31/1---After 'Ren Ri', the office staff are all absorbed in work. I who is still on holidays, have to go back for meetings. The meetings are mainly on preparation of the new movie. The staff members have many different ideas & suggestions. Whenever it is exciting, all will burst out laughing, believe this movie will bring you some happiness.
Now I am preparing to attend a 'spring tea-party', not sure if I can win in the lucky draw? I will tell you tomorow in the diary!

30/1---Happy B'day!
Today is the starting work for my office. Went to office early in the morning, other than giving out hongbaos, also busy receiving hongbaos.
As it is 'Ren Ri' (Human Day) today, it is the b'day of everybody, so invited office staff to a meal, celebrate bday together!
Workers are all full of energy & radiant, office is full of life & energy!

29/1---In a blink it is already 6th day of CNY, still continue with my hoildays.
I believe many friends have already started work, wish everyone Good Luck in start of work, those who are working will get a pay rise, those who are boss of course business more prosperous. I will definitely film more good movies, & sing more good songs for all!

28/1---5th day of CNY

27.1---4th day of CNY, get up v early, had lunch with family, nothing special, went by car with parents to 'go for luck', so to auntie's house visiting.
As it was raining, the weather was v cold, auntie stays in the New Territory, though I wore v thick jacket, still shiverred, really v cold!
So we hid in the house & play majong. Other than receiving their red packets, won some cash! Won back all the money I gave in the red packets, haha.....haha.......quite a good luck!

26/1---3rd day of CNY, haven’t thought of a place to go touring, how?.!?
The weather turned cold today, I felt cold even at home, everyone wears more clothes ya??
Under such a cold weather, plus the strong wind outside our house, it was even colder! But I still found a gp of fans waiting outside my house, in order not to encourage such act, also it was the 3rd day of CNY, I don't wish to have any unhappiness with the fans, so I decided not to go out to meet them. Hope they can go home earlier, don't let me worried!
As for me?.? Of course continue with my long holidays?....!

25/1---Thought during this NY period, wanted to have a real good rest! But still have some reservations, finally cannot resist the temptations of computer, went to the message board, saw many good wishes for me & message, thank you v much!
Actually v happy, can communicate with everyone anytime at andylau.com, it brings our distance nearer.

Headline: Andy said his prayer in Lin Villege Wishing Tree' , impersonated as hawker to sell incense papers

During CNY period together with his staff Andy went to Da Pou Lin Villege 'Wishing Tree' to make New Year wishes. It attracted many onlookers, the hawkers around the area all moved forward to look at Andy. The most surprising thing being there was a nanny who clingged on to Andy & kept asking, "You're King Lau? My son knows you! This year you're v powerful, wish you success every year!" It was found later that this nanny is Pang Yuan Liang's mom, Andy was too happy to meet her & had a photo taken with her.

As Andy was listening to the old lady on how to say his prayer, a group of police from the environment dept came to nab illegal hawkers. Andy felt it was festive season & did not wish to create unhappiness, he told the police that he was actually filming a movie, & not to bother them as it is festive time. Actually this gp of police was too happy to see Andy , they eagerly asked him for autograph instead.

When the police had left, Andy was playful, he sat at the old lady's stall & became a hawker, when the people saw Andy selling incense papers, they were all v happy, saying this year their luck will be good, even without making a wish!

Andy wrote 'Ever Happiness, Prosperous Business, Good Health' on the wishing paper, but the nanny was even more cautious, she told him to addd 'sing more good songs & film more good movies'.
[..hang on...more to add...get a wife &..have little bundles of joy?...]
After several tries, Andy managed to get the paper onto the tree, he said so hard to get it, it means he really has to work harder & not be laxed.

Before he left, Andy went to the car & prepared many red packets to give to the hawkers & wish them good health, the old ladies were v touched.

22/1---Went to Da Pou 'Wishing Tree' to take some New Year photos & film New Year greetings video.
As it was v early in the morning, not many people were around, Together with the few staff, we made a wish, wish that this year:
HK market good, all business prosper, & everyone is healthy!
As it is the tradition to throw fruits onto the tree, I threw once & it was okay, but some staff threw 2 to 3 times before okay. Anyway, hope everybody's wish can come true.

