With Andy's intensive promo of movie, box-office from the cinemas for the first day was good, abt 90 % full-house. Hover(?) cinema was forced to open 3 mid-night shows after the premiere, with additional morning & pm shows the next day. Boss of cinema was v happy saying such thing had not happened for a long time.

Andy was interviewed by Jacky Wu TV e-generation prg yesterday afternoon, they talked on antics during filmimg.

At 2pm, Andy went to Xi Men Ting for the continuation of AFB promo. Whereever he went large crowd gathered to look & cheered. He came with a convoy of 5 jeeps & 2 lions prancing, admid loud bangs of cymbals & drums. Andy waved to onlookers, many were v excited to see him. Many more wanted to shake hands with him, some followed the jeeps all the way. With Andy's appearance at the walkng mall, busy Xi Men Ting turned chaotic, thousands thronged the street, police were called in to maintain order. Andy was v touched with the response, he thanked that the weather was good.

Andy was escorted up Hover cinema boxing ring, he posed & acted along with the lion dance. He gave the lions red packets after they threw out pineapples & carrots which are symbals of prosperity.

Andy antics won many laughters & cheering, the fans requested him to sing, he sang the theme song on the spot, the street turned silence with his light singing, but burst to loud applaue after he completed singing.

Other than telling them abt Thai boxing, he invited fans to go up the stage to talk on the most touching moments in the movie.
Some said they liked to see Andy chasing TT's van, his daughter calling him daddy,etc. Andy protested, "I spent lots of energy to box, also v exciting, hope you can see more to realise how hard I worked during filming!"

Tees & posters were to be given out with answers given but was withdrawn as the crowd maight became unruly. For safty reasons they were not given out. When it was over at 3+pm, the org distributed posters.

Fans had followed Andy trails faithfully these few days, they packed TV recording studios whe Andy went to film 'Weekend 8 pm Show' by Central Stn (??) & TVBS Super Sunday.
At recording of Super Sunday yesterday, a special prg was designed for him, i.e to imitate a World Boxing championship. Andy wore an explosive hairstyle, it look hilarious, with gloves to challenge Harlem Yu, Qiao-qiao & Ah Liang.
Sis Xian Yan called herself 'Duan Takako Tokiwa' & cheered Andy at he beginnig of the match. She wanted the same scene as in the movie: to rub nose & pout lips. Andy complied willingly. Their comical ways won many laughters & jealousy from fans.

It was of course not a boxing game, but compete to see who is more popular. The 4 turned phone books & called to ask if the other party know who they are, finally they were of abt equal in popularity. In the following competion on talking, Harlem said, "I love you", followed by Xiao Yan who turned to Andy & said, "You love me", Andy was quick to follow, "Thick-skinned!" Everyone laughed!

Headline: Ah Ya married Andy, sent to nuptial chamber

Days before Valentine Day, Ah Ya went to nuptial chamber with dream-lover Andy, under a TW TV prg.

When Ah Ya was young, her friends had all fancy Hello Kitty. But to her H Kittey was too childish, she is only interested in man, & always sought dreamlover. When she was in Primary 2, she dreamt abt Andy once & she decided to marry him!
Under Jacky Wu's prg, Ah Ya in wedding gown acted in a 'snatch wedding' prg.
As Jacky was interviewing Andy, she snatched the oppoutunity when they came down the stairs. The crew threw confetti, Nono acted as the priest, she married Andy by force on the spot.

Andy was caught by surprise, despite that, he willingly kissed Ah Ya, admist the fun carried Ah Ya up & walked into the nuptial chamber.
Andy joked, "Why did not tell me earlier, I am wearing sports suit with jeans, it is too casual for wedding, should look more handsome with proper clothes."
But Ah Ya was too happy, she said, "I saved money when I was in P6 with my sis for a full month just to watch Andy's concert, this time I can marry him, I shall donate the fee back to the prg."

