Million-dollar commercial uses Ho Yin-shi, Andy chilvalrous in helping Anita Mui to promote her student (The Sun)

Andy has just finished filming a new commercial for Ericsson. The com invited Anita Mui's favourite student Ho Yin-shi as the female lead. Production cost reaches millions. The scenes were taken from HK, Sydney & S'pore. (Andy Town: ...sure??). The director was last year award winner Les Sharpe from S Africa.
In this com, Andy is a mountain biker abounding with vitality. Donning a biker full gear, Andy shows off some highly difficult stunts. He was serious with the filming, after every scene he discussed with the director, who was very impressed by Andy. The female lead does not have much scene with him, but was equally impressed. Her cooperation with Andy will be a boost to her career.

After clinching the Best Actor title, Andy is actually full of big plans, big plans are coming up for his enterprise! Other than his announcement on the relaunch of Team Work half a year ago with the aim of increasing productions, Andy quitely colloborated with his old pal Li Xiao Ning, to convert his 8 year-old New Medoly company to a big organisation, with an added investments of billions with the aim of wide expansion! The co name will be changed to nmg (Nova Multimedia Group Ltd)!
Accodringly, nmg targets not only markets in China, HK, TW, it plans to venture as far as Canada, Australia, & England with the set-up of branch offices, establishing Andy Lau cross-countries enterprise!
Andy partnered with Li 8 years ago to set up New Medoly Production co, the work then involves mainly in album productions & organising concerts. Now the new investments will take it further to cover more areas across the continents!
A big scale press con will be held at month end or early next month to announce the big plans, The new company plans to take charge of TV filming production, music, & artistes manangerial work, music copyright & distribution etc, widely diversified!

From Andy's movements, it is easy to see his intentions of going global, because nmg has gone up to Beijing, Guangzhou, & Shanghai with negotiations on the the production & release agreement.

4/9---Rush back to HK today, but early in the morning have to get up again, though the time I have back in HK is only a few hours, but I have finished recording one song for the drama, the condition is not bad really!
Such a big person, havent tried taking midnight 3 am flight, this time finally have a chance, but whether straight or lying down, it is all sleeping, never mind lah! By the time I wake up, it should be time in NZ, till then, we shall chat again! Andy

5/9---Andy latest com "Best yeh!"

After being a spy, a designer, an administrator, this time Andy in the latest com for Ericsson cellphone is of an entirely new look, ...as a biker. Lately Andy always appeared as a sportsman, including boxer & car racer, this is in accordance wirth his healthy image.
This series of Ericsson cell phones includes features such as being water-proof, dust proof & shock proof. Filming of A Fighter's Blues has finally come to an end 2 days ago after 2 months of intensive shooting in Thailand. Andy returned to HK yesterday, some fans turned up to receive him. He has no chance to rest, last night he was again jetted off to New Zealand to shoot a commercial in a snowy mountain. Andy has just got used to 38 degree c in Thailand, now he has to adjust to minus 38 degree c. The temp change is so vast, it will be hard for him to suit the change. Andy is filming the com for Super Warm winter clothings.
In these 2 months, Tokiwa Takako has fostered close relationships with Andy & all the crew members. After filming the last shot, Andy held a farewell dinner for her, Tokiwa was v happy & moved, tears welled up in her eyes all the time but she was seen controlling herself. The moment she got up the bus she broke down & cried.
In this movie, Andy has no intimate scene with Tokiwa, except one on the bed, Is he disappointed? Andy smiled, " I am not disappointed, I am not a lecher, dont need to add a bed scene purposely." Though Andy missed a chance to be close with Tikiwa, he is not lonely, when he has time he goes swinmming in the pool. Thai language Sawasdee krup is 'How do you do', Andy said everyday there are different 'cups A B C D', the eyes are v busy...
Aaron is shooting Pepsi com in Thailand with a gordilla. In Thailand Andy has also became close to a monkey. This monkey is a 'lazy' species, belonging to a part-time actor. It looks like a mouse, the duo hit off well, the monkey seems to like Andy a lot & vice versa, it climbs on every part of Andy's body, though Andy is scared of mouse, he is comfortable with this minkey, Tokiwa screamed 'kawaii!' (lovely) & laughed till 'cant see the eyes'...

