Andy Lau who has plans to go global with his ventures, has stepped into TW market officially. As he is now busy with the launch of his Cantonese album due for release on the 15th & premiere of movie on the 21st, he couldnt go to TW. His good friend of 20 years & partnet of 10 years, Li Xiao Lin, came to TW yesterday. The new co nmg in TW will appoint Miao Siew Li as its chief manager.
The first artiste to sign on will be Su Yew Peng, whose new album Happy Or Not Happy was released lately by the co, there is plans for him to act in a new TV series, The Yang Saga.
The co aims to rope in artistes, film TV series, produce albums, & manage concerts. The co alreday has many artistes in China under its wing. [...names v hard to translate...]
Li disclosed Andy will have 4 movies to film in the coming year, he has plans for a musical play, which is scheduled for staging in August, the play will cover areas in HK, S'pore, Beijing & Shanghai, 4 places. As there is limitation of space in TW, there is no plan to stage the show there at the moment.

Beijing radio stn lately released the names of 5 awards winners for the Hits Awards organised by RTHK. The 5 singers are Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Faye Wong, Nicholas Tse & Kelly Chen. This has led to suspicion that RTHK has fixed the results.
When contacted by the reporter, RTHK chief was shocked with the news. He said he had given Beijing a list of names of the singers to apply for permit in performing. RTHK themselves are not sure who will attend, online voting closes on the 17th. Nobody knows who the Top 10 are. But the 5 names mentioned are popular singers & would most probably become some of the winners. As it is the first time cooperating with Beijing, there maybe some glithches, maybe the stn is just showing off its importance.

Andy Lau hopes to relaunch Teamwork with a bang, he had sought Stephen Chow cooperation earlier on. But the asking price of Stephen Chow is a whoping 15 million. This figure is too shocking for Andy who has never thought of it. Teamwork negotiated with Chow to lower the price, promise to give Chow bonus share if there is profit, but Chow turned down the offer, the copoeration is now called off. Chow asks for such a high price, yet he is not too popular overseas, see if he can employ himself to fim movies!

11/12---watch 'A Copy' of Ah Hu, that means music alreday added, sound effect completed copy of a movie. After watching....tears just flow down without control, the movie is just too touching! Andy went to CR yesterday to attend the press interview for a radio drama, titled 'Long Long ago, there was a Santa Claus..', that will be done by him. His partner is a 7 yr-old girl, two of them have a fair amount of conversation in the drama.
The drama is abt a postman named Andy in a small town in America who believes there is Santa Claus. By chance he meets the little lonely girl & helps her to fulfill her wish. It is a v touching story.
Andy said he hopes even the children will listen to the drama, they can send their wishes to the station & he will try to help them to fulfill !
On what his wish is, Andy replied that he wished his younger brother was not born on X'mas, as everytime this year, people will shower him with preseents & not him! Of course he wishes there will be more happiness on earth!
TVB announced the songs nominated for its Hits Awards yesterday, Andy has only 2 1/2 song, if he were to choose, he would rather the duet with Kelly win, so he wont feel sorry for Kelly.
In TVB's Happiness In Dong Hua, though the amt collected was less than last year's, the amt of viewers had increased, with an average of 33 points or abt 2.11 mil viewers. Andy Lau with the song Silly Child & Vollyball skit scored the highest of 37 pts or 2.37 mil viewers.

After 8 hours of marathon fund-raising, Happiness In Dong Hua collected HK$68,888,888, at 4:15am closing time yesterday.
In its 20 over shows, Lisa Wong & Andy Lau with their singing raised the highest figures. Lisa, with her low-cut v-shaped gown singing Hot Coffee alone raised 5.1 mil.
Andy was the 2nd with the highest amount raised. A total of 1.5 mil was collected.
His boxing with Qian Jia Le raised HK$200,000. As the floor of boxing stage was hard, Andy had bruises all over. But he said his injury was nothing compared to Wu Gang who had bleeding with abrasions before.
After boxing, when Andy prepared to go home, TVB stopped him, saying a Miao family & Chicigo U Basketball Association had donated HK500,000 & US$100,000 respectively to request a song Silly Child from Andy, to duet with Eric Tseng.
As there was incidence of prank calls before, they had to confirm that it was true as it was a large sum of money. Andy waited for 2 hours before it was confirmed true. Asked if it is from his friend Miao Qiao Wei? Andy replied it is impossible, as Miao Qiao Wei will not asked him to wait for 2 hrs, & Miao is a v low-keyed person, he usually does donations quietly.

