31/5---Andy concert in Hangzhou today finally has the blessing of sky-god, the weather was exceptionally sunny. Andy took the opportunity to rehearse in the afternoon. During the rehearsal, many enthuiastic fans were already there with posters & placards to watch the rehearsal. One fan was so absord that she unknowingly knocked into the barricade, & became dizzy!
Under such a good weather, Andy practised with full force, but the weather was just too hot, after some singing & dancing, he was drenched with sweat, so during the rehearsal, towel never left his hand, finally he tucked the whole towel behind his back to absord the sweat!
A few hours before the concert start, the police had blocked the roads around the stadium, only police & public transport were allowed in. Heavenly King appeal is just extra-ordinary! At the same time large crowd had gathered waiting to enter the stadium. Some were trying to sell tickets at black market price, many were attracted, the scene was knid of busy.
At concert time, to avoid traffic becoming chaotic, Andy took a police patrol car & headed straight to the entrance made way of by a shop these few days, the car was driven right into the stadium. the fans entered thro' the other gate!
The concert went on smoothly, Andy became more & more zealous as the concert progressed, dissipating his playful self, he ran v fast across the high bridge frequently, he rushed to & fro on the stage. The workers ,on seeing this, had their hearts thumping fast, worrying with cold perspiration! The audience without knowing of course became more frenzy. Later Andy even jumped onto the big speaker, dancing & singing, it was even more dangerous! Andy was elated too, he asked the workers to give him a hand-cam for him to video the audience frenzy response. These video clips will be shown here of course, later!
At encore time, Andy changed to a new all white suit, singing Shanghai Grand, aka Xu Wen-chiang, all the audience took no heed of the security, they all stood up & kept to their feet untill the end of the show. It was a spectacular & unforgettable scene!
After the concert, thought everything was over, not knowing more exciting things to follow! Hundreds over fans reached the hotel earlier, they screamed, "Andy, I love you!" "Andy, I will wait for you till dawn!" etc. Andy who returned by a secret passage to his room, wanted to go down & urged them to go home, but the police thought this would arouse them more, forbidded him form going down. The fans sat outside the hotel, kept singing & yelling for Andy, until 3am in the morning, they still refused to leave. Whether it is to Andy or to them, this must be a most unforgettable night!

1/6---Return to HK, in the office the whole afternoon, nothing to do, nothing to think about, wasted an afternoon. had dinner at home at night, luckily in time for home, as tomorrow is day for vegetarian food! Andy

31/5---Already 11+pm, only had time at night to write diary for today, the scream coming from downstairs was non-stop, wanted to go down very much to meet them, but was stopped by the security.
Today concert was v successful, though the audience was not allowed to sit at the audience gallery, so there were only 20,000 over audience, the atmosphere was unbelievably excellent!
While singing the last song, saw the producer afar at the control stage, she gave me an encouraging signal, so happy!
I promise to do my best at every one of my upcoming concert.

Andy was deeply apologetic (Ta Kung Pao) Andy had his concert in Hangzhou. Though the audience nos was reduced from 60,000 to half the amunt, due to the venue structure, the scene was equally spectacular.
As this is an old stadium, there is only one entrance/exit. The fans were smart to gather at the entrance, abt 5 to 6 hundreds of them. If Andy were to go in from here, it would be chaos. The organiser found out a nearby boutique which could lead to the stadium. They pulled down this shop & convert it into a passage way for Andy to enter & leave. Andy status is just extra-oridinary!
Because of this Andy is very apologetic, he kept remaining them to compensate the owner, & make good his shop after the concert.
Tickets to the concert were for sale at balck market price, from the original 320 to 900 yuan.
The fans were very high. Though they were seated on the field, the response was terrific, from the cue Andy gave, they stomped the ground in response, the ground stage was shaking like thunder. When the concert was finally over without accidents, the security personnels were all much relieved, wiping away cold sweat on their foreheads. After the show, many fans took guard outside the stadium & refused to leave. Some stationed at the hotel. There was a 70 year-old lady with flowers on hand, insited on giving it to Andy otherwise she wont leave. Finally the security passed the flowers to Andy, then only she left.

Jenny Tseng & Roman Tam have their concerts in Guangzhou these 2 days, Andy will have his on the 9th of June.
The venue for Andy's concert is an open-air stadium, whereas that for Jenny is an indoor stadium.
Flyers appeared on streets of Guangzhou, declaring 'In June, concerts in Indoor Stadium are not affected by the changing weather such as rain wind...the open-air stadium is hot, noisy, messy...'
There are only Jenny & Andy's concert in June, it is obvious that the target is on Andy's concert, leading to assumption that there are people who try to raise their own status by belittling others.
As their concert days were too close, this leads to rivallery in the market. Response to the senior singers is not as good as heavenly idol, so this had lead to a war in advertising, hoping to downgrade Andy & attract audience.
The reporter contacted the organiser of Jenny's concert, they openly admitted the flyers were given out by them, but by a group of workers who have done no wrong. They denied their tickets sale is stagnant."Our response is v good! those who come to our concert, even at the last row, can see the singer's face clearly! Our audience has social status, so even losing money we still stage it at Indoor stadium! We cannot be compared to them!"
The organiser for Andy's concer was angry too, "We each have own audience, there is no need to fight like that, thier action irk us!...Jenny ever had open-air concert before, aren't they slapping themselves?...Andy has 3 million sponsorship to start of with, even with 5 t0 60 % sale is enough!....".....

30/5---Andy's concert has always drawn much attention, but maybe because 'important person always invites rain when goes out', during his concert time, always have to worry abt the weather!
Today he arrived in Hangzhou. The airport was packed with people coming to receive him. They carried big placards, thier enthusiasm equals the hot sun in the sky. Andy, with casual denim look & dark broad-rimmed sunshades walked out casually, everyone could feel the beginning of a show.
When Andy arrived at the hotel, hoards of fans who had been waiting there immediately rushed forward, to prevent chaos & disturbing the other customers, Andy rapidly went up to his room. Some fans missed the chance of seeing Andy, became so anxious that they broke down crying. Maybe it is the influence of their warm tears, Hangzhou started raining at night. Can only say the same maxim 'VIP invites rain wherever he goes', just hope tomorrow at the concert the weather can be better with Andy's charisma!
P.S: The shop that cleared the way specially for King mentioned yesterday had turned into shop again! The owner knows Andy has arrived, & is v coperative to turn it into 'shop' again! Hope the weather can also give way like this shop!

30/5---Today set off from HK to Hangzhou, waited v long at the airport, because the plane was delayed!
On the plane, not sure why not sleepy, ate a very salty fish, & also unusually went without eating the bread.
On arrival, v bored, had dinner with the workers, the menu is as usual. But maybe because now in Hangzhou, it brought out the feeling of being artistic & peotic, suddenly someone asked how did Qu-yuan (a famous Chinese patriotic poet who committed suicide) die? Suddenly everybody was silence, then came a clear voice from a burly bodied ,"Lie Jiang'
This seemed to clear the doubt of all, thought got the answer, but suddenly a waiter told us, "Qu-yuan committed suicide by jumping into Mi Lor Jiang."
Later someone mentioned Su Tong Puo's (another famous Chinese poet) sister Su Xiao Xiao, the waiter again came near to us, 'the learned', said, "Su Dong Puo's sister is called Su Xiao Mei!" (Little sister Su)

Andy left for Hangzhou yesterday from HK for his concert in Hangzhou tonight. Many fans came to see him off. They gave him sweets as they thought he has gone thinner working in the Mainland. As they could hardly see him now, they wanted him to have more rest & take good care of himself. Andy who is now having his concert tour in China has mesmerised thousands & thousands of fans. Lately there was a report that a 35 year-old female fan in Shenyang named Yi Po was cheated by a trickster.
This trickester is a 31 year-old lady named Liu lan, she claimed that she knew Andy, & has the way for Yi to sleep with Andy a night in HK with 80,000 to 100,000. Liu showed Yi a doctored photo of herself with Andy. Yi believed her & parted with 20,000 to make arrangements to enter HK. After a few days, there was no news. Yi reported to the police, Liu was thus nabbed by police.
Wah! Andy worth millions in one commercial, a night costs only 100,000, isn't it too cheap?
Andy was asked if he knew abt the matter. Andy said he knew abt it in Qingdao, the poloce is v efficient & had caught the person.
The reporter told Andy that he is v cheap in Shenyang. Andy laughed heartily," Ya, so cheap, haha. I cannot be bought with money!" He added he had published this in his web to let all his fan know, so as not to listen to tricksters, nowadays a lot of things can be done with computers, the fans must be more alert, to support him, can use other methods, & dont be so silly.
Andy concert in Hangzhou was initially to be his first leg, but the building designated to hold the concert was classified as 'Danger building', so it was delayed till now. The venue is changed to an open-air stadium which can housed 60,000 people, but as all the buildings in Hangzhou are v old, including this stadium, the authority disallowed audience seats to be opened, because if 60,000 were to go frenzy, the stage may collapse. Andy said his concert can be maddening, so for fans' safty, he agrees to let them sit on the field, but this can only allowed 2 to 30,000 people in, Andy said he would not mind.