9/2---Still in TW.
Afternoon went to Wei-Siew square movie street (?), attended AFb promo activity, The org set up boxing ring, selected a male & a female from the audience to play on stage, they acted as boxers on the ring , before the match of course Ah Hu me had to demostrate the correct steps & methods of boxing la!
Dont belittel little girl, she boxed with poise, most preferred spot is the face, lucking all dodged by me, otherwise my fac will be...haha
Nite time went to Xie Men Tin premiere cinema, really packed to 'man mountain man sea', so happy to see so many fans. See that you are in full support, you have given me the greatest encouragement to film more good movies. Hope AFB can get good results in TW!
Nite time together with the crew & 6 AWC members went for dinner. (They are the lucky winners at AWC Bday party draw). Of course, must take my most fave, ---'ma-lak steamboat', after dinner, had gp photo taken.
After that returned to hotel to rest, tomorrow will be back in HK.

Early yesterday morning Andy was interviewed by a TV stn newscaster Chen Jin Lan in the hotel gym. During the interview, Andy not only thought Chen how to do Thai boxing, he said to her thoughtfully, "You as reporter have lots of pressure, if you have unhappiness, just punch & kick me, vent your anger on me!" Chen felt v warm inside.
He received a few punches form the reporters with his tough bare chest. In the interview, Chen foung out a secret abt Andy, Andy is actually a 'shoe-craze', if he sees one he likes, he wont miss the chance, he has collected 3 to 4 hundreds pairs so far!

In the afternoon, he went to a square where a boxing ring was set up. 5 jeeps paved the way for him on the road, fans chartered 2 coaches following behind. Andy waved to onlookers on both sides of the road. It looked grandious.

The square was fully packed with fans. The host was Tao-zhi. Andy in casual dress & boxing gloves, had a close encounter with fans, admist beating of drumbs . He played games & taught fans boxing, v impressive with his slow & fast punches.
A male fan accepted the challenge & boxed with a female fan, but he was v gentle, Andy commented, "He is like me, v protective to the girls."
When Andy boxed with the girl, she was v cheerful but did not give chance with her punches. Andy received a few punches from her, this made the other fans screamed with protest. Andy said, "Dont box my head, I need the face to live, you can box anywhere on my body, doesnt matter!" The girl, however, said, "Who say! One part of body cannot box, it is useful!" Andy sprang backwards instantaneously on hearing this, Tao-zhi said this girl is terrific, audience roared with laughter. Andy pretended to lose & dropped on the stage on seeing the girl was serious with the game!

Andy gave out AFB singlets & posters to fans. He tried to throw to fans on the 2nd floor but none of them could catch them, all dropped to the fans downstairs!

The activity was to be 1 1/2 hr but Tao-zhi closed it after 45 min, as Andy had to go for other TV prg, the fans did not have enough, but luckily so as it rained soon after.

At 6:30 in the evening, Andy attended movie premiere. As 2 to 3 hundreds tickets were given out as complimentary, the fans were left with no tickets. They complained to Andy, Andy finally sugested opening standing tickets, to allow all the fans in, everyone was happy.

Andy was thankful to the support given, he hopes the fans can rendered the same support when the movie opens today in all cinemas.

After the premiere, Andy went for 2 more TV recordings.
Andy appeared together with the newscaster Chao Xin Pin at 9pm Dong Shen News as a double newscasters. Andy was interviewed on his 100 movies & had his love life fortold by horoscope.
Chao was v impressed by Andy. Many of her colleagues were v anxious with Andy's visit, she was v worried that they will broke down the glass panes!

8/2---How do you do! We meet again!
Holiday over, back to work.
Really man cannot be lazy, otherwise all the 'lazy worms' will come out to disturb.
Went to TW today for a few promo activities, but every prg looks as if slower by a beat.
Now the movie market in TW has dropped to bottom of the valley, but this has inspired my fighting spirit, though the route is tough, I will contrive hard, hope step by step the market can pick up.
Hope all in the movie industry work together!

