'Anti-Crime & Drug North Zone Musical' (literal translation) will be held on the 25th. The producer Xia Miao Ran revealed that Alan Tam & Andy Lau are both invited to be the honorary ambassadors. A ceremony will be held next Monday the 20th at the North Zone Police headquarters to confer them the titles.
Xia said many newcomers have been included in this musical.
Since Alan & Andy are both ambassadors, who is to lead the singers in the show? Xia said both of them always work fine together, they would not mind who is to lead, however the details are still being discussed. On the afternoon that day, the many singers will record the theme song for the occasion.

15/11---Work for the final stages of the new movie has been completed, now busy with album & the promo work. The new movie gives me a v 'true' feeling, in order to let everyone view it asap, contacted many media to negotiate, tonite there will be separate meetings with them, to discuss who to coopeage with. One meeting after another , makes one forget what the time is, if it is not because working too late already, & if there is 'dark rings' then wont be handsome guy any more, haha...so after chasing all the workers in the office home, I go home to sleep. As there were too many people, the short journey of few minutes turned to 1/2 an hour to the con room.
Andy gave words of encouragement to the youngsters at the interview. Regarding his chance of winning awards at Commercial Radio Stn with the resignation of its officials, Andy told the press not to anyhow speculate, the stn has its own way of giving out awards, it wont change the method. As usual, he wont be attending the stn award ceremony.
Andy said he has not been told abt the walkathon event with the Chinese Olympics medallist.
After the con, there were still many people & the situation was still chaotic, the police had to protect Andy all the way to his car. Andy was obviously in a v happy mood, he opened the roof of the nanay car & waved to the fans.

After receiving his award, Andy, together with Mr & Mrs Heung & 10 over fans, enjoyed a meal of the famous Hokkaido hairy crabs. After that they went to the arcade to celebrate.
Andy admitted he had not been to he arcade for 5 years. The last time he went was while filming Full Throttle. This time he would play to the full. Not unlike a big child, Andy played all games merrily. He was especially interested in the machine where the player can manoeuvre to catch a toy. As he had not played for a long time & many reporters were around, he could not get anything. But Andy with his 'never-give-up' spirit, after some 'battle' he managed to grab a small Donald Duck! Andy joked he will call it 'never Give Up Duck'.
The game that interest him most was sticker photo taking. Usually Andy has to appear prime & proper in photo taking, this time he has many of his photo taken with different funny faces. He had a real good time with the assistants in his 2 over hour there, spending Japanese Yen 138,000, the figure coincides with Chins Star Listing nos, it is just coincidental!

55th World's Outstanding Young Person Awards ceremony was held in Japan Sapparo yesterday. 10 persons were chosen from all over the world to receive the honour. Andy Lau, Linux computer genius, Linus Torvalds, scientist, sportsman & others were on the list.
Other than one Panama receipient, the others all know who Andy is, they even asked for his autograph!
The organiser arranged for them to have lunch together at Sapparo Park, the hotel where they stay. The ceremony was held at 5 pm at Kitara Concert Hall.
Dr.Yeh En Min, the Dr who proposed Andy to the award, Mr & Mrs Charles Heung, a gp of HK & Japanese fans were present at the ceremony.
Though the organiser requested the winner to come with formal Western suits, Andy insisted on wearing a black Chinese long gua that he had specially tailored for the occasion, to receive the award, to show his Chinese identity.
The script from the organiser reads that Andy was awarded due to his persistence in improving himself & his great achievements in the showbiz.
Andy was the last person to receive the awardt. With smooth English, Andy expressed his feelings, "Actually I am not sure what to say, I feel that I am not especially good, after listening to what the others had said, I finally thought of what I want to say, I am not especialy good, but I am a good example, I never give up, actually everyone has a chance to be an Outstanding Young Person, unless you give up. Learn from me, work hard & you can get it!"
As the atmosphere in the auditorium was solemn, the fans who were there supported Andy quietly by clapping hands. Some became teary. At the nd of Andy's speech, Andy added, "Many thnaks to those around me who always support me, & the fans, please give them an applause, I love you!" The auditorium broke out with thunderous applause!

At the ceremony yesterday, there were abt a thousand over audience, Andy received the warmest & most applause from the audience.

[Sin Pao] Andy fans behaved without creating any din at all in the Hall, they clapped at appropriate time, this is worthy of praise.

Commercial Radio stn higher level officials including Yu Chen had resigned. This will definitely affect singers' chance in winning awards on the 1st of Jan. Those who are used to be on good terms with Yu Chen such as Cass Pang, Ekin & Kelly are believed to have difficulties in getting good results. Others like Sammi, Andy Lau, Nic Tse & Aaron would stand a better chance...
Andy relationship with Commercial is always not so good, after Yu Chen's resignation, he should be able to get better results.

..Chinese sportsmen & women had won many Golds in Olympics. The athletic team inclusive of games, field events, gymnastics medallists, abt 20+ in all, will perform in HK at the end of the month.

