12 Mar----Tonite had dinner with a person whom I never thought I will ever had dinner with. I think nobody will ever thought I will have dinner with this person, the programme for the dinner did not include discussion on work, at first I thought it will be v embarassing. When I reached there, seeing the person, we really talked till stop at nothing. Whatever happy or unhappy things, all were poured out, v comfortable, I think nobody can guess correctly whom I had dinner with.
Also I met a friend that I didn't see for many years, I want to have long-lasting friendship with them!
I think many want to know who was the person I had dinner with? I had dinner with Ye Zheng. I also met Wu Jing Jo, I miss seeing her! Andy

Headline: Andy 'start work' must eat favourite chicken wing
Since launching of Andy's private website, within a short period of 3 days, nos of visitors hit as high as 100,000.
Not only is Andy happy, his appetite has increased too. Lately he has started filming Johnny To's Man & Woman. On the first day of work, he brought along a box of chicken wings as snack, he even used the cartoon plastic container to hold the chilli, seriously eating & enjoying his food.
" I favour the middle part of chicken wing, this box of food is prepared by my family, the wings were seasoned with salt & oil(??), haven't started work alredy finished." Other than finished half a box of chicken wings (abt 8), Andy asked his helper to buy roast chicken liver & organs. After that he was seen cracking peanuts & reading script at the same time. Look like not only is Andy appetite for singingis good, his appetite for food is also extraordinary....

Headline: To 'net' Andy, easy said than done
One week after launching of his website, Andy had a 'one-to-one chat' on the net, as there were too many fans, there was bad traffic jam, many fans were unable to go online at all, so sad that many had sleepless night.
....This chat is different from the other artistes, who seek others' help to type out the words. Andy personally type out every word he said on the net, without the help of a typist. Though Andy has contact with the computer only in recent years, from the speed he types, it can be seen that he really put in effort to learn.
Many may say era of the 4 Kings are over, but from the extensive response Andy received on the chat, Andy Lau still reigns. When the news of him going online was out, fans from all around the world rashed in immediately, a pity the server cannot accomodate so many, the lucky ones had waited v long to be online with him, just look at their reactions on the net & the msg left on the board from those who failed to login, hoping that Andy can read....
Super Sunday had helped Tao-zi to find her idol Fei-siang, full-filling her dream, from here, many of Andy's fans hope they can be like Tao, fullfilling their dream of meeting Andy.
Though unlike Fei-siang who vanished for many years, TW fans can see Andy only a few times each year, if they can see Andy once is the happiest & most fortunate thing....

2 nights ago Andy had a live chat on the net for the first time in his andylau dot.com, 120,000 went online, leading to a severe traffic jam. 
It resulted in hang of the server, luckily emergency rescue work was able to restore it back to function.
The site draws an average of 200,000 visitors per day, members registration has hit 90,000. Andy said this is out of his expectation! He expected 50 to 60,000 initially.
The chat was co-hosted with his good friend Li Li-cher, who asked him questions in an intersting way.The reporters asked him before he entered the chart room, if he will talk on his love life. Andy said love life is kept as final, all he said on the net will be the truth, if he said too early everyone will lose interest, to know if he will disclose, everybody just take note of his web happenings.
Most of the netizens congratulated him beforehand for geting 'movie king' award. Andy laughed & replied, "Yes! Yes! I take myself as 'movie king'." One fan asked Andy if he has gf now? Andy smiled & rejected the question, "I said I wont answer!" He clapped & laughed heartily.
Andy said next time he may hold the chat in his home, he may even introduce live band show or unpluggged concert, for the fans to request songs. He is thinking of installing video in his office to vodeo his daily life.
He has thought of installing one outside his house to film the paparaazzi, but this idea is dropped as it infringes on privacy, videos installed inside the house, even to film outside view is not illegal.
In addition, Andy planned to show Formula One Grand Prix on the net in future. He hopes to attract not only those who like him, but also those who doesnt like him to visit the site.
Andy previously has suggested setting up of video-cam to nabbed would-be molesters on the net. This has not been approved by the authority. Andy realised there are lots of resistence, he will settle them slowly, & wont give up. He suggested civilian patrol for the moment. Each unit will need a fund of $200,000, Andy has donated $500,000. Accordingly, from 1st April onwards there will be a unit operating, Andy will continue to supprt the move.