Andy's long holidays is finally over. He returned to HK 2 nights ago. At the time of his arrival, there were 7 to 8 flights arriving HK airport: from KL, Sydney, Manila, TW, Tokyo, & BKK.
In all the major Chinese festivals, Andy will go to KL. He was asked where he had come from at the airport. He replied, laughingly, "Where do I come from? From Sydney transit in KL, go Manila buy dried mango, go Tokyo shopping, then to TW for a meeting, then to BKK for prayer, then back to HK!" He was talking nonsense for the reporter to have an answer! Even if Andy does not say, everyone knows he came back from KL! His rumoured gf Zhu LIqian is a M'sian from KL. What did he do in KL is obvious, there is no need to ask. [Sing Tao]

Though Andy is not in HK, he is quite aware of the happenings in HK. On Stanley Tang wanting him to take the place of Aaron in the movie Yue Fei, Andy denied the allegation. He said he does not wish to act in Yue Fei, as he does not want to be involved in the dispute.
He said he had dinner with Tang a few times before, they talked on cooperation, but nothing was on Yue Fei. During music awards, Tang asked him if he was on holidays, again he did not mention Yue Fei at all.
There are a lot of scripts to work with, not only Yue Fei. On Stanley praising his acting skill in AFB, Andy said actually he admires Tang's action movies a lot, but his work is full this year, the fasteast for any cooperation with Tang will have to be next year.

On rumour of his acceptence to Sichuan opeara school, Andy turned grim-faced, said he does not wish to talk on this matter, there is lots of pressure, he does not wish to be mistaken as propaganda.

Many fans waited for Andy in the airport, as it was v crowded, Andy was again forced to leave the hall via the Forbidden zone.

Andy left for TW yeaterday at abt 7am.

Andy was in TW yesterday for the promo of his 100th movie AFB.
Fans of all ages followed him from airport to hotel for the press con.
The organiser specially made an ice-sculpture of figure 100 for Andy to smash. Andy donned boxing glove & in boxers' professional pose, with a malet smashed the sculpture.
Many AWC members armed with boxing glove & with banners were there to cheer. Many had alreday seen the movie in HK.

It is not easy to have filmed 100 movies, it is no wonder Andy was so happy. He said he wishes to act till the age of 60, hope to have another 100.
Andy jokeds that he hopes to coact with Meg Ryan who is now single, but maybe not Niclole Kidman, as his neck will get too tired after lifting too long.

Of his 100 movies, Andy said the most unforgettable one is 'Song of Rainbow', his first movie, though many have not seen it at all. His acting in this movie was first recognised & was subsequently given the chance to act in Boat People.
His most satisfying movie is Needing You, the one he likes the most is '91 Return Of Condor Heroes. The most impressive actress is Taiwanese Xiao Hong Mei in Sworn Brothers, she is so pretty after make-up, Andy wanted the reporterts to bring out the tape if they dont believe him. Movie which he was boxed till he lost orientationss is AFB.

Andy said Teamwork has 8 movies to film this year, he will film abt 2 to 3. Andy does not reject any good scripts. His main interest is still acting.

Andy acted as a boxer in AFB, in both matches, his opponents were the real Thai boxing champs, champs of the 2nd & 6th tournament. Andy had practised intensively before & during filming. He appeared v macho on screen, but actually he was boxed till he lost his temper. Andy said he tried one real punch from the real boxer, even one punch is unberable.
Andy was most impressed in a scene when he boxed with the champ boxer, he had make-up of injured face for the match. After removing the make-up, he realised corner of eye was actually injured, with real blood oozing out! The replaced actor couldnt stand the punch & quit, so he had to do it himself. He injured his ankle too.

Despite all the pain, Andy had a moment of pride. In chasing TT's truck, filming was done from 10am to 3pm. At one point Andy's legs were too tired & was replaced by a temp actor, this actor however surrenderd after 1/2 a hour as he was too exhausted, Andy said he is older but can run better!

Andy praised highly of TT.

In this movie, Andy has a 14 yr-old daughter. He acting as a father was v convincing, is he a real father?

Andy said it is only in the movie, definitely not true in real life. In a sure tone, he said, "If I have a child, I will definitely married the child's mother." he added even in his younger days, he did not allow any female to carry his seeds, so if ever there is one pop out claiming to be his son it has to be fraud.

He has a nice age abt 17 , he is like an elder to her but she argued with him sometimes as to why he bothered abt her when he is not her father, further more she likes Jacky Cheung more!

When will he have one then?
Andy joked if he is not careful, maybe when he is drunk! But he stresses he has none, he will not 'take a ride without paying for the ticket.' He will definitely married before he has a child.

Andy is not worried abt his age , he said one must choose roles that suit the age, such as man of 40 should not act in role meant for 23.