3/9---Today film the last of the intimate scene, after this scene, shooting for the whole movie is over, fist 'quantou' over, pillow 'zhentou' also over, after filming, the next stage is the production of later part, hope after filming this movie can suit all the friends.
After this will prepare music & others for the movie, before all this is done, I borrow some time to go to New Zealand tomorrow, from a v hot place to a freezing snowy mountain, not sure if I can get use to it.
I will be back to HK on the 11th, to prepare for my concert, then I can meet everybody, till then....Andy

The tough training behind the shooting
The boxers acting opposite Andy in the movie are all real boxers in real life, their boxing is of course up to the flesh, real formidable, Andy acted in all the scenes himself, without any prior expereince, but because of this shooting, not only Andy has to keep fit, jogging everyday, he trains boxing daily.
A few hours before the shooting, Andy has to stretch his tendons & warm up, so if you see Andy kicking beautifully on the screen, actually behind the scene he has put in lots of effort, this working attitude is what propels Andy to progress & the reason why so many people like him.

The comment given by Andy Lau on himself is, 'In my mother's heart, I am a son with strict self-discipline, from small till now, I dont make her worry at all.'
Andy feels that, if he was not in the entertainment circle, he will also become an outstanding scholar, "When I was in primary school, I am always the school top scholar, my result was outstanding, in Secondary 5, I was always awarded with scholarship, I remember at that time, the school fee for 1 term is HK$20, I always had scholarship, my mother had to pay HK$2 to 3 only."
Andy was so good in study & yet didnt go to the U, the reason being, at that time, his thinking was 'to earn quick & fast money, studying does not gurantee that.' After entering HK TVB, in the beginning, my monthly pay was only HK$1,200, renting a room was already HK$1,800, with a negative balance of $600, how to be enough? So other than filming, I gave tuition in English, Maths, to earn a little bit more.' In 1986, after filming The Unwritten Law, he became v famous, TVB gave him a salary of HK$6,800, there was great discrepancy between the pay & his market value, Andy has suffered since young, he understands money is hard to come by, until today he is still very thrifty. In buying things overseas sometimes, when nobody can recognise him, he will show his prowess in barginning, can you imagine how Andy Lau looks like when he bargains?
Strict self-discipline in Andy's life is completely acceptable. Other than filming & working, many artistes will frequent the pub, bar, for a booze to relax, Andy does not drink, he is also wary of inviting trouble in public places, so for him, after work is still work. The only entertainment he has is bowling & reading. Once when he was in China, after the promo of song Silly Child in Beijing with Small Black & Jacky Wu, during night time, Small Black invited Andy to go & enjoy a good meal at Beijing most famous Roast Duck restaurant, Andy kept shaking his head, saying he will stay ih his room in the hotel, to stop the fans from starting another star-chasing, Small Balck sighed, "Good wine cannot taste, good delicacy cannot taste, Andy's life like that, isn't it like a monk?"

Headline: King Lau scolded by James Wong Zhan for 3 years

Many people already know Andy has filmed 100 movies, but v few people know that, all these years, he sings & writes, he has also written 100 over love songs, in his life of lyric writing , the person he wishes to thnak the most is the HK-renowned James Wong Zhan.
Andy recalls in 1991, he wrote his first song 'Love Is So Silly', after the release, Wong published in all the major HK newspapers, critising him as ' Have never seen, a person who is as dumb as that to write love song like that.' Wong continued to scold him on the newspapers for a solid 3 years. One day, in a public place, Andy met Wong, he couldnt help but to tell Wong, "Can you please dont use such strong words to scold me?" Wong just patted him on the shoulder, "Dont give up, people do progress, I scolded you for 3 years, now I can understand your work already."
Andy writing of lyrics, from one who is completely ignorant to now becoming a 'professional', has won the respect of many musicians who have colloborated with him before. The latest song written by him, Man Cry Is No Sin, on the day of recording, after listening, the producer Liu Tian Qian rejected it & wanted King Lau to rewrite. At that moment, Liu thought, within a day, it is impossible for Andy to make any good alternations on the song. Never had he thought that on the next day of recording, Andy came back with a good lyric for the song, he was awe-striken.