2 nights ago, Andy & Sammi were filming Man & Woman (Lone Man Single Lady) at Kowloon harbour. Though they were filming in the car the whole night, they attracted abt 100 onlookers, within the half hour of filming in Takwawan. Many were Andy fans, they kept chasing him for photos.
There was an elderly man, with camera on hand, asked the reporter who the lady beside Andy was, when he heard it was Sammi, he kept taking photos & praised she is pretty.
They created quite a din, the workers had to quietened tham, as Andy & Sammi were concentrating on the script with Johnny.
During the rehearsal, Sammi was seen wiping the windscreen of the car, she knocked the head accidentally on the rear mirror. Andy broke out laughing, when he saw Sammi holding onto the forhead in pain. He gentlemanly protected the mirror so she wont knock again.
When Andy stepped out of the car, another man said, "Andy is v tall & handsome!"
After shooting, Andy returned to nanny's car to change his clothes, the fans gathered around the car. When the door opened for the assitant to return the costumes to the crew, Andy had not put on his clothes yet, 2 excited female fans screamed happily," I can see Andy exposed 2 dots!" Andy is used to it, he did not try to hide.
Tu was asked on HK Film awards, he said he will attend if he has time . He hopes Andy can get the award, if not, next year he still has a chance with this movie, he hopes Sammi can be nominated next year too....

Organised by Apple Daily, preliminary round of net voting on the 10 Best HK, 10 Best Overseas movies & 5 Worst HK movies has completed. Running Out Of Time netted the most votes of 2213, seconded by Fly Me To Polaris (1790 votes). The worst HK movie is A Man Called Hero. Final round of selection starts today till 28 Mar.

Many in the showbizz has high hope on Andy to get the award. But this world is v strange, it is always the hottest that topples the stove.
The author feels that Andy should get the award, for the following reasons:
1)Out of the 5 nominees, only Andy has not gotten the award, with his sincerity in movies, some encouragement should be given to him
2)In this movie, Andy has really shown improvment in his acting skill, under the guidance of Johnny, he has transformed himself.
3)Of the 5 nominees, Anthony Wong is the strongest opponent, but he has received the award 2 times before, though he is good, if he gets it again, the situation will be boring.
4)Out of the 5 movies, Running has the highest box-office collection, obviously more people has watched this movie...

19th Annual Hk Films awards gave out certificates to the nominees at Star East today, but it was quiter than before, in the 16 categories, 70% of nominees did not turn up. In the important categories, such as Best Actor, Actress & Director, only eric Tseng, Li Lee-chen, Gigi & Yau Yeh-min attended. Andy Lau, Lau Ching Wan, Wu Zheng-yi, Cecilia, Deannie & Richie Ren & all the nominated directors were absent. The chairman said Johnny had explained that he has shooting to do so he could not come....

4 Mar---V exhausted, filming till morning. Not sure if you log on to the net????? Evryone has a handcam, to video daily activities for the net. V fast I was sound asleep on returning home, already 12 noon when wake up. Has a meeting right after, followed by songs recording, tonight shooting again. Though work timetable is fully packed for the whole day, but I feel v fullfilling.
3 Mar---Pageview has exceeded 260,000 hits, first day registration also exceeded 15,000, seeing that the site has good response, I'm relieved! But today must go shooting again, thro'out the nite! Dont know how to take care of skin.....Hope I can get home early to log on to the net.
2 Mar---....couldn't sleep the whole night, very worried, not

6th HK Movie Critics Association gave out Best Actor & Best Actress awards yesterday at the Art Centre, it assumes the usual low-key style. Wu Zheng-ye was conferred the title Best Actor & Lor Lan Best Actress. The ceremony was simple with only the two winners attended. Wu who got the award for the 2nd time form the association but not HK Film Awards, said on the stage, "I already got mine, all yours, Andy!"....

....Andy was said to be saying he will be on the same boat as Tu. To this he clarified that actually he meant if he is not working on that day he will attend HK Films Awards, it depends on Tu. Andy said he has no intense feeling this time on the nomination. After filming Lone Man Single Lady & Blue-Blooded Man, he will have 20 to 25 concert tours in Mainland & Europe. He has thought of putting these concerts live on the net, but due to technical problems, it maynot be possible. He plans to put up a movie from Teamwork once a month on the net for the fans to watch.

2 nights ago Andy was shooting the movie Lone Man Single Lady in the busy street of Tsim Sha Cui. As both Andy & Sammi were present, a lot of onlookers gathered to watch, human wall was few layers thick!
Andy, hot fave fot this year Best Actor award, is in the best of moods, whoever asked for autograph was all granted, & he chatted actively with others.
His fans were busy taking his photos, among them was a caucasian fan, she kept yelling Andy's name, this shows Andy is really v popular!
In this movie, Andy has many woman admirers, other than Sammi, who is his lover secretary, he has an ex-gf, & an ex-wife. A newcomer acted as a secret admirer for Sammi, so it is a 5-angled love entanglement.
Asked Andy if he thinks he is lucky to have so many women? Come the quick reply, "No! I'm v healthy! It is only in the script! This is originally a radio drama, Johnny Tu likes the script so he bought it!"
When the reporters congratulate him that he may be the Best Actor, he was all smiles, "Serious?! Not sure yet, dont say first!" Asked if he will attend, he laughed, "See the director first! If he allows, I'll go! We're a group of people!"

