At 2pm yesterday at Beijing's Kai Lai Hotel conference room, Andy officially acknowledges Peng Teng Huai as master to learn the art of 'change-face'. The occasion attracted close to hundred reporters from Mainland & HK.
The ceremony was simple & yet grand. Master Peng wore a grey suit, Andy donned his grey cheongsum, both were solemn looking. Andy followed the traditional obeisance proedure, he kneeled & served tea to his master. After the master had drank the tea, he gave Andy 2 pictures, one was a pic of both of them, the other was Andy with palms together, both were drawn with pic of dragons, signifying both are descendants of the dragon.
Andy in turn presented a solid gold dragon & wrote a calligraphy 'Art Overides Universe' to his master.
During the ceremony, all the reporters rushed forward to take photos, pushing the barricades down, though the situation became chaotic, Andy remained solemn. The workes had to form a human wall to encircle them.
After the ceremony, one reporter asked Andy if he has gone by the back door to be accepted by the master?
Andy replied, "What go by back door? I had seen the master's performances, shook hand with him, this time I use my sincerity to move the master, to accept me as disciple, you (the reporters) have v good imagination!"
One reporter asked, "How do you view TW's political situation?"
"I dont know how to answer this question!"
"As a CHinese, do you wish TW to revert to China?"
Andy, appeared shocked, paused a while & answered, "Of course, I hope so!"
Later Andy said he is actually an artiste, he is not familiar with politics, & will talk less on this topic.

Headline: Andy new romance rumour busted, lady of choice Zhu Liqian appered on street
As rumoured has it that Andy has a gf Amy Tang, his real lady of choice Zhu Liqian was spotted yesterday at Jian Dong Street. Looks like Andy & Zhu's relationship remains unchanged.
Accodringly, Miss Zhu is in HK most of the time as she has a business here, the office is at Jian Dong, she always meets up with Andy. But they are v good at keeping it a secret, & have never been spotted by the media.
The reporter has found out that it was only a mischievous act of someone who wrote the mail on Amy Tang.

20 Mar----Today film an ad, green tea ad, the location is at Mi Po. Had been there long ago, to play mini racing car, ever since it was developed into a nature reserve area, have never been there.
On reaching Mi Po, can see the scenery is very nice! The sun is not hot today, best suited to take photos, the instant photos show the colour is v soothing, today is really suited for filming ad, I think after developing, the photos will look v nice.
But if you see I have bite marks, dont blame me, because a lot of mosquitos there. Andy

19 Mar----Usually no chace to get the award, don't feel nervous, now there is a chance, my heart goes 'pong-pong' non-stop. Wake up early morning, no mood to read the newspaper, no mood to take breakfast, luckily afternoon got a meeting, otherwise the whole day will be so uneasy, not sure how the result will be tonite???!
18 Mar----Wake up v early in the morning, realise the importance of time, today got to go Shanghai, back by tonite, chasing from place to place!! Go Shanghai to cut ribbon for Superwarm & to attend contract signing ceremony. Saw many fans shoving each other, so dangerous!! Hope the security can be better in future, if I see the same thing again, I will be real scare~~!! Luckily today no accident happens, Thanks!!!Thanks!!! Andy

Golden Sun Movie Awards held its awards presentation at HK Convention Center yesterday. Andy Lau nabbed the Best Actor award. (CONGRATULATIONS!!!) But he was not there to receive it, he has gone to Beijing to acknowledge a master today. This Sichuan master Mr. Peng is the guru of Chinese art 'changing face'.
Andy is v happy, he said, "I want to thank Johnny To, Lau Ching-wan, Anthony Wong & all crew members. I will continue to work hard! Not being able to receive the award, I have some regeret, but my master is too busy, he gives me only 2 days." He wishes to thank fans who voted for him over the net too.
Asked if he will attend HK Film awards?
Andy said he has to start filming a new movie for China Star, if Johnny To releases him he will go.
Wu Bai will have a concert on the 7th of April, Andy said he will leave his work aside to attend. It was said Wu Bai has invited Andy as guest, Andy said he would like to have a duet with him too, but Wu Bai may have to lower his pitch to suit his....

[cont]......Peng has everything prepared for Andy even before he is officially accepted as disciple. On 1 Dec '99, while Andy was filming The Duel in Beijing, Peng told the reporter Andy had called him & said he hoped to come to Sichuan in Jan '00. Andy keeps this in his mind all the time. When Peng was invited to go to M'sia in Jan, he even indicated that if Andy were to come to Sichuan, he would cancel his M'sia trip.
With the union, a clash of the two Titans,it will sure be a supurb workmanship, making their arts more spectacular....
On 16 Jan, a newspaper from Guangzhou commented that Andy obeisance with Peng was purely a commercial gimmick, trying to win attention & favour. When Andy heard abt this, he was v angry, actually according to their original plan, his visit to Chengdu was to be a secret, he wont inform any media from HK or Mainland. There would be no visitors, & he would not widely publisied the matter.
When he was wrongly accused as such, Andy decided to change the plan, during the official event, he welcomes media from all directions to surpervise & report. He wants his fans to know, he is v sincere to learn a traditional art. Rosumund Kwan may attend the function. At the event, Andy will serve tea, kneel down, bow, present gifts, to become the disciple.
On 7 mar, the venue was been fixed to be at Sichuan Peng's residence, Andy & Peng remained in close contact on the matter all this while. This reflects Andy's sincerity.