As in previous years, HK Coliseum slots for concerts are again fully booked this year. The golden slots are taken up by 2 Heavenly Kings & 1 Queen.
Andy Lau will hold abt 45 stage plays in Aug & Sept summer holidays. Andy has indicated his wish earlier on to do stage show, looks like he will be able to fulfill his wish this year.

The falling-out between Stanley Tang & Aaron Kwok is intensifying. Yesterday a newspaper report indicated that Stanley is paving way for N Fujiwara to enter Hollywood & she has high chance to be the new generation Bond girl, at the same time, Stanley is sealing way for Aaron Kwok, with the change in the lead role of his upcoming movie Yue Fei.

It was rumoured Andy Lau is the likely candicate to play lead role in Yue Fei. Stanley admitted," Actually this is the cooling down period, it is no good to pull another person down. Before I filmed China SF, I alreday had lunch with him (Andy), lately I met him again in music awards, we talked abt possibility of cooperating, but not on Yue Fei."
On the movie Yue Fei, Stanley said he has not thought of the script yet, it is too early to say who will take lead role, it is not fair to whoever acts in the role later on. He does not dismiss possibility of tailoring some scripts for Andy & Wang Li-hom to enter international market. The cooperation with Andy is not just on Yue Fei.

Stabley Tang has turned tables with Aaron Kwok & Aaron's manager Xiao Mei after filming China SF, he has decided against using Aaron as lead role in Yue Fei, a big production costing HK$3.2 billion. He added if Xiao Mei continues to be Aaron's manager, he will not cooperate with Aaron at all in future.

Andy is always on the look out for good movies. Long ago he had contacted Tang's co personnels for work cooperation, but as both parties are busy, they do not have a chance to discuss it face to face. When the plan to use Aaron falls out, Andy actively contacted Stanley & indicated his interest, Stanley was unduly happy.

One of Stanley's co executive director admitted lead role for Yue Fei is still under negotiation, he refused to name the person, but said he is one HK actor who is more famous than Aaron internationally, v interested in the role, they will have lunch together when Stanley is back. Looks as if Andy has struck while hot, this may even pave the way for him to enter Hollywood.

Stanley refused to talk on Yue Fei's role, "I have discussed with Andy on cooperation, but we dont have enough time to talk slowly, when the plan is more conclusive we shall anoounce. Actually I have always admire Andy, he acted v well in AFB, so man!"

Wanner & EMI had plans to merge last year, but was stopped by 'European Org' (??) as after merging the co will become the largest in the World & will monopolise the market.
But lately news has it that BMG is merging with EMI, & wants to become the largest music co in the globe, heads from both sides are presently discussing on the finer details in London. In order to get consent from European Org, they sent out representatives to talk to the Org.
If the plan is successful, in HK, Andy & Faye will be under the same co, & they can sing duet anytime. The reporter contacted EMI person i/c, he said he had heard abt it earlier, but they will not comment for as long as there is no news form the co.

At present digital age, nothing can never be replaced, big brother today may become small brother next! The Sun Web HK had an online poll lately on who will be No.1 if BMG & Sony were merged as one.
Andy who is 5 years older than Leon is faced with 'forced retreat' crisis these few years, in Mainland China he was asked by the media why he is not retiring, some netizens commented he belongs to the past. But Andy not only is not admitting old, he diligently keeps fit to maintain the look, winning 'Ironman King' title.
No matter how hard Andy tried, poll result shows that Andy lost by 7 % to be the No.1. Online fans feel that if BMG & Sony were to to merge this year, Leon has better qualifications than Andy to be No.1.
They also said Sony will be the main force if the 2 merged. With Andy's character, he would definitely not stay in BMG, so Leon will still be No.1

Andy's court case with Heng Sen Bank over copyright of his picture had resulted in his loss of few millions dollars without a verdict. Andy's 100th movie, AFB, is top at HK boxoffice during X'mas holidays. The movie's content & quality have received positive reviews from the media, touted as a very touching movie which is rarely seen these years. The movie is for release in TW on the 10th. Andy is coming this Thursday for 3-day of movie promo. He will even teach fans boxing at the ring!

AFB was filmed in Thailand, HK & Japan, the movie was a tear-jerker when released in HK, many personnels in movie circle has given thumbs-up, esp to Andy's acting, which shows marked changes & is pleasingly refreshing.

