old's 100th movie, A Fighter's Blue, had been receiving the type of hype that befits a Heavenly King.
Hair today, gone tomorrow for Andy Lau's bristly moustache in his movie, A Fighter's Blue, after complaints from Kelly Chen.
But of graver concern was the recent set of photos released, which did not show the guy baring his torso in boxing gear.
Instead, what grabbed attention was the conspicuous absence of the offending facial hair that got fellow singer Kelly Chen cringing during the shooting of the music video for their duet, I Don't Love You Enough.
Could it be that hiding behind the veneer of nonchalance was a sensitive soul whose pride had been bruised by the tactless remarks of the clueless lass? Chen was reported to have found the goatee and moustache ""a tad too bristly''.
The once-again clean-cut actor received bruises recently of a more physical nature during the filming of A Fighter's Blue.
To lend authenticity to his role, the perfectionist executed the stunts and boxing sequences himself and was a mere ""0.01 cm'' close to being a One-eyed Jack when his boxing rival punched too hard and too close accidentally .
Despite the numerous injuries, the macho man continued with filming. Way to go, Andy.

26/8---Filming of the toughest boxing match is finally over, shooting from now on is more relaxed, may have a day or a half to rest, for me to re-charge my energy.
Yesterday, came a batch of 'old ' friends, is a group of very senior editors. Before work today go for a meal of shark-fin rice, mainly to introduce fried fish maw & abalone lor rice, if anyone of you come to Thailand must try these.
At meal time, everyone is v happy, as when back in HK, everybody is busy with his own work, hardly have time to be together, this is an oppoturnity to reminisce. Andy

Kelly was at a show last night, when she sang I Dont Love You Enough, the backdrop was the MTV of this song. She shivered on seeing the MTV, saying she is not use to seeing herself in such scenes. Ronald asked her in their 3 previous MTVs, why she never did the same to him? She joked that next time, but he has to get another person to do for him. Adked if her bf mind, Kelly repiled that he does not sing karaoke nor read entertainment news, so he hasnt seen the MTV yet, but she is a decent girl, so he trusts her fully....

25/8---Shooting last night finishes at noon today, this is the longest working day, because want to complete filming the final match, when finished at the last shot, without any prior arrangement, actors, actress & audience, all stand up, all applause warmly, see how serious & absorbed they are, though I feel tired, I am very happy inside!
Received many phone calls from friends today, asking abt my injury, actually those are written by the reporters for it to appear real, the injury is required by the script, really I am alright, everybody please do not worry for me! Andy

26/8---Wah! Andy who is always very robust, now became injured in Thailand! As he is filming his 100th movie A Fighter's Blue, the stars acting opposite Andy other than stars themselves, they had really learned boxing before, so they are really powerful, Though Andy has been specially trained, but unluckily Andy still suffered from 'serious injury', the injury at the eye was serious!
Everyone dont need to panic, the above report is only from the script of the movie, the one who make Andy injured is actually himself, as Andy is v persistant with the after-efect of the movie, even with the special make up, he is very meticulous, even doing it himself, from pics here you can admire how he made himself the self-inflicted 'injury'!

24/8---Now I feel that time in the night is very long, time in the day becomes v short, because day is the time I finish work & sleep. Tonight abt time to start fighting, feel that the muscles are numb, have some pain, & somewhat tired.
Actually during shooting of the boxing match these few days, sometimes fight till too engrossed, unavoidably get injured, but those who are concerned abt me please dont worry, only superficial injury, small matter la....Andy

25/8---Andy has make a new friend lately, though they have just known each other, in front of everybody, they will be intimate for a while, you can see how much Andy love this new friend! Everybody dont be mistaken that it is Andy's girl friend, actually it is a monkey brought by one of the workers everyday , Andy falls in love with it at first sight, as it looks v cute, when Andy carries it, this small monkey snuggles on Andy's arm, as if throwing tantrums, even Tokiwa loves it!

2 days ago on the 23rd Andy filmed a boxing scene whereby he was supposed to be losing & become injured. Finally both he & the opponent were really injured at the fight.(...we fans in S'pore were losing & fighting a battle on that day too....)
To look real & to have good effect on movie, Andy appeared personally in every fighting scene, he has practiced for 1 over month & has become quite agile.
In one fighting scene, Andy had a 4-hour make-up to give him an injured look with face & mouth swollen.
During filming of this scene, Andy was to be hit by the opponent, they were both engrossed & fight like real. The Thai boxer gave Andy a hooked punch, this punch hit Andy right at the corner of the left eye, missing the eyeball by a mere millimeter! Blood gushed out from the wound. The director immediately ordered cut! Everybody was worried & rushed to check Andy's injury, Andy was seen covering his face & signalled them he is alright. Luckily it was a skin cut without any injury to the eye, Andy was sprayed with blood-coagulating substance & pain relieving medicine.
Andy however was calm, he joked, "If I know, I wont need the 4 hours of make-up!... I am not worried abt my look being marred!"
He was advised to stop filming or use a stuntman, but Andy insisted to carry on after some rest.
During this rest time, he reviewed the tape that had just been filmed, he said it is only common to be injured, no surprise. Andy is a real Man Of Steel.
Andy also sustained many bruises & bumps on the body. Despite all his injuries, he was very concerned with his opponent who is equally bruised & swollen in many parts. The Thai boxer was v touched by Andy's concern.
Tokiwa who was watching the shooting, gasped with awe at Andy's professional working attitude.
Hong Xian-ni was burgled & injured, Andy has sent the manager of BMG to pay her a visit & sent her his regards....