Andy had a reunion meal with 15 small children at a hilltop restaurant yesterday. The children were selected from X'mas Wish entries in a contest held by Metro Radio sometime ago for a drama serial 'Long time ago there was a Santa Claus..'. Andy was the lead of the radio drama.

Andy played games with them before the meal. The children each prepared a gift for Andy & presented programmes for him to see. One girl displayed awesome gymnastics, Andy was v impressed. They recited poetry in English, play violin, etc. Andy clapped with admiration!

One girl cried when it was time to part with Andy.

In the afternoon, Andy went to Metro radio station. The stn is launching a 24 hours entertainment prg starting yesterday. Andy as requested wore a cheongsum. But this cheongsum resembled that one wore by Eason Chan in music awards. Andy said, "No choice, no other piece to wear!" he said actually the suit was bought sometime ago when he sang Silly Child, Small Black has one too. He had wore it before at Channel V awards, people might have forgotten.
[...no, not the fans!]

Andy said he spent his time tidying up his apt these few days. He stashed away some old staff that he wont bear to part, packing up to a few boxes! He made space to dispaly the new awards he had received .

Andy's father bought cherry blossum for him, together with the many pots of mandarin oranges, flowers given by friends & associates, his house is like a garden, it is v beautiful!

21/1---Nearing new year eve, has a day off today, stay at home, to decorate the place, add some touch of new year. Every year my father will buy the new year blooms for me, this is the 2nd year he bought 'maotan' for display, this year blooms even more than last year, so 'leng'! Must be meaning that this year I will do better than previous years!

The usual colors for Andy's attire are mainly black, white or dark colors. This time he chnaged to wearing a red 3-piece suit, the effect is v fresh & cool. In addition, Andy cleverly used a white shirt to compliment it. This takes away the problem with reddness which is a color hard to carry, & takes away the 'girly feel'. The feeling is v refreshing, it makes the look younger too.

Result of 4th Da Chen Campus Idol Chart from 1st to the 18th week was released. From Week 1 to week 17, Andy Lau & Ah Mei were the champions. On the 18th Week, Richie Ren & Ah Mei were champs. But the final result of the 18 weeks shows Andy Lau & Ah Mei are the final champions.
This result shows prowess & popularity of the duo in TW.

It is a Chinese tradition to do spring cleaning before 28th Dec on Lunar calendar. Yesterday Andy cleaned up his office personally.

He sang as he cleaned, 'I mop, I mop, I mop, mop mop!', entertaining himself as he worked. The first thing he did was to clean up his personal Apple computer, the 22" LCD screen costs more than $30,000. He has collected some new year graphics from friends, & plans to print them out later for display in his office, giving it a cyber-feel in welcoming the new year!

He laughed that he wont act high just because he is a boss, be it at home or in the office, he will help in spring cleaning. But at home there is Filipino maid to help, not here in the office, so he had to do it personally. Now he is not 'Wah Siu', but 'Wah-jie', doing all the work done by Ah-shi, including vacuuming, moving things & others.

The office phone rang while Andy was wiping it. He picked up the phone & answered, "Wei, looking for Boss Lau? He is not free, he is now Ah-shi doing spring cleaning, can you call back later, see if he has finished? Talk to you later!" The caller who was a staff was at a loss with Boss Lau's reply, asked him why he was doing the cleaning. Andy had a good laugh, "Do you think boss dont have to work? Haha.." he put off the call.

Andy's office is well equipped, there is the latest computer for him to access the net, there is TV, VCR, even a mini cinema. He is able to get info 24 hrs a day. He laments that he has little time to make full use of the facillities, in the office, it is always meetings after meetings, he used mini-cinema once only to watch the pre-cut of AFB.

As boss, he has to give red-packets. Andy said he wont tell the staff how much, but it will be a lucky draw, some bigger than others, this is more interesting!

20/1---Today nothing special on work or things happening, but the mood is v good, maybe because Lunar New Year is coming soon, so happy as lark!
Dont know why, today keep thinking of going to buy some red clothes, to prepare for the new year, red white & blue are colors in fashion this year.
Really trouble! Really worried after wearing these 3 colors, it will look the 'red-white-blue' bag use for going to country side to visit relatives ...