Andy concert in Hangzhou will be held on the 31 may. The venue is at zhijiang stadium. The speciality of this stadium is it is located in the city center, traffic is v convenient, the stage set-up has started, outside the stadium, a big billboard on the present concert has been erected, it is v striking! The organiser has arranged a convoy of cars for the entourage, this will be v memorable for Andy's fans!
Though work has started with stage set-up, because the King is not here yet, the atmosphere is v relaxed, the interesting thing is at one end the workers are busy with setting up of the stage, at the other end some were playing soccer, really some busy some happy, not sure if Andy can see their soccer skill tomorrow when he is here?
Other than this, do you know what has this shop got to do with Andy's concert? The answer is this shop opened right at one of the Stadium entrance. Since the set-up of the stage, evertime bulky equipments have to be moved in , this shop has since made way for the equipments to be transferred into the stadium! The shop is even willing to give way to stadium entrance on day of concert, for Andy to move in & out smoothly. This shows everybody dotes on Andy, but my suggestion is to keep the shop so it can be used as secret passage for Andy to move in & out!

29/5---Spent the day in the office today, nothing special.
Will have dinner with my parents tonight, not sure what special food my mother will cook for me? Tonght will know if it is a surprise or expected surprise!
Tomorrow going to Hangzhou to continue with the concert, don't know why, missing HK a lot....

28/5---Title: Customs-checking Andy's luggage on the net
Andy China Concert Tour entourage has landed on the 4th station---Hangzhou. Andy had left for HK temporarily but he will return soon.
He had brought a little luggage home, the main bulk of his luggage is still with the group.
This is a rare opportunity, we at andylau.com shall bravely pretend to be the customs on the net, give his luggage a through search, & expose its contents to all!
The most noticable item is a big rice-coker. There should be someone taking care of Andy's meals, why should he bring a rice-cooker?
The answer is to tackle these instant noodles. (...Go andylau.com for pics) Because at times the arranged meals may not suit Andy or too rush for meals, these instant noodles is most welcome!
The other item most loved by Andy is this canned sweet corn, usually he will put this in his instant noodle. (....wah, eat so simple food....salute!)
Some other items include these glucose drinks, of course for energy supplement in the concert!
There are some skim milk, peanut butter, biscuits & tibits to take when he is hungry.
Surprised? Dont think Heavenly King only eat abalone & sharkfin, from Andy's luggage, you can tell he is a person with simple demands, not a squandering King, hope everyone can follow his simple thrifty way of life!
Andy has to go back HK for meetings, though it was a sudden decision, still couldnot bluff the fans waiting at the hotel. Though they were not in time to go to the airport, they know how to hire a car to chase after Andy's car, thus a life-threatening car-chase on highway! Andy was v worried for their safty along the way, luckily there was no accidents. Andy left safly for HK!
During this time when Andy is in HK, we shall report on Qingdao concert:
1)In every Andy's performance, there is an opportunity for business, Qingdao is no different, other than the usual stuff of daily products, there are some v special items such as: very big binoculars to tacke the giant stadium, good-luck windmill, colourful flower lei, many items printed with Andy's face such as carrier bags!
2)Andy's performance is like fighting a war, this time it involved large troops of army police too, the special thing this time was some were on anti-riot gear, showing Andy's shaking presence!
3)Other than Andy's zealous performance in the rain, the fans were equally enthusiastic, there was a fan fainted at the first row because of screaming the whole night. When Andy saw this, he immediately asked his worker to gave chair & water to the fan!
4)Many think Andy's fans are mostly young girls, but other than these girls, Andy's fans come form all levels of society, including old persons & small children. They were all equally absorded!
5)The most interesing was at the afternoon rehearsal, when Andy was singing Only You In Heart, a mobile toilet reeking stench passed by, Andy broke out laughing, he joked if the song is Toilet-bowl then it will suit the scene!
Under the happy atmosphere, Andy completed his memorable concert
with his fans!

28/5---Had meetings the whole day. This time coming back to HK other than meetings, the main thing is to prepare for the new mandarin album, had just written a new lyric, title not fixed yet, if there is a chance, hope I can put it up on the net for you to see, to give me some suggestions.
Other thna this, the new movie was discussed qiute a lot, very soon will be able to tell you what movie is it, & co-act with whom.
Reached home at 11+pm, watch the movie Oridinary heroes, this is really an outstanding movie, hope gradually in future, can film movies of different genre! Andy
27/5---Today actually want to follow the group to Hangzhou, but suddenly had to return to HK for important meetings, flight for 5pm could only be confirmed after 4pm, the meeting is at 9pm, not sure if can be on time, some worry!
Had a meal on the plane, not bad!

Everybody knows that Andy is a v anxious person, esp to himself. Just like when he knew his new album date of release was pushed back, because the cover was not satisfactory, his one word 'change', BMG retrived all the albums & changed all the album covers.
The author heard workers at BMG said, "Not only is Andy anxious with himself by handling himself to BMG for album release, he is anxious with BMG co in all matters too, even with the internal meetings, he will get involve. But it is not difficult for BMG workers to listen to him, maybe because BMG has no more super singers, because Ekin Cheng has left, only Jordan left, so Andy Lau becomes the pillar in front & behind BMG, the workers in the co has to listen to him.

Though it was said Andy is dictative, but he is v popular in the Mainland.