23/8---Tonight filming will have a bit of special efeect, so go a bit early to the scene for make up. Actually the stadium has matches everynight, tonight I can see the final match, wow......actually it is really very exciting & awesome, the boxer in order to win, go really all out, no wonder so many people like Thai boxing la. 24/8---When King Lau appeared, plus fully attired as aboxer, this formidable feel obviously shook the stadium. In order to make his presence outstanding, a troop of police was called upon to open the path for him, but they are the real Thai police, & not actors. They come specially to help in filming.
Other than the police that look real, Andy is in full gear for the match, the scene look just like real.
(...heehee...with a stretch of imagination, I could see you Thapanee in the audience seats...! ...Everyone must be very worried for Andy??? I had a shock this early am with those pics, pray Andy is blessed always... for he is the best & a man of good characters...)

2 nights ago Andy filmed an exciting boxing match in Bangkok for the movie A Fighter's Blue. He appeared personally in full gear, alike a professional boxer.
The scene was shot at the real boxing stadium Tuoiosiauh. As there are matches everynight at the stadium, they could only filmed the scene after midnight & continu till dawn. The place was rented & shooting has gone on for the last 2 days.
Andy was dressed to full, his has even shaved the moustache & goatee to give a fresh look.
The reporters visit Andy at the scene. At the changing room which was packed with workers, Andy suddenly requested the room be cleared. He explained later, "I want to remove my pants with the protecter! Very private, so must clear the room!"
In front of the reporters Andy knocked 3 times on the genitalia protector thro' his boxing shorts, 'tong! tong! tong!', he said with a laugh, "This is made from hard rubber, v hard, so even if hit by the opponents is not worried, he may have more pain than me!"
Andy did not use replacement for this scene, a professional was beside him to instruct him all the time. As the opponent is a real boxer, Andy is worried that fists legs have no eyes, just in case he is hit accidentally, esp at the sensitive part, he is not a father yet, even though how hot & uncomfortable, he chose to wear the protective gear.
While the reporters were there, Andy kept remaining them not to go near the ring, as it is a traditon that woman are not allowed to go near or touch the ring, not even the pole.
Tokiwa was at the audience scene the whole night, she looked at Andy with admiration for his seriousness in work & stamina.
the story in this movie narrates Andy was fixed at a boxing match & someone was killed, he ended up in jail. After the term he tried to look for his wife who had died leaving behind a dauhter. Later Andy & the director of orphanage Tokiwa has fond feelings & he was forced to come out for the match again...

21/8---After handed up my diary last night, I started work, the first thing is to shave away my small moustachee, somewhat not use to it 'tim', but....no choice, the scene requires this.
But in the process of shaving v happy, from '2 strokes chick' becomes '1 stroke', then the tuff of goatee below the chin, quite funny....
hahaha...hahaha...the whole process was videoed by andylau.com, believe everyone will be able to see this. Andy
22/8---Filmed till dawn, thought after a few hours of sleep in the room, I want to go to the swimming pool & continue with the sleep plus suntan, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, unknowingly sleep till 7 pm in the evening, by the time I wake up, time to do shooting again.
To look perfect, boxing scene will be shot at a rented real boxing stadium, so these few days all shooting will be done after midnight. Though at midnight, the place here is not at all quiet, packed with people everywhere, heard a lot of cheers from the audience while on the ring, really wish filming is over, really wish to have the concert early. 22/8---In order to film the movie, Andy has kept moustached look lately, but now he has returned to his original Andy Lau look.
A new scene relates his life & death match at the ring, for this match, he has to shave off his moustache, & appear as a clean-shaven guy andyalucom first to disclose the look, for all to see.
23/8---Andy has quite a lot of boxing scene to shoot in this movie, some he acted himself, some have 2 replacements, andyalu.com presents you with the pic of these 2 persons..
The final scene is a boxing match, in Thailand, there is a tradition that the ring is a taboo to women, females are not allowed near or touch , so during filming, the whole crew is males, all females are barred, even Andy's assistant is no examption, even Tokiwa can view from afar, everyone is treated equally.

29/80---Last night..Actually should be this morning, slept for only 2 hours have to set off to Thailand. On reaching hotel dont care '37=21' go straight to the poolside & sleep for 1 over hour, actually only night time has work, return to the room & sleep some more, preparing fot the match at the ring.
I think while I am working hard on the stage, everyone is fast asleep, not disturbing everyone la...

21/8---Andy has retrurned to Thailand yesterday from HK, to coontinue with filming. Andy has v tight shooting schedule, plus boxing scenes under the extreme hot weather, he is working so hard, the best reward is of course for him to eat well stay well & travel well.
So the co has arranged a vehicle specially for use by Andy only, to take him to & fro from hotel to shooting scene, the vehicle is v spacious & comfortable, it allows him to take a rest when he is not filminmg, so he can conserve energy, the external look is beautiful too, it suits Andy who is both inwardly & outwardly perfect in character.
(...Sawasdeeka Thapanee, do you see this King's vehicle there??)