5th Movie Awards organised by the HK Movie Critics Association was held at the Science Aiditorium Tsim Sha Tsui last night. Though the organiser tried to get many people to attend , the attendance was poor, even the awards presenters walked in at their own pace, somewhat irrespectful to the occasion.
Andy who was outstation rushed back to attend & he appeared in a formal smart outfit.
Andy who was the hot fave for Best Actor award was seated right in front, when the result was about to be announced by Wu Jing-ju, all cameras were at him. Andy appeared steady, he maintained his smiles even when he lost. In a hurry he dropped the booklet & cameras kept clicking, Andy smiled & said, "Dont need lah!" There were 2 winners to this award, namely Anthony Wong, 5th time winner & Lau Ching-wan, first time winner. Wu derided Andy on stage," Wu Zheng-yu got it, Anthony many times, only Andy Lau never, might as well give this to him." At the photo taking, Andy appeared uneasy.
When he was surrounded by the reporters, there was silence at first, one reporter later asked, "Disappointed?" Andy replied, "OK lah! This year film movies again, all over again!" (Ther is still HK Film Awards?) "I mean this Zhi-jing Award." How do you feel abt the 2 Best Actors? " They are both v good actors, v outstanding. Maybe I'm too commercialised."
Any plan to film more movies to get the award next year?
Andy replied," No such plan, filming movies is not just to get awards, such as Oridinary Heroes. Most important is to see what role the director gives me, usually is comical or hero roles. I think 'Lun Huo' is v good, with little fund & time it can produce good result. I think Running OUt Of Time is good but because of me, I have an image which is too commercialised.".....

Without hestitation, Andy replied, "Sure, sure!! I'll wait for you in HK. Peng asked, "Where can I find you? Give me your card." Andy said," I've no card, I give you my address. The Gure gave Andy his card, on it Andy wrote his contact nos & signed, not forgetting to say, " I'm sure to wait till then, I'll sure wait for you!..."
On the 25th Oct while Peng was performing for Mr.Kissenger (??spelling??) in the States, he received a call from Andy assistant that Andy will wait for him at a cafe in Kowloon on the 28th.
28th Oct, without alerting anybody, Andy met Peng at the said venue. Peng gave Andy a calligraphy of Reclinging Dragon. Peng is impressed by Andy, Andy is v patriotic, his image is good, he is artistic, he is respected socially, he is a dragon of the East! They had a good & long conversation on the art.....( sorry, v 'cim' for katherine to translate...) Andy showed much interest, Peng said he will teach him from the beginning.
Andy is very excited & admired Peng a lot at the meeting. Peng asked why Andy is interested to learn the art, Andy said he wished to combine acting as the 4 Kings on stage. Peng said Andy's idea was not absurb, it can be amusing & it can become his unique style. Andy was moved & told Peng he is his 2nd master, his 1st master is Hong Xian-nie.
As said, heroes admire heroes, they chatted for 2 sold hours. Peng's opinion on Andy was he is upright,open-minded, humble, hardworking, & sincere, so he agreed to accept Andy as disciple, they arranged to have the obeisance in Sichuan in Jan 2000
On returning to Sichaun, the school agreed to announce to the media abt the event, the announcement was made by Peng over the press:

Rumoured to cohabit with gf named Amy, Andy: Wah! Which one first? (The Sun)
Andy flew to Shanghai yesterday to sign a contract for Super Warm advertisement. He will be back on the same day.
The reporter asked him abt the rumoured cohabitating gf Amy Tang. Andy appeared v puzzled & amused. He replied, "Wah! Got such a person? (You dont know Amy?) Wah! Which one first? I know many friends by the name Amy! But I do not cohabit with anybody, they are not girl-friends." Andy insisted he does not know who the girl is & asked them to show him a photo. He appeared helpless at the rumour.
Andy said he is satisfied at the figure for the ad, filming for the ad will begin in July/Aug. Andy said he will not appear wearing the underwear or parade with it. This is a big project & they have negotiated for a long time. Filming will most probably be overseas.
Though Andy arived at abt 7am at the airport, there were a lot of fans earlier than him, they gave him presents, Andy accepted all & waved good-bye to them.