After whole nite of shooting day before, Johnny Tu attended Golden Zi-jing movie awards activity yesterday. Tu has many nominations as Best Director, he is v humble still. He said he does not shoot movies just to win awards. He was nominated because the others were not making films last year.
Tu has not attended HK Film Awards for years, he was asked on the reason. Tu gave a serious reply, "Not that I dont change (to attend), if they change I will attend!" He said there is unfairness in the rules & regulations on judgement, it is like a small circle affair. Andy has said he will be on the same boat as Tu. On this, Tu said, "Cannot be! This is not the problem!"....

Derek Ye was spotted having dinner with Wang Jie & a heart-to-heart talk, is he trying to get Wang to film in Full? Derek denied & said they were just chatting. He said filming of this movie will be after Andy has ended his concert tour in the Mainland, so filming can only start next year. In this sequel, Andy will have a change of role, he will play a villain with 'flesh & blood'. Derek has spoken to Andy, Andy has no objection to act the negative role. Headline: Complaint on Andy's website for infringing on privacy
Just a day after launching of the website, Oriental Daily has already received a phone complaint.
A man, Mr.Loh called up yesterday & complained that to register as mamber, he has to give e-mail addresses of 5 persons, otherwise he cannot register. Mr.Loh feels that this is infringing on privacy.
The reporter contacted person i/c of andylau dot.com, he said he did not receive any complaint, but after hearing from Oriental Daily, he had withdrawn the requirement, he added that whoever has suggestions, can leave a msg at the site or called the co.
He said asking for 5 e-mails is not infringing on privacy, all the info on member will be kept as private, they will only give a short introduction msg to the addresses as advertisement, the recipient can opt not to receive it, if the concerned did not inform his friends then the fault is not with the webmaster.
The author had registered yesterday, the request for 5 e-mails has become optional.

Andy Lau becomes the first artiste in HK to own his dot.com portal! Officially launched yesterday, it attracted more than 200,000 visitors in just the morning! It is terrific! Andy is happy & surprised with such an overwhelming response.
Last night Andy held a fans gathering, other than meeting fans, Andy introduced the contents of his dot.com, & explained to fans how they can be a member of this big family.
To attract more members, cash amounting to million dollars will be given out to members. As soon as one registered as member, he stands a chance to win cash. In one of the game, one has to list out a $100,000 shopping list, Andy will choose 10 winners & he will make the purchase in full & deliver them to the winners. In another game, fans will use 400 words to describe creative ideas, Andy will choose 5 winners who will get his own private collections or to view his personal 'treasures'.Those who register before 30th of March, everyday the 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th....(the first 1,000) will win cash voucher of$500, for 30 days, a total of HK$300,000 will be given out.
In this dot.com, Andy displays his own album, his video clips during his work & his private diary. In the diary Andy recorded his schedule from 1st of Feb to 10th of March, mainly filming of movie, on the 25th he has BBQ. But a lot are 'coming soon', so the contents is less than expected, this disappoints some fans.
In it, there was a clippet on Andy talking abt the site, the aim, contents, & stresss that this is not an entertainment site but a daily life-style. Andy said as not all net-surfers are his fan, so he has to use money to make them register as members, so as to stand a chance to win $1.38 million worth of products.
In future, there will be videos of a whole movie, & his songs, but the fans will have to wait at the moment. Asked why has to wait? 19th HK Film Awards announced its nominations yeaterday. A total of 17 movies were nominated, to contest for 16 big awards. Oridinary Heroes, Fly Me To Polaris & Purple Rain have the most nos of 8 nominations each. Running Out Of Time has 6 nominations.
Awards ceremony will be held on the 16th Of April at the Coliseum. Whether nominated for the first time or have gotten awards before, everyone is happy, as HK Film Awards is the most representative of HK movies.
Andy Lau who had been nominated before but has never won any movie award, is nominated for Best Actor award in this 19th HK Film Awards. The competition for Best Actor is very intense this time compared to previous years. Andy Lau, Lau Ching Wan, Anthony Wong, Wu Zheng-ye & Eric Tseng are the 5 nominees.
Andy is leading in net voting for the HK Golden Zi-jing movie awards by HK Movie Critics, it looks like he stands a good chance this time.
Eric Tseng commented," V surprised I'm nominated. But I put the bet on Andy, he acted v well in Running, hope he can win! Andy has worked hard for many years, it's time he wins!...Year 2000 is special good day, I'll attend..."

Andy replied he doesn't know how to answer, but he wont be too disappointed if he cannot win. He joked that he will be happy whoever wins, as he can ask him to film for Teamwork!