"When I write songs, I want to be alone, I dont wish to be disturbed." But after writing, Andy will invite many people to correct for him, then he uses others thoughts imbued into his own song. "How, my tolerance to others not bad huh."

Lau genuine calligraphy, money cannot buy!

Andy Lau is very good in Chinese calligraphy, the way he convey his sincerity to his friends, is not on gifts, but 'words'. For friends' birthday, he will write lots of wishing words to fill up the cards. When the record co worker shifted house, what Andy gave was again a calligraphy, with the words 'Home Sweet Home', the worker who received it was so happy, he frame & hang it high up in the living room, introduced it to whoever visited his house, "This is what cannot be bought from outside, it's Andy Lau's calligraphy."
Andy who is famous far & wide, his status value is extraordinary, his has houses scattered all over the world, about 100 over pieces, but Andy who comes from a humble background, has the good virtue of being thrifty, since in the showbiz, after filming The Unwritten Law he has become v famous, his monthly income from TVB was HK $6,800
In his earlier years, when he was famous, he did not earn much, this has developed in him the habit of thriftiness. Andy Lau, cheated by man

Of the 4 Heavenly Kings, Jacky Cheung has become a father, love affair between Leon & Shu Qi has become more open lately, Aaron Kwok has a constant change of girlfriends, the only one with a love mystery is Andy Lau.
Andy, with both IQ & EQ at No.1, when the talk is on him becoming a boss, his investment on the net, becomes an orator. He carries on & on, with full enthuthism. From Andy's conversation, it can be seen that he has treated people honestly, so when he feels that he is cheated, his porcupine attitude will surface.
He avoided the 3 words Zhu Liqian, but he beats abt on his ideal lover is what type of a person, he will answer without hiding, "My good lover, dont have to worry abt me, she can gets my concern & care, it is a pity that I am a lover with little time, I am really too busy, I fly here & there, no time to keep my lover company."
Little time to give, Andy feels that he is quie a romantic sort, how romantic is he? For example, he said, "When I have a sweet with my lover, I will open the wrapper slowly, gazed at her lovingly, tell her, try this, this candy is as sweet as the love I give you." In real live, his love life conversation is just like the lines on the reel.
In future, when he becomes a husband, what type of husband is he ? Thinking for a while, he answered, " I am still not married, I am not sure what type of husband I will be, at the moment, I can only say I am a good lover, I dont think I can be a good husband, as I am not into it yet, I am still fullheartedly concentrating on my career."
Andy said, his friends around him, after married with children, all become changed persons, center of life alos changed, " I am scared the days after marrying, I will be thinking a lot, I will make a lot of changes because of my family, my children, that is the reason that why I will not married hastily at this moment.

1/9---Thailand is just like HK, the weather is v unpredictable, the sky is gloomy the whole day today, some drizzle in between.
Luckily after beaten by someone yesterday, can have half a day rest today, more luckily is there is a private chef here tonite, he cook a home-cooked meal at my private apartment, cannot remember when was the last time I had a home-cooked meal, realy enjoy.....!!!!
Though start work tomorrow, but feel v relaxed, because...........2 more days I can return to HK. Andy

31/8---Today is the last day for shootings of all the boxing matches, finally finish all that is to be done on the stage, there is still a scene below the ring.
Filming of the last match today, I meet with my strongest opponent, he is also an actor, but he is the previous 'Golden Belt' winner for consecutive 6 years, though he will compromise in all his blows, but as the saying goes 'even a rotten boat has 3"-long nails', every punch is so forceful, every kick is so heavy, fierce kickings flying in front of my chest, though I know he has alreday 'controlled' himself, but I feel that every blow is so strong & heavy, getting a little bit.....dizzy...., almost wanted to leave, dont want to shoot any more, but no matter what, I must complete the shots, for a good movie, I will pay.