Andy is anxious with the upcoming movie release in TW, his assistants are in close contacts with the TW co to make sure the promo is a success.

Andy will hold press con, movie premiere, & fans gathering on these 3 days. He will teach fans boxing, 2 rings will be set up. There will also be jeep patrol on the road. The movie will hit the screen on the 15th of CNY.

After Needing You, this is yet another movie that Andy makes people look at him with new respect.

Headline: Yu Ke Xin to publish autobiography & expose her previous love affair with Andy Lau

13 to 14 years ago, Yu Ke Xin met Andy Lau during filming in TW, love developed between them. But 2 to 3 years later, this affair ended without any apparent reason. Yu Ke Xin subsequently changed & even switched to exposing herself to film pictorial book.
Hitherto, Yu ke Xin is the only female Andy admitted to having wooed before.

Accodingly to Mainland newspapers, Andy will soon be able to enter Sichuan Opera School officially, 'change-face' guru Peng Deng Huai had secretly met Andy on the 30th of last month & Andy had handed his personally penned application letter to the school to Peng.

Peng's son had disclosed his father will meet Andy later to discuss entry procedures, most probably Andy will be able to enrol within this month.

The personnel in charge of School disclosed that their troupe will come to HK for a performance on the 15th of CNY, but Peng is not included, he flatly refused to talk on Andy's application.

Andy who is sincere in learning National art 'change-face' can have his dream materialise this month!

At the end of last year he had personally penned an application letter to apply entry to the Sichuan Opera School thro' his teacher Peng Teng Huai. Andy's application has caught much attention. Few months later now, Peng's son has indicated that his father will be meeting Andy on the 9th or 10th this month, to discuss entry to school. If there is no hiccups, Andy may be able to be accepted officially this month!

Peng is in S'pore for perormance [...sure??...], he will meet Andy on his way home. There is a possibility that they may even film a movie. The reporter contacted Andy's assistant, the reply given was," We too are waiting for result, at the present moment everything is unsure!"

Andy has not forgotten to do charity even during his holidays!

He has taken leave during this festive season, but he did not go overseas, he was at home with his family & friends. He learned abt the severe snow storm in Mongolia from the newspapers. The storm had claimed 26 lives & another storm is upcoming. The snow is as thick as a man & many livestock such as cows & sheep have turned to ice.

Andy intended to contact Superwarm & charity organisation on the 3rd day of CNY, but these places were all closed for festive season. Andy managed to contact Superwarm, the product he endorses, on the 7th day of CNY, he donated 2,000 Superwarm thermals (valued abt $400,000 ) to be sent to Mongolia.

He had gone to Salvation Army HQ personally & helped out in the packing of the warm thermals. The thermals were sent to the diaster site on the same night. Hopefully it arrives before the 2nd storm hits inner Mongolia!

Asked if he will go to diaster site or donate cash? Andy said big scale drive may hamper work sometimes, he may not be of help with his physical presence, he will see later if cash is needed.

Andy has pleaded help from the public. Superwarm co will donate one thermal for every thermal purchased from its outlets.

On the 8th Feb, Andy will oficially start work. He will go to TW for the promo of the movie AFB. Takako T will not be joining him as her manager stresses more on filming.

Min Shen Pao dated 2 Feb

On Valentine Day Andy & Jacky Cheung will be in TW for a gig by Min Shen Pao & Kiss Radio.
It is Min Shen Pao 23rd anniversary & Kiss Radio 6th Anniversary. Jacky Cheung will be the performer at curtain closing with 1/2 hr of singing. Andy & Jacky are good pals, Andy does not mind the order of his appearence for the gig. He will be in the cake cutting ceremony...

1/2---Though still in the holidays, attended a v meaningful activity today.
From the newspapers, learned that Inner Mongolia in China has severe snow storm, the temp is below 30 degree, very......cold!
Estimated will be May before the warmth comes back, the victims are waiting help from us.
Today represented a company, donated a batch of warm thermals to the Salvation Army, the co agrees that if you buy one of its thermal at its outlet, one thermal will be sent to inner Mongolia. I hope everyone can support this activity, of course if you have other items you can donate, or cash, can contact Salvation Army office. Thank You!