8/11---First time to Sapparo, alreday heard so much that the beautiful scenery in this place, have a lot of nice food too. Alreday quite excited before I came. As expected, here be it the scenery or food, is really good!
Arriving at the airport, saw HK & Japanese fans with bannners to welcome me, actually they arrived one flight earlier than me, the scene then was bustling, I am really v happy. It was alreday v late on reaching the hotel, but couldnt wait to go out for a good Sapparo meal: la mian, hairy crab, also sushi crab , really v nice! (Dr's advice: crab sushi v high in Cholesterol, forbid to overeat.)[You're right, Andy...]
As the shop closes at 11 pm, the last transport is at 11:30pm, after that no more public transport to go back, so while eating the mian, we packed the other food & bring back to the hotel to continue eating. If any one come to Sapparo, remember to have an early dinner! Andy

2 days ago Andy set off to Japan, to receive the World's Outstanding Young Person Award at Sapparo.
He went to Tokyo first to meet the fans. There were thousand over of them, mostly females, Andy was encircled layer upon layer by them. The gathering were held in 2 places as there were too amny of them. Many dressed up in Kimonos. They held '3 Happiness' celebration for Andy. They cut cake, popped champagne & sang songs.
Andy received many gifts, including many teddy bears. Asked what he got the most, he said, "Champagne! As they know I got the award, some are going to Sapparo to celebrate with me!"
As Japanese fans always have little chance to see Andy, they tried to get as near to him as possible. One of them broke thro' layers of 'barriers', just to be head-to-head with Andy! Another one popped out her tongue & got near Andy's face, pretending to lick him! They tried all means, but they did not go beyond their limit to molest him!
Andy said he did not see the act, but thinks they were just making faces & had no other bad thoughts.

Yesterday Andy arrived at Sapparo, HK fans who arrived 1 day earlier, welcome him at the airport, with banners & striking orange club tees, it was quite a scene at the airport!

Editor of Cyber News: While it is difficult to be an artiste, to be one who is popular is ever more difficult. Andy who enjoys such good reputation & popularity, has to face fans from many different countries, & fans who may come with sudden shows of love, if he can avoid in time is good, otherwise 'sudden attack' may become salacious!

A day before Andy set off to Japan, he was doing editing & watching clippings of Ah Fu. He said, "many friends who had seen the movie preview all said the movie is good & touching, of course I am v happy, this feeling of satisfaction cannot be bought with money."
Before its release in X'mas, this movie has confirmed there will no capital loss. It has sold its copyright to many overseas countries, Japan alone is alreday exceeding tens of millions HK$ (8-digit), even better than Wong Kah Wei's In The Mood For Love.
Andy said overseas sale price is a trade secret, he is not aware of Wong's movie, even his own, in filming he thinks of its art value, but still have to see it is saleable, without money, he wont be able to work for progress of HK movies.

Not only Andy treasures Fu Min Xia, Andy who shares the same Chinese zodiac sign, Bull, with Takashi Sorimachi feels some what close to him. Andy is 12 years older than Takashi. Both started off with acting, Takashi first attempt of singing was in the theme song The Beach Boys, Andy first song Only Know Loving You Now, both recived flat reviews. Takashi likes to write lyrics, same as Andy, Takashi new release 'Free' was all written by him.
The two takes similarity in their lines of movies, they like to act roles with unrestrained character but are righteous.

Takashi has announced in Easter next year he will hold concerts in TW & HK. Andy's nmg co has won the right to stage the concert for him! Andy has won him over with his sincerity & popularity.
Half a year ago, Andy has started inviting Takashi to film the movie Full Time Killer with him. As Japanese artiste are v serious with filming, Takashi had asked for full copy of original story, he shows interest, the process of cooperation in the movie is still going on.

Parties involved in the copyright infringement to Full Time Killer is palnning an out of court settlement. With their settlement, Andy will become holder to its copyright.

Andy likes to seek cooperation of famous Japanese stars, movies such as Fascination Amour, Ah Fu & possibly this movie.It looks like Andy has shifted his attention outside HK, Japan is one of the market he is palnning to expand.

7/11---In order to finish watching the clippings of A Fighter's Blues, finally did till 5 am before I could leave, rushed home to take a shower, then rushed to check in at the airport, after a cup of milk, I fell fast asleep....(Andy Town: ..hush..hush..baby...)
On waking up, already in Japan. Wah! A big gp of Japanese fans already waiting at the airprt, very busy!
After changing, went o AWC for gathering: as the member were too many, the gathering was divided to 2 places, maybe because I seldom hold activity in Japan, they really pay much weight to each meeting. Other than many that came wearing Kiminos, some spent a few hours before hand to do a traditional hair-do.
Other than chit-chating, we cut cake, cutting cake cannot go without singing, but sing bday song is not appropriate, so how? Fiunally they sang a Japanese New Year greeting song for me. My assistant has filmed the whole gathering, can be shared with you all later. Andy
