100 tables were initially planned, but due to space constraint, 88 tables banquet was held. Each fan paid HK $400 to join. They occupied 50 tables, & were happy to join, as they can get close to Andy too. The remaining 38 tables were uased to treat TeamWork staff & Andy's friends, including media, Metro, CR personnels. Obviously Andy is not bothered with the zero award in CR, he even joked that he is getting closer to Metro, so as to get more awards next year!

Andy was in all white snazzy suit. The occasion was live at andylau.com, hit rate reached 100,000.

Andy started the show with 3 songs, Love U 10,000 Yrs, Not Loving U Enough & Silly Child. The fans waved & sang along. It was like his concert, he commented, "Getting 4 awards is not as happy as to be together with you (the fans)!"

After that he played games, cut cake, & popped champagne. He said, "The fans treated me to dinner tonight, I am embarassed, so I will take out $50,000 for the lucky draw." Mr. & Mrs Heung contributed another $38,000. A total of $200,000 was used for lucky draw. 60 lucky winners were drawn. Another 10 were given cellphones.

Andy sang Moon Represents My Heart as he drew out the lucky nos. A surprise guest appeared, he was Alan Tam! Andy passed the mike to him , together they drew lucky nos & dueted Sha Lala & ...

Alan congratulated Andy on his achievements. Andy was grateful to Alan as he has seen Andy thro' all these years of growing up, when Andy was down he was there to encourage him, so when he is happy, he wont forget Alan, he wants to share this happiness with him. Andy joked that fans have also bought Alan's album, not because of him but because of Alan's high quality music. Alan commented that if Andy can say like that he has already grown up.

Andy moved a lot to mingle with fans & did not have chance for a proper meal.

Anther guest for the night was Liu Wei Chiang. Liu has officially joined TeamWork. Andy said Liu will be the chief director of TeamW, abt 6 to 7 movies have been planned, but details will be made known later when they are more definite.
Liu was the photographer when Andy filmed Mongkok Ka Man, later they joined hand in opening recording studio, their first cooperation was in The Duel & BBM.

Andy also announced the good news that AFB though a drama movie has collected 20 mil in box-office, this is a new record for him as previosly drama movie managed to collect only abt 15 mil.
Andy thanked the support from all, the nos of cinemas willing to screen the movie has increased from 10 over to 26!

On cooperation with Karen Mok, Andy said it is up the director to choose female lead, & did not comment if Karen has joined TeamW.
TeamW office will give out a 7,000 sq ft space to AWC as new office.
Lastly Andy concluded, "Time for golf! (meaning he is old), as I have no plce to accomodate my fans!" Victory party ended in a most jubilant way!

10/1---Tonite is really v ....happy!
Tonite, together with abt a thousand friends, have a celebration party, other than because of the good results I have this year, AFB box office has exceeded 2 mil, 'head holding high' entering its 4th week, from 10 over cinemas increased to 20 over cinemas screening, andylau.com live broadcast is also v successful, according to statistics, abt 100,000 over fans have celebration with me tonite!
Attended such a big occasion, have so many frineds to support me, what is happier than tonite! Andy

Needing You & AFB have brought mainstream entertainment movies to new dimensions, despite belonging to Hollywood style, Chinese entertainment movies should improve this way to win back market. These 2 movies are definitely not Westernised in a stifling way, esp Needing You. It has special taste of HK, the white-collar storyline is in accordance to reality, the script on Shenzhen was especially well filmed. AFB filming Thai boxing & Thailand, not a HK story, but excel in directing skill which shows professionalism, Andy Lau acted well with character.

9/1---Had a meeting with staff in charge of andyalu.com, discussed a lot on the plans & expansuion of this website, also had different plans, esp on the design of the page, heard many different views, hope can expand to an AWC on the net, & communicate with you anytime anywhere.

Regarding Yi Zhen's 'speech' on CR music awards, though she praised highly of Andy, many felt she was actually 'belittling' him. Andy said he did not response because he didnt hear it himself with his own ears. He believes Yi would not do such a thing, she has always come for his movie premieres, including the latest AFB, she always gives Andy views on his movies, she is in fact, v good & supportive to Andy! Andy added.

During CR music awards, Jacky Cheung was ticked off by the audience to 'retire'. Andy said, "I had been told to be old yet still wanted to compete with the young before, of course the feeling is not nice. But I feel my career & future should not be affected by a few individuals. I am not sure who shouted the words that night, maybe it was just the bad mood at that moment. Those who support music would not be bothered by age of singer, music has no age difference. Those who enjoys music knows the importance of singers"
Actually to talk on life span in entertainment circle, among so many other artistes, Andy is the eldest, with 20 years in showbizz, 5 years longer than Jacky.

Andy was asked if he feels he really is old.
"Compared to the 10 years younger singers, I am of course old, but compared to over 40+ yr-old singer, I am younger la! I think fan will be upset if the idol she supports reach my age & is considered old by others!"

Aaron Kwok had earlier indicated that his music line is closer to TVB & RTHK, hinting that he will get more awards in these 2 stns. Andy said his belongs to the middle pathway, v similar to many, but maybe not near to one! (He is pointing to CR!)

Someone commented that Anita Mui who starred together with Sammi Cheng & Cecilia Cheung in a movie is old. Andy admitted graciously, "When I am with Andy Hui, Nic Tse together to get the Most Popular Singer award in Metro Radio, it is an old, middle & young combination! This world is a happy one because it comprises 3 generations, just like my father is old, but he is always the best!"

7/1---AFB finally goes up to the throne in box office, really v happy!
Can celebrate together on the 10th of Jan! Now other than preparing prg for that day, also worried abt the 'grand wear' for that day. If anyone has idea, such as what you want me to wear, what type of clothing, how to celebrate for the night, do so at the message board!
On the msg board, many friends still said v hard to buy tickets for AFB, if AFB can be shown for 4 weeks, it will give convenience to all, that will be good!