T.Tokiwa acting skill is first-class, there is no doubt abt it. She had acted with many Japanese actors before, everyone are good & passionate actors, Takako 'electric eyes' are equally terrific, mesmerising actors & fans. But in this collaboraton with Andy, Takako surrenders herself. She said it is the first time her 'electric eyes' becomes 'tear eyes', when chased by Andy, she was so moved to the extend of having real feelings!
Takako admitted that v few men can turn her to become so crazy & made her cried so much. In that scene, the director arranged for her to quarrel with Andy on the truck, she chased Andy down the vehicle, & drove off. The director had prepared some verse for her to say, something like she did not wish to do so, but from the rear mirror, she saw Andy running after he truck on the road, she couldnt understand why at that moment, she had a sudden feeling of 'love' for him, the tears just streamed down uncontrollably, in the whole process she couldnt utter a word, the director saw that the way she looked at the mirror was touching enough, so omitted the verse that she needed to say. Actually Andy was the one that made her became like that!
In 2nd cooperaton with HK actor, Takakao has met with one who could make her reveal her true emotion, she cried once previously acting with a male Japanese actor, but it was just a drop of tears. Andy had made her cried 3 times. In the ending part when she was videoing Andy in the match, she saw Andy being beated up terribly, she knew it was filming, but by just looking at the pic she felt like crying, finally it became uncontrollable, the tears flow non-stop. She did not use any artificial tears in the whole movie, every drop was real, & it is for Andy, said Takako.
After filming, Takako thought she would be better. But as she watched the movie on the screen, when Andy re-united with his daughter, the scene was so touching, she again cried. "Andy is v good in filming emotional scene," praised Takako. Andy had filmed a movie in '89 titled Vietnamese Rose. 11 years later, he is still barred by Vietnam from entering the country.
In this movie, Andy acted as a journalist working in Vietnam, he fell in love with a local interpreter acted by Cherie. As Andy showed dissatisfaction with the govt, he was put to jail.
Regarding being banned by the govt from entering, Andy said he is not aware of this. China Star had contacted him earlier for a date, but he couldnt make it as he has to perform in Dong Hua charity show & film BBM.
Charles Heung when contacted denied & said he s not aware of this as Mrs Heung handles all matters.
Hong Chu Xin, HK movie producer based in Vietnam when contacted laments that he had tried many ways but failed to get a permit for Andy, he did not elaborate on the reason for the ban.Francis Wu commented Andy & Vietnam are not wrong, just that HK movie producers like to deprecate other country sometimes, he joked taht Andy can hold some charity concerts in Vietnam to neutralise the situation.

9/12---Went to hospital to visit a friend tonight, he is only 20 year-old, though he has serious illness, his life force is v strong, he told me that he keeps remembering the phase I had in one of my movies, "If one has the confidence one may not win, but if one has no confidence, sure one will lose." In their first encounter, Andy had lost to Qian, yesterday Andy said he wanted the revenge, he poseed with scissor-legs to subdue Qian, it was v comical.
Qian Jia Le was once a wushu exponent, will Andy be able to beat him tonite?
The reporters asked Andy who will win in tonite's tussle? Andy joked that it depends on the amount of money raised, & added people can bet on the match, in this way he can see how much confidence people have on him!
Both of them felt that 6 min given by TVB is too short, they wish it can be prolonged to 20 mins!
Andy was asked if he reminded Qian which parts of the body cannot be hit? Smiled, "Many places cannot hit ooh!"
A mag had reported that Takako after steam-boat dinner with Andy was tipsy, she was unsteady & was laughing loudly due to too much drinking. Andy strongly denied, he said "I did not drink the whole nite! Takako only took sour-plum soup, will that make her drunk?" Andy said different country has different cultures, maybe laughing & merrying is a way of expressing happiness, Takako is always a cheerful person & likes to laugh a lot.