1/9---Lately Andy has completed filming all the boxing matches, only one more scene below the stage, it is only at this last moment that Andy meets his real opponent.
In his many previous shootings of boxing, Andy had encountered different boxers, but the final opponent in this final match, is the real Thai boxing champion, though he is also an actor, he is the 'Golden Belt' winner for 6 years, in his match with Andy, he is restraining himself, so that Andy wont get hurt, but he is still the champion boxer, so in shooting, unavoidedly he uses some of his real gongfu, fists & kicks are forceful. But Andy on encountering stronger opponents becomes more forceful, to complete the show, Andy persisted till the end, showing his professionalism in acting.

Filming of A Fighter's Blues in Thailand is finishing soon. The team is expected to return to HK on the 5th of Sept.
The remaining few scenes will be shot in HK & the movie is slated for release during Christmas holidays. Andy has came up with some Chinese names for the movie, but he is not v satisfied with them, as such, he plans to seek viewers' opinion in names over at his web portal. (Andy Town: it's already up for contest!)
Andy has put much emphasis on this movie, as it is his 100th movie, & the debut of Team Work re-launch. Besides acting, he is involved actively in work behind the scenes from beginning to end, such as in the production. He is glad the production cost has not overshot & is happy with the movie so far.
Andy said the coordiantion is v professional this time, esp the local Thai crew members, they are of high standard, even the temp actors, cheering all the way as audience.
Asked abt his upcoming b'day wish, said he, "Hope box office for this movie will be good."
When the reporters visited Andy in Thailand, Andy was all dressed up as a boxer in the ring. Hundreds of temp actors were called in to act as audience, thye cheered & created the atmosphere. As shooting can only be done after midnight, Andy has to film for as long as 12 hours after midnight, but this is not a problem for Andy, as he is one who looks better with no sleep!
Andy said he communicate with Tokiwa in English, Tokiwa is v hardworking, she will memorised the Cantonese verses by hard, as the whole movie is shot in Cantonese.
Andy has a 14 year-old daughter in this movie, this is acted by a local Thai Chinese.
Andy has plans to set up a production co in Beijing, to recruit newbies in singing & acting, such as New Medoly in HK. The office space has been found & Li Chuan has been roped in.
Tokiwa praised Andy a lot at the press con. She said Andy has benifetted her during acting in many ways, he is v patient in discussions with her, this has made her feel at ease.

30/8---Finally all the casts & crew mwmbers, from Thailand & HK,can be together tonight for a meal, as in the next few days there will be crazy filming day & night, I think this is the last chance to be together before leaving Thaland.
So.....everyone is very happy tonight, on top of that it is the bday of one of the workers, everyone play merrily, some even became drunk, hope everyione after playing, tomorrow at work, can produce a good movie for everyone to see! Andy

31/8---Since filming in Thailand, Andy has not officially met with the local media, the co held a press con lately, for Andy & the female leads to come face to face with the local media.
Making use of the rest time in between shootings, Andy attended the press con, the reporters are from the local TV stns, press, they asked lots of questions on the new movie, Andy fielded questions one by one.
The local reporters like to take photo with Andy v much, & ask autograph from him, but as the time is very tight, Andy is unable to fullfill all their wishes, but promised to take photos & autograph with them next time, if there is a chance.
Besides reporters, the interpreters are the same, they are Thai, English, Cantonese reporters, as the local reporters use Thai to ask, Andy answers in English, despite the different languages, it is not too difficult to communicate, The most interesting is the Thai like to call Andy in Mandarin, they dont call him Andy, maybe they think like that Andy will feel closer!
