Angels, attack

                              INTRODUCTION

2000 A.D., a large asteroid lands in Antarctica. It caused a unprecedented disaster. This was the Second Impact.
Ocean levels increased, natural disasters rose everywhere, economies collapsed, nations quarrelled, civil wars.... The world's population drops by half.
15 years later, after much effort to revive the traces came a glimmer of light. However, mankind met a new kind of danger. That was " Angels."
These unknown giant battle weapons arrive one by one. They are truly what their name indicates. Are they " God's messengers?"
To defend the future from the soon-to-come Angels, mankind developed humanoid fighting machines EVANGELION. By 2015 A.D., 3 of them are ready to use. 3 teenagers have also been selected as the EVA's pilots. Adults can only put the hope of the future on them.
These teenagers with important destinies carry the burden. Their battle is about to begin....

Shinji's standing beside a train door.

Shinji:
I never wanted to become someone important. Like a dream, things like this I've never dreamed of.
Living to 14, my days have just drifted along. I thought the future would be mostly like this
So, if there was an accident $ I was to die, it would probably be nothing frightening.

A mysterious being wades through the waters, swimming past flooded buildings. It is massive, with clawlike arms, white plates, and a red sphere in the center.

U.N. tanks stand along a cliffside highway. The soldiers appear alert and the guns are directed towards the water. Suddenly, there's a splash in the water, followed by rumbling.

Intercom:
Traces of unknown subject sighted at sea!

Person:
Broadcast the unknown subject.

Intercom:
Main screen.

Person:
After a 15 year interval.

Gendo:
Yes, Angels. The moment has finally arrived, the test that humans cannot avoid.

Out in the city....
Emergency alert! Broadcasting emergency alert!

12:30 today, Central Tokyo by means of East Sea has been made the center of a special emergency declaration. Requesting all residents to report immediately to the nearest bomb shelter.
Now repeating, please immediately report to the nearest bomb shelter.

Shinji:
Hmmph!( slams down the telephone)

Shinji:

The missiles has no effect!? It should be destroyed by now! What is this creature!

A barrage of fighters is bombarding the Angel, to no effect.

Planes:
Retreat!!Retreat!!

The angel fires a beam, shattering the fighters. Shinji:( dodging)

He covers up his face. Squeel of tires. A car appears in front of Shinji.

Shinji:

Misato:
Sorry for waiting. This way! In the car!

Shinji:
Miss..Miss Misato?

Misato:
Hurry, C'mon!

Shinji:
OK!

Misato:
Hold on tight. Car speeds away.

Shinji:

Misato:
No, Shinji, this is a friend.

The giant figure looms over them and puts the car on its feet.

Shinji:
Is is a machine?

Misato:
Uh oh, we're late!

We can't delay any longer, get in the car. There's no time.

Shinji:
Time?

Misato:
We must get out of here as soon as possible! Or we won't make it!

The car zooms away.

The figure (friend) looks at speeding car. The angel rushes it and crashes it into a wall. pg 30

The angel then hurls it several buildings away.

Shinji:
The situation's reversed.

Misato: (thinking)
I know already...it's too much of a burden for you right now. pg 31

At Control Center..

Reporting:
Pilot's pulse, blood pressure is low. A^10 nerves decreased by 50%. Chest suture is bleeding.
NN bomb 180 seconds till launch!

Gendo:
Nothing can be done, retreat at road 192.

The EVA kneels on a pod, which goes into the ground. Words on top: EVA CE4.

Shinji:
All the missiles seem to have missed the creature

Misato:
Duck, there's going to be an explosion.

All is still. Suddenly, a glowing light is seen at the Angel's center.

It grows into an immense ball, and erupts! pg 34

The car is thrown off by the force of the explosion.

Headquarters:
Success!

The car lies overturned.

Shinji:
Are you okay, Miss Misato?

Misato: (fuming)
I've had enough!

Control Center...

General:
Hahahaha! See that! This is the NN's power. Your new machine won't get a second chance in battle.

Controller:
Since the signals have been cut off, it's impossible to locate the target. Please wait a moment.

General:

Controller:
Energy reaction in center of blast!!

Ikari, headquarters has issued a command. from now on, command has been given to you. Let us see your ability.

Our army, the weapons used on the target seems to have no effect. But, Ikari, can you win?

Gendo:
No worry, NERV was established for this reason.

Elsewhere, Misato drives the car into a tunnel, past a wall with the words" NERV ."

Shinji:
