Headline: Andy not contesting in TW Top 10 Idols award, had clinched the top award 6 years
TW Millennium Top 10 Idols Awards Ceremony will be held on the 4th of Nov in Taipei. Andy, holder of the record '6-in-a-row', is the champion for a consecutive 6 years, this year Andy has decided to give the award to another person, not contesting for the award!
Though Andy is not contesting, the organiser has specially made a trophy 'Top 10 Idols Special Award' for him. He will go to Taipei personally to receive it, after that he will go to Japan to receive World Outstanding Youth Award!
Andy has said, "For Top 10 Idols, I am the No.1 forever." Other than receiving the award, Andy will be the award presenter. Lin Xin Ju, who is a fan of Andy, is overjoyed & hopes to get an award from him.

Fu Min Xia, the Olympics Gold medalist from China, will be in HK today to have diving performances. Andy will watch the show tomorrow when he is back from Sydney.
Andy has expanded his New Medoly to a new co called nmg, he invested not only money but energy as well, he tries to recruit artistes to sign up with the co, he has plans to coax Fu to sign up too!
Fu, 22, an international star in diving, is a fan of Andy, she is well liked by many. Her collaboration with nmg will augment the image of nmg.
The reporter contacted personnel of nmg, who said that their relationship has always been good with Fu, but it is not known if Fu will collaborate with nmg, nmg has not even selected a date for its opening ceremony.
Fu's coach is not v supportive of Fu entering shobiz....Fu's entrance to showbiz will pose some stress to her present bf...

27/10---Today is an exciting & happy day, as there are 2 v important field events taking place, though everyone is full of confidence in getting the medals, but as the lanes allocated to the athletics are not v ideal, all the athletics, workers, including participants' parents & myself, are all worried for them, worried that they cannot get the best results! After my breakfast early morning, with much enthusiasm I enter the track & feild event area, wait at the ending point to cheer for them. they have prepared the HK flag, really thoughtful! The first event completed, HK 'miracle kid' did not disappoint everybody, he not only broke the record, he nabbed the gold medal as well, the happy mood, plus the warm atmosphere in the scene, really v exciting!
The happy news come one after another, in the woman's event in the afternoon, our compatitors not only having lanes which are no good, are met with v strong opponents, but I still like to take down the pictures of event, maybe because I am too excited, my hands are treambling, so the effect not v good, (do you all want to see it?) finally though only got a bronze medal, the whole team is v happy, because the opponents are really too strong.
Actually at the sport field yesterday, when I met the athletics, they had told me firmly, "You have come here specially to cheer for us, there is no reason we wont get medals for you to see, rest assure!" Till today, can witness personally HK representatives, receiving Gold, Silver, Bronze medals, you can give glory to HK, I am proud of you all! Andy
28/10---After 2 days of medication, plus sufficient rest, I have almost recovered completely, everbody please do not worry.
Today is the last day for HK team to compete. One of the events is 4x100 man's relay, is another potential medal clinching event, so everyone is v excited. Go the the swimming pool the first time to cheer for the team, though we get mo meadal, but with more practice, HK team is able to get better results.
In the afternoon, in order not to disturb the athletics rest time & mood of competition, I go out with my assistants to do some shopping, thought when I come back at night, I can continue to cheer the team, but because of traffic jam, we arrive just 5 min before the start of event. Among the spectators, includintg me who is huffing & puffing, immediately wave our flag to cheer them, faced with so strong opponents, our HK team still managed to snatch a bronze medal, everybody are so proud & happy with the result.
Night time we go out to have dinner & celebrate, not forgetting to take photos for rememberance, days of worry & tention all swept away, happily awaitiong the closing ceremony tomorrow.

26/10---After a night's sleep, when I wake up, it is already 7am in Sydney, return to hotel for a bath & wash up, change to uniform for HK representative in the Paralympics, gather up energy to cheer for their activities. The receptionist took us to the athletics station, inside is as what I thought, big, beautiful & systematic! Followed soon is the field event, believe everyone had seen this place on TV screen, this is the place where Olymoics opening ceremony was held, though the place is not fully seated today, it is still very busy.
Maybe because I took flu medicine, really need to sneak in to athletics rest room to take a nap. After short nap, watch HK representatives won her silver medal for the long Jupm, really make one happy! In another stadium watch man's table tennis match, return to the station to chat with the athletics, understand their feeliongs in the preparation for the event, have a chance to be near to the one who just received the Silver medal, return to hotel for trest later, get ready to cheer for HK team tomorrow. Andy as Honarary President of HK Paralympics Association set off to Sydney last night after coming back from TW on the same day. He will cheer for the disabled athletics & stay to watch the closing ceremony.
Andy went straight to the stadium after arrival. As he was too exhausted lately with tight schedules, he caught a cold. At interval time he went to the athletics sick bay to rest, but reminded the assistant to wake him up when it starts as he does not want to miss any game.
"Maybe it is the effect of medicine, there was a massage chair at the consultation room, I saw nobody & jumped up to take a nap, without knowing, wah, so comfortable, unknowingly I fell asleep, set a record of falling asleep within 1.1 sec, never happen before!" Andy talked, can tell he really enjoyed the nap!
Andy was greeted with the good news that the athletics have bagged 7 Golds when he arrived. Andy feels v proud of them, "When I entered, I saw them holding the medals, they told me their results happily, at that moment, I was v touched, in my eyes, I can see the glory. The disabled are not only treasuring their lives, they bring glory to HK, they are a good example to all..."
Many people congratulate Andy knowing that he has won Outstanding Young Person Of The World award & is in Guiness World Records. Andy was humble, he said his result cannot be compared to the disabled athletics, he wishes he can win a Gold medal too, they have make Chinese proud!..
In Mainland there is a voting on Healthy Artiste lately, the criteria includes enthusiasm in life, no history of drugs, charitable, unassuming, talented, friendly & warm, Andy Lau, Coco Li & Na Ying are included in the top 20.

25/10---Whole day is also v rush today, return from TW early in the morning, go home & have a bowl of beautiful soup brewed by my mother, have a bath, go back to office, see the preview of new movie, have 2 more meetings, time is really v rush. Have another meeting at home, followed by a telephone interview, then rush to do some packing, preparing for trip to Australia. Thought can sit down & rest a while, but realise have a sore throat, & a bit of fever, took a tablet, hope after a rest on the plane, tomorrow will be well arriving in Australia. Andy

Headline: Andy autograph-cum-singing session in Jia Yi, fans packed Zhong Zhen Park
2 nights ago Andy had an autograph-cum-singing session at Jia Yi Zhong Zheng Park. It was organised by Da Chen Pao, BMG & Jia Yi radio stn, Enjoy My Surname Autograph-cum-singing Session. The Park was packed with fans as early as 3pm, fans from age 3 to 70, young & old on tow, some v 'Local' 'boys' wearing clogs queued up too, Andy's Man Love attracted not only females, male fans admires his macho-look too.
It was an eye-opener for Andy to see so many fans, abt 6,000 in all, all came with Da Chen newspapers. Andy in quite a shock, said,"Whatever time you all want me to sign until, I will accompany you till that time, even thro'out the night!" The crowd gave a thunderous applause.
Other than fans who were v enthusiastic, the emcee had come prepare with camera, clicking away as she chaired the meeting. At one time she asked for a kiss from Andy, 6,000 fans protested, "No!". As the crowd was alarmingly big, the police closed the roads to control the crowd, all roads to the Park were closed. Fans followed Andy's song & swayed like waves.
Andy takes 3 sec to sign 1 CD, excluding singing & interview time, total time used in signing is abt 2 over hours, abt 3,000+ CDs all enjoyed Andy's surname & name. The warmth made Andy perspire profusely, the workers gave him towels continuously. Andy had gone bowling day before, after signing CDs, his hand felt some pain, but he still continued.
Andy took a flight from Taipei to Tainan, then by car to Jia Yi, & by car agin to Kaoshiung for the night. 30 over fans followed him thro'out the journey, till Andy took flight back to HK...

24/10---Go to Jia Yi for the last autograph session of this TW trip, this is the first time I come to this place fro promo, when I arrive, I have a real shock, so many people! At least 5 to 6 thousands, when I autograph for everyone, interesting thing is almost everyone tell me, "Hope next time you can come here more often!" Their warmth overwhelms me, is it before I come, they have already agreed to tell me this sentence?! Album promo finally completed its final station, the activity come to an end. The whole activity signed 10 to 20,000 names, a bit tired came to think of it, but can meet fans from different places in TW, really worth to be happy about! Andy

Under the invitation of Hong Xian Nu, the famous Cantonese opera singer, Andy will perform as guest in a charity show in Malaysia on the 11th next month.
The show will be held on the 10th & 11th at 7:30pm in Petaling Jaya Cultural Center.
Andy has confirmed his presence on the 11th, if time allows & he can make it, he will come for the 10th night show as well.
At phone interview, Andy said he will attend all the charity shows if he has time, this time Hong Xian Nu has invited him & time is suitable so he decides to come.
Has he ever thought of learning Cantonese opera singing from Hong?