7/12---After finishing work at the office today, practiced for the show 'Happiness At Dong Hua'. It is more difficult & challenging this year then the previous years, so I have to spend more time in practising it, if everyone wants to see, take note of this Sat prg! Watch a 'Xiang Shen' (cross-talk) VCD at home, it is like 'Tong Tok Xiu' nowadays, where the 2 actors on the stgae use simple gestures to act out the supurd eloquence, really excellent! Headline: Storm Riders II, Andy's becomes the lead role
Storm Riders, directed by Liu Wei Chiang, was a blockbusters in '98 with the highest HK box-office of 40 million. The movie has also made a name for Liu Wei Chiang.
Golden Harvest has always wanted to film a sequel, but Aaron Kwok had turned down the role of Bu Qing Yin. When Liu & Wong Jin joined Star East, they planned to film the sequel with Leon Lai & Louis Ko as the 2 leads, but Leon was not interested with the Nie Feng role, so the plan was called off.
When Liu joined Teamwork to film movies, he has the intention to co-produce the movie with Teamwork, & has thought of the boss Andy acting the role of No Name.In the comic series, No Name is the master of Bu Qing Ying, his character, makeup has the image of a hero, thus Liu has Andy in mind for the role.
Accordingly, Liu has plans to film this movie in the middle of next year. Ekin Chen will still act as Nie Feng, Louis Ko will act as Bu Qing Yin & Andy as No Name. If Liu is successful in inviting Andy for the role, the main storyline will center on No Name, Andy will play a meaty role.
The reporter contacted Liu, he avoided the topic, saying it will be next year to talk on, now he is busy filming Blue-blooded Man.
Andy had re-launched Teamwork With the support of CCT Multimedia, hoping that with the capital from CCT, he could put his hands in more productions. But this year dotcom shares have tumbled, CCT boss Mai Shou Tang asset shrinked. Even if CCT were to support Andy, he will still be v careful with cash. But Andy has good overseas selling capability, Teamwork should have little problem in getting cash from the boss to film movies.

2 nights ago Andy went for a recording of a TVB prg on 'New IT Skill Knowledge' (literal translation). Kelly Chen, Chen Quan Xi, Xiao Xue etc also attended. Andy as first guest, wore white leather jacket & black leather pants, complete with silvery chain & belt. He sang 2 songs. He was chosen as 'Realistic IT Person', as his dotcom centers more on contents, & he is v influential, making some returns for the site.
Kelly left early. As usual, Andy obliged with the reporters' interview. He was asked on his web & the promo of Ah Hu.
Andy said he is a 'realistic IT person', he is not in a hurry to list his dotcom but intends to work hard slowly step by step. His co does not earn a lot of money, neither has it spent a lot on the advertisement, he will rather improve on the contents of his dotcom. Though many co has wanted to cooperate with him, he has not accepted any, he hopes to develops globally in future.
In the promo of Ah Hu, 4 giant posters have been put up at the entrance to the underwater tunnel, at the most striking spots. Due to regulations, Andy had chosen posters which are not too sexy.
He said, Takako posters have no problem as she does not exposed. But Ah Hu as boxer bares the upper body so he had to chose one with the lower half of upper chest cut off to exclude the nipples. If the poster is higher, he has to cut squares over the dots!In addition, the color cannot be too striking, or bloody. He had chosen a soothing blue as the background.
Andy joked that for safty of the drivers, he chose a poster of him looking like a traffic police with gestures directing the traffic, & lately the traffic seems to be better!

TVB has a charity prg called 'Happiness In Dong Hua' (literal translation) this Sat, 9th Dec. Andy will box with Qian Jie Le in this fund raising activity.
2 nights ago they had a warming up session in a Thai Boxing studio in HK. Andy acted as Ah Hu tussling Qian, but his heroic image was all ruined by the latter. Andy was one with no power, boxed by Qian till collapsed, it was v comical.
Asked why his skill has become so lousy? Andy joked that Ah Hu is also one who plays 'false boxing' to begin with, this is a stragedy, he played false strokes during practising, in the real show, when Qian is without precautions, he will show his true color. The harder he boxes, he hopes more calls will come in to donate money.
Andy said he will followed Western boxing style but because of stage limitations, some high risk stunts have to be excluded.
In real boxing game, there are 5 rounds, each lasting abt an hour. Time slot given for his show is abt 5 to 6 mins, he hopes TVB can increase to 12 mins, so more fund can be raised. Andy also hopes that Lydia Sum can be the umpire that night, if this is possible, it will be more interesting!

4/12---Ah Hu is due for screening soon, all the promo activities are gaining momentum, every time go back to office, see that the staff is v engrossed in the promo work, v thankful!