15 mar----Today no filming, but a lot of meetings, thinking abt how to start shooting movies for the co. Had discussions with a lot of people, until now still not sure which one to staer first. Have a few projects, have 'Full Time Killer', 'Full Throttle', & one boxing movie, which one to start first??? Meetings until abt 11pm, watched the movie 'Lun Huo', this movie really worth watching. Two megastars, two different streams of art, two different styles of acting, but the two who have absolutely nothing to do with each other, because of one national treasure come together.....
One of the host in the story is Peng Teng Huai the lecturer of Sichuan school Of Arts, with his speciality in 'face changing'....(He is v famous, has won many local & international accolades since '93, including Japan, S'pore, Austria, Switzerland, United States, Brazil, Thailand....) He entered Guiness Book of Record in '98 with a record of 12 face-change in 25 seconds.
He has conquered hearts of many, among this is one with a sincere heart.
He is none other than HK Andy lau.
Andy had seen Mr. Peng's performance in many occasions, beside extremely amazed by the art, he spawned an idea of combining this traditional art with the modern music, singing the oldies with new verses, & new style. Usually in cross-talk, the person may be able to imitate the voive but not the face, if one is able to do both, it will be wonderful! This is a self-challenge & a new territy in art!....
Andy met Mr. Peng the 1st time in '98 in Beijing, amazed by his facial change performance but had no chance to talk to him due to time constraint.
In '99 Shanghai, both Peng & Andy were invited for an Autummn Festival. At the rehearsal Andy grabbed the opportunity, he pleaded Peng to teach him. Peng was hestitating, saying that their arts were worlds apart & not related at all, & Andy was going back to HK, how to learn from him? But Andy persisted with the promise from him.
Andy did not returned to HK after his performance but stayed back to watch Peng's performance. He sat right in front & cleared away any reporters who blocked his view....He waited for Peng at the dressing room, he was v enthusiastic, pleading Peng to teach him. Peng replied this art is not easy, every stroke is not learned within a day or two, & in Chinese tradition, the art is passed down from ancestor to the boys only, not the girls, passed to own clan & not outsiders. He will passed the art to his son or disciple only. Andy consented to be his disciple. But Peng insisted on a formal ceremony to accept him, Andy was too delighted with the acceptance & promised he will comply as long as he accepts him as disciple.....

Oriental Daily received an anonymous fax disclosing the 'fact' that Andy has a long-haired gf of 10 years named Amy Tang. Similarly this webmaster has also received an anonymous mail with Amy's latest hp nos. The reporter called the nos, true enough there was a lady admitting to be Amy Tang & consented to an exclusive interview. She wished to announce to the media thro' the net that she will not accept anymore media interview.
Amy told the reporter she was v shocked at the press reporter who called her the day before, she was not sure how he had her phone nos. She answered him out of courtesy, but the reported content differed vastly from what she had said.
Amy added that she is an oridinary person, she does not wish to be mistaken to ride on Andy's popularity, she does not know how to handle the media, she hopes the matter will not be over re-ported or exaggerated, this is time to call a stop, she does not wish to be involved further.

Went to a 'wild-life' food stall filming last night, never ever had I thought people can eat cat ??? The whole place was full of snakes, also had squirrals, looking from far can even see a peacock!!!! Surely not!!!!!!Such things also can be eaten???? As we were filmimg, the boss of the shop came near me & said,'"Weh weh...!!! Got a 'real stuff' to show you." I asked,"Is it, 'real stuff'???" He pulled me along to see, it was actually a donkey, ha~~~ never have thought in this world, anything with back facing the sky can be eaten. After filming, looked at the watch, still not 10pm yet, not sure if can go back to Hongkong side???? So I told the driver, faster go back to HK! 9:55pm, finally reached the custom, just in time! Ours was the last batch to leave. 10:00pm before the gate closed already back to HK, back to own bed to sleep. Tomorrow start work at 7am.

Out of the blue, Andy has an extra gf---Amy Tang? 2 days ago Oriental Daily received a fax from an anonymous, the content disclosed that Andy has a gf called Amy Tang, they have known each other for 10 over years, the girl moved in to stay with Andy, etc. her handphone nos was also given for the press to investigate.
The reporter contacted her yeaterday. She seemed to be in shock with the call, the following is the conversation:

Amy: (giggling, sounded 'lost') No, we are friends, not convenient to answer in details, dont know why.

13 Mar----V nervous!!!!V tense since waking up this am!! Never thought have to go to Shenzhen filming, a lot of people yeh!! On the car was uneasy, drove & rushed all the way to Shenzhen railway stn. Got down the car, started shooting, really a lot of people, but luckily the director & the crew were v quick-handed, before anyone could recognise me, job already done!!! Ha~~!! Really v happy!!!!