Andy will sing 3 songs, most probably his famous Cantonese pop songs that night, if there is encore he might sing more. If the audience requests him to sing opera song, he may even hum a tune or two.

In the movie premiere 2 nights ago, at the Pyjamas Party Andy was noted to be red on the face, & appeared to be unhappy...The workers at first thought it was because someone else wore Andy's sleeping gown to pose for photos that had mede him unhappy. But this was just a false alarm, Andy is very satisfied & happy with this TW trip, he plans to come again in Feb 01 for the promo of Ah Hu.
Last night at Jia Yi Chong Zhen Park Andy had an autograph session, fans who came with Da Chen newspapers & album exchanged door gifts...
When Andy was in Zhan Sha in the Mainland recently, he had a press con to promo the new album. But the reporters threw him tough questions , ignoring the aim of the press con.
One reporter asked Andy if he has come to the end of the road, now that he wants to learn change-face, diving, he films, he does business...
Andy was composed, he nodded his head, gave a cool reply, "Brice Li ever said, the process of learning is like a cup of water, if you dont pour away the old one, you can never fill up new one. I feel that one shuold learn everyday." He turned to his manager who was beside him, "Production co, dont give me too much work, so I can have time to learn, see, someone is scolding you." 23/10---Today Needing You premiered in TW, had a wedding ceremony with Sammi in the afternoon as promo, including exchanging rings, really serious! Actually this movie has received good reviews in HK & many other places, hope it can sell well in TW too, I believe TW friends will support me. Andy

Andy & Sammi had come to TW for the promo of the movie Needing You. The organiser arranged a 'false wedding' for the 2 of them yesterday.
They locked hands, walked down the red carpet aisle, exchanged rings, cut cake, popped champagne, not unlike a real wedding. The weather was v hot, Sammi cladded in leather jacket, found her floral skirt drenched with sweat. Andy with suits was perspiring, fans threw tissues onto the stage for them .
The emcee commented that both of them looked v raw at the process, proving that both have no experience before.
Sammi was asked if she was attracted to Andy, Andy was quick to reply, "I am not as powerful as Tony Leung."
In real life, Sammi said she chooses to eat when she encounters problems, Andy was quick to add, "She is so thin, that means she has no love problems at the moment!"
Unlike Sammi, Andy said when he meets with problems or get angry, he will spend money, buying lots of things. At one incidence he signed a cheque of HK1 million to his father, & regretted after that. Asked if his father made him angry again, Andy said now he knows his trick & wont flare up easily!
On love life, Sammi said there should be a distance between the two, just like toilet bowl, keep it clean & at a distance, flush it when it is dirty. She holds a neutral view to cohabitation, she has no intention to try.
Andy agreed, he hopes that people will watch his acting, he will keep his private matter to himself. He likened toilet bowl to love life, it is for personal use. He joked that his brand of toilet bowl is different from Sammi's. On cohabitation, Andy said to a man, there is no problem, indicationg he has no objections to tried-marrige or cohabitation!
Comapred to Richie Ren, Sammi said Andy is mature, an 'iron-man' who needs little sleep, he is a role model for all to learn.
At 8 in the evening, they attended movie premier at Xi Men Ting. The 100 m-long red carpet stretched from the train station, enthusiastic fans packed both sides since 5pm & waited eagerly. But when both of them arrived, they hurried onto the stage, fans screamed, some commented," I thought they will walk slowly & shook hands with us."
The organiser arranged for a pyjama party at 9pm, but both of them refused to appear in pyjamas, so the pyjamas were presented to them. Sammi had a white skimpy piece, she said,"Can get a cold with this!" Andy was given a gown, he joked, "Dont need this, I sleep naked!" The excited fans screamed louder!...

22/10---Hold 2 autograph sessions in TW today, from Zhong Li by road to Tai Zhong, signed a total of 4,000 over names, hand somewhat numb & painful. In between work, still have time to have a meal with the workers, can also go 'Hai Chong Tian' bowling. Really stealing time from no where. Okay, I am preparing for a full score! Talk again tomorrow! Andy was in TW yesterday. He had an autograph cum singing session at Zhong Li Sogo. The activity was organised by Da Chen Pao, few thousand fans waved Andy's album & the newspapers to welcome him. Many turned up as early as 7am. Before Andy arrived, the place was already packed to the brim. Andy arrived at 4:30pm in a black car admist loud screams of fans, who became disorderly. Barricades were forced down. Many security guards formed human wall to protect Andy.
Andy, in white tees & cargo pants jumped up the stage, singing Silly Child, many times he passed the mike to the fans for them to sing. Fans spilled over to the roads, the organiser requested closure of the roads for safty reasons.
The weather was v hot. The shoping center had to open water jets on the ceilings to cool down the fans.
One fan told Andy that it was over a year he visited the place & wanted him to come more often, Andy in turn wanted them to be in good order, then he will give the promise. His request was met immediately.
Andy saw many come with Da Chen newspapers, he said happily," You all must hold the newspapers higher, they always report my news, so you all can know." BMG had prepared 100 gifts for those who come with the paper & album. Da Chen newspapers were all sold out since early morning.
4 children were lost in the crowd, Andy had to help them to find their mothers, as he sang & signed.
There was a little girl who presented Andy with sweets. Andy asked her, "What do you call me?" The girl looked at Andy & called, "Papa." Andy was not shocked, he was too happy, hugged & kissed her. The emcee quickly explained that the girl is not Andy's real daughter!
Andy was v active & playful on the stage, he had different poses for the reporters to take pictures. fans screamed I love You all the time.
Andy sang Man Cry Is Not A Crime & others, the fans echoed in harmony. Some were v near the stage, some came in wheelchairs. The activity ended at 5pm.
Not many artistes came to Central for promo, but lately the center has invited many artistes including Maggie & Tony Leung to come, it was always packed, but response to Andy session was the hottest.
Andy has specialist to take care of his properties. He said
he has sold his US$3 million house in Hawaii, as he went there only once a year, the caretaker of the house has returned to HK, so he decided to sell it off.
His 3 houses in HK & many more in M'sia & S'pore were all sold, he has now a house in New York, (take note, hsiu!!), one in HK, & one in Shanghai co-invested with Li Xiao Ling.
...All his property adds up to abt NT$7 billion, he is a diamond bachelor. How will he use the money? "Invest on movies, production, & filming."
Andy plans to hold a big year-end party with friends & relatives, & dispalys all the trophies he has won...

20/10---I flew to Zhan Sha last night, as performing guest for an award ceremony. Drizzling the whole day today, attended a press con in the morning, it was really a v grand occasion. A rough estimate will be abt 4 to 5 hundred reporters, coming from all places, finally took one over hour to complete. The drizzle was nonstop, getting heavier & heavier, as the prg arranged that I pefrom the closing number, I was a bit worried, luckily when I saw the down the stage, an outdoor stadium that housed 30,000 audeince, still seated full & packed tightly with people, under this good atmosphere, we spent a night together.
This Zhan Sha trip, v happy to know 2 personms, one is the current Guinness record holder, the other is the spoertsman who has just got a gold medal.
Want to know who? Everyone makes a guess....Andy
21/10---Wake up early in the morning, wanted to watch the performance I had last night, actually the TV stn broadcasted this programme repeatedly the whole night, I realised the rain was really v heavy at the time of performance, hope everyone not sick because of the rain.
Attended gathering organised by the TV stn, play games & sing with hundred over fans, had a wondeful afternoon together.

Another trophy for HK superstar Andy Lau
HONGKONG -- Just days after being listed in the Guinness World Records 2001 as the artiste who has garnered the most awards, Hongkong superstar Andy Lau will be adding another trophy to his bursting cabinet.
The singer-actor will receive this year's Outstanding Young Persons Of The World award from Junior Chamber International in Sapporo, Japan, on Nov 8, it was announced yesterday.
At a charity event on Wednesday, he revealed that the chamber had asked him not to leak news of the award before it was announced officially, Wen Wei Po reported.
""Actually, they informed me about the good news on my birthday in September, but I did not say a word even to my parents because they asked me to keep it secret,'' said the star.
He had been nominated by a doctor for the award, conferred previously on Hongkong singer Jacky Cheung.
The singer-actor said good work ethics and his contribution to the entertainment industry had helped him win this latest accolade.
When asked if there was any award he regretted not having clinched, he replied promptly: ""Best Newcomer, for both acting and singing.''
As for whether he would invite his friends or ""someone special'' to accompany him to the award ceremony in Sapporo, he joked:
""It is too expensive to go to Japan! I have many friends and I don't want to upset any of them by inviting some and not others. It is best that those who wish to go pay their own fare!''

19/10---Wah! Good happenings wave after wave, just being measured by Wax Museum, followed by good news of being listed in Guinness World Records, now have a chance to bcome Outstanding Young Person of The World, really.....very happy! Feel...really very full & solid!
Actually....when I first know abt this honour, I really really want to tell everybody, but due to the instructions from the Chamber, I cannot share the news with everybody, felt somewhat bothered inside, felt quite lost, now can finally say all out, really.....very happy! Andy
