Translator’s notes: Sometimes I wonder if the following for this series has finally died out…sniff sniff. True, it takes Waseda a long time to come out with each volume, but I believe the end result is worth it. To those who still follow this series, thank you for supporting the mangaka…and my website. To those of you haven’t bought the books yet, do it, people! As far as I know, this manga isn’t all that popular, so Waseda needs all the support she can get.

Anyways…as for the translation itself, I don’t have the Japanese volume for Vol. 5 and 6, so these chapters won’t be as polished, if they were in the first place.

Pg 3

I force myself to watch, yet I can’t see anything…

(Image of Haru’s blankly staring eyes)

Even if

Although people say love is blind,

Pg 4

I might as well ruin my eyes,

Refuse to look at anything.

Haru: …9,10. Hmm…

She finishes counting. “I’ll pass these out tomorrow, that’ll be OK.”

Pg 5

Onada walks into the classroom. “Thanks for your hard work  - 1st years are always called to do errands.” Haru waves to him as she leaves..

Haru: Bye! Lets both concentrate on our clubs!

Onada: I’m in the “Going Home*” club.

*Onada is one of those who are not participating in any clubs, and goes home after school ends.

Haru: What!? Daiko aren’t you in the soccer club?

Onada: It’s “Going Home!”

Haru walks off thinking that he was suppose to be a soccer player. She suddenly turns back and calls, “Ah! Wait!”

Haru (teasing): People say you spent money in a salon to get tanned, is that true?

A pissed-off Onada rages,  “I’ve always been dark!!”

Pg 8

Onada: Who’s the girl that’s been spreading these rumors!? Is it *Yoroko!? Tell her I’ll kill her!!

*More guesswork on my part. To my understanding, the author’s notes states that Yoroko is the nickname by which guys call the respective girl.

At the swimming pool…

Seki claps his hands. “Everyone! Can everybody look here! Look here!”

Pg 9

Seki: To everyone present!! Today I the prince shall pass down a special training technique to you guys!

Kanda, holding a bucket, shouts, “Everyone come here and listen closely!”

Seki: Each of you prepare a bucket and rope!!

The crowd stares at Seki and Kanda in equal parts consternation and delight.

Onlooker: Seki’s going to perform again!

Another person mutters, “ Where exactly did that leopard overcoat…” Seki replies charmingly, “Oh? You want it?”

Seki and Kanda take off their jackets in dramatic fashion. ^^

Seki: Hiya!

Pg 10

Splash! Kanda jumps into the pool.

A wet Seki announces, “I (still) can’t swim!! So I’m going to carefully watch Natsuki!” He holds a diagram to the audience of a swimmer with a bucket between his legs.

Seki: With a bucket fastened to a rope bound around your waist, you can train your abdomen muscles!! This is the same as the baseball club dragging tires when they run!!

Pg 11

Seki: This is called!

Bucket Power!!

Seki glances at everyone, and is met with deathly silence. He clasps his hands and turns away in a dramatic, tragical pose, against a shimmering background of sparkles and flowers. ^^

Seki:  It’s for everyone that I…!! I’m sacrificing myself!

(In the backdrop) Such cruel people…They must take their enjoyment from bullying me! This must be so…!

Seki: It’s true…In the education channel’s swimming program, Chuo University’s coach precisely did say, “Bucket power!

Author’s note: It’s true!

The males in the audience choke. “Prince! Please don’t bring out that bishounen pose again! And also refrain from using difficult kanji!”

“At least be a modest bride…all the males are going to vomit!”

Pg 12

Kanda crawls out of the pool with a *scary expression on his face, frightening everyone, including Seki.

*Think Sadako in Ring 2 …lol.

“Kan-chan’s dying…”

He throttles Seki. “Oh yeah! Did you just called me ‘Natsuki’…Did you call me Natsuki…”

Seki pleads, “An angry Kan-chan is also appealing.”

Haru comes in.

Haru: Sorry, I’m late…”

The girls reply, “Haru, too bad!” “You missed the exciting ‘Bucket power’!”

Haru looks at them in confusion while Reiko laughs.

Pg 13

Seki looks over to where Haru is, and he suddenly loses strength. He falls into the pool, the shock of the others.

Someone shouts, “My god!”

Haru thinks back to Aki’s smiling face.

Pg 14

Someone pulls Seki out of the water. He grimaces in pain at the pressure on his arm. “It hurts…the arm! Arm!” He looks up and sees Haru .

Seki (surprised): …Thanks…

She slaps him resoundingly.

Pg 15

Seki holds his hand up to his cheek. Haru glares at him with a frightening expression

Haru: …Because you can’t swim, you in more danger than anyone else here, do you understand that?”

Seki bows his head,  “- Yes…”

Haru: Scaring the shit out of everyone!!

Pg 16

One group gathers around Haru; another around Seki.

“Haru, your movement was so fast!”

“Like there was a fire or something!”

“In an instant you pulled him out! Amazing!!”

Seki : - An instant? In an instant?

His thoughts are interrupted by the others. “You really can’t swim, yet you’re not scared out the water.”

“You form falling into the water was so cool!”

“Is your face okay?”

Seki replies, “It’s because I like facing challenges!”

- I hate this…

Kanda: Seki?

Pg 17

Kanda: Sorry, I’m really sorry.

Because right then on that side I fell into the pool, so I couldn’t save you.

Seki: Don’t worry! I’m really not scared of the water.

They hug each other tightly, so the cheers of the others.

Kanda: But Haru was so serious! (laugh)

Pg 18

He grins and punches Seki’s shoulder.

Kanda: So yeah!

Please state that you accept her concern represented by that slap!

It’s pissing me off!

Seki smiles grimly, “So you say?

 Pg 19

Recently no matter what situations, they all remind me.

My feelings are a mess…it’s infuriating!

He’s always disturbing my emotions…

What right does he have to do this!

Seki: Or because she’s reminded of…

Pg 20

Seki: that drowning incident.

Pg 21

Flashback of Aki.

Pg 22

A senpai elbows Haru, giggling “Oh yeah, Haru~~~ you sure are some greedy girl!”

Haru: What?

“Just then you were with a guy, two lonesome people together in the classroom.

Haru: What!?

By now a whole gaggle of girls have surrounded Haru.

“Haru, when did this affection start!?”

“Is the other that short guy?

Haru: You guys are mistaken! That’s…

“Oh my! What are you going to do about Seki?”

Haru (mad): From the start he and I had a relationship!!

An imaginary blade knifes Seki in the head.

Pg 23

Someone calls out, “Ah! There he is!” Seki turns around to look at the source of the commotion. Through the upper windows of the pool room, the girls see Onada and his friend passing by.

“Is that him, Haru?”

“Daiko?”

“You know his surname is Onada?”

“Oh! So it’s Daiko!”

Onada turns towards the pool.

“Wah! He’s looking this way!”

Pg 24

“Wave to him Haru.”

Haru: Why~~~ What need do I have to wave at him?

Reiko: Ah!

Onada makes the sign for scissors in an instantaneous game of jan-ken-po. Haru responds with a fist, but only after he makes his move.

Haru makes a little victory dance “Great!”

Reiko: What’s with the “great”? You were the slow one!

Onada leaves laughing.

Pg 25

“The committee members are also like this – they just stand on the side and watch the show!”

“Hahaha! It’s because Haru has never messed with slander before!”

A girl shouts, “The only person who makes things up is Seki, right?”

Seki is suddenly pierced with a bullet.

“Prince!”

“Prince ha been shot with a high-powered bullet!”

Seki turns to Kanda’s arms for comfort.

Seki: Women…women are so…

Kanda: I understand! Don’t cry!! Don’t cry!!

In an instant a sharp needle

Pg 26

penetrated through the top of the head, pierced the spine.

Pg 27

When you’re uneasy the more accurate is the...

Pg 28

Premonition.

Pg 29

In the classroom, Haru feels a sudden chill along her back.

Pg 30

Haru: It should be impossible!

No! But the last time there was a change of seats –

~Flashback~

Seki: Don't worry! No matter how far the distance, I'll always move in your direction!!

~End~

Haru: So…so disgusting!

“Hey!” Haru turns around. An irate teacher, weapon of punishment in hand (a book), stands over a groggy Seki, who has been rudely awakened from his nap in class. The entire class is watching the scene.

Teacher: Don’t sleep so well in front of me!!

Seki: Huh…

Rebellion of the fired dumplings?

Kanda, sitting next to him, says disapprovingly, “What ‘rebellion’?”

Haru (blushing) So…I’m thinking too much…

Pg 31

She glances at him.

Haru: What is that pig-head thinking?

Seki mutters to Kanda, I wanted to keep dreaming!” Kanda replies, “I’ll think you’ll better wake up more willingly!”

Haru: He can’t swim at all, so why does he say he’s not scared of the water?

Is something wrong with his head?

Seki suddenly feels someone watching him. He turns around in bewilderment

Seki: Water…No water.

Kanda has an exchange with the teacher.

“Kanda, your seat’s not over there!”

“It’s not okay?”

“No is no!”

“Sensei, you’re so mean!”

Pg 32

“Haru, you like club activities the best!”

“I love it!”

Seki sees Haru, smiling, sitting at her desk. He secretly moves over to her table leans close to her.

Seki (whispers): Don’t gaze so lovingly at me…You finally have an interest towards me!

Haru screams in shock, “Ayaa! Ayaaaaa!”

Pg 33

She ends up perched on her table.

Haru (mad): Don’t touch me so casually!!

Someone calls, “Sensei, Haru’s sitting on the table.” Seki, cradling his stinging cheek, shouts, “That hurts! Even someone will occasionally want to have “an intimate bodily feeling”!”

*I think that’s what it means…

Posing against a backdrop of cherry blossoms, Seki gazes far away.

Seki: I fell into love’s trap…that’s right! It was that spring day in April…

He holds his hands to his blushing face and cries, “From then on, my heart only had (censored)! Only (censored)! I gave all my affection to you!!

What harm is there letting someone touch for a moment!!” The period of hellish longing!

In tears, the males all gaze at Seki in adoration,

“Youji, you’re amazing!”

“Prince, you’re amazing! You’re so great!”

Reiko tells them, “Get off the stage you degenerates!” The rest of the girls are speechless. ^^

Pg 34

Seki sits in a lounge chair that miraculously appeared, attired like a pimp and smoking a cigar.

Sign: Talent - being a scoundrel

The male students cheer him on, “Prince, you’re so cool!”

One guy asks, “But, you’re in the swimming club right? The advantages!! Nothing there you want to see?”

Seki looks blank.

Seki:…Advantages? (pause) But, I don’t know if I should say that her breasts are about the same as mine…

Haru (incredibly pissed again): You guys are so noisy I can’t hear listen to the lesson!

Pg 35

Seki: Everyone! Be quiet! Haru will be embarrassed!!

Haru: You pig-head!! Don’t make me the topic!!

The crowd laughs. In the midst of the commotion, the teacher is ignored.

Teacher: My…my lesson! Maybe it’s better if I went back to Kyushu…I actually wanted to stay there and farm.

Student (sweatdrop): Sensei?

It’s the end of the period. Students are walking to their next class.

Reiko: Haru, going? We’re leaving!

Haru rummages through her bag in a panic. “Wait a bit~~~~”

Pg 36

Crying, Haru walks up to Reiko and the others in the hallway.

Haru: I really did forget my handbook – I’m going to be scolded by the teacher again!! My forehead will be in trouble again!! It’s going to hurt!!

Reiko: That’s why I reminded you after school yesterday!

Someone throws a book that lands on Haru’s head. She turns around in anger. She sees Onada going to his next class.

Onada: Take it! I just finished using it.

Pg 37

All the girls exclaim, “Daiko your majesty!!”

“You’re such a good guy! Daiko! We’re praising you! Next time you have to treat us!! (laugh)!!”

Onada, scurrying away as fast as possible, mutters,  “In your dreams.”

Author’s note: he hates groups of females.

Seki rises in a towering rage, while Kanda tries to restrain him.

Seki: He makes me pissed! What does he mean by that!?

Sign: King of jealousy

Kanda: No matter how angry you are, you don’t have anything to lend!

Author’s note: because they’re in the same class.

A sobbing Seki grabs tightly to Kanda, who pats him on the head reassuringly.

Kanda: Next time I’ll cook handmade buckwheat noodles for you! I’ll also add fried shrimp!!

Seki: Of course!

“The two are playing lovebirds again…”

“Can’t believe that they’re doing this even during lunchtime…”

Pg 38

Seki has a distinctly unhappy expression on his face. He is in the men’s restroom, using its facilities.

Seki: Crap! My mood is still horrible!

Putting on a frightening face, he suddenly screams at the person next to him

Seki: I’m stealing a look at it - !!

The poor recipient screams for his life (Seki, you horrible, horrible person…).

Seki leaves the bathroom still unsatisfied. “Even the entertainment of sexual harassment can’t relieve me from my pent-up emotions.”

Text: “Terrible.”

Pg 39

Seki comes upon Onada in the hallway.

Pg 40

They stare at each other a moment. Seki walks past him, but Onada continues to look back at him.

Seki: What!?

Isn’t this person “Daiko”?

What is he looking at…

Onada: Seki…

Pg 41

Onada whispers in Seki’s ear, “You didn’t close it!”

Seki: What?

He looks down at his pants. He blushes red in embarrassment, while Onada smiles.

Seki, blushing, hurriedly covers up the area in question.

Seki: This person’s so kind-hearted! Daiko!! Sorry! I’ve mistaken you!

You are my angel! From now on I’ll call you that!

Pg 42

In the classroom…

Seki (condescendingly): If he were to beg me now, maybe I can forgive him.

He’s a very polite youth!!

Kanda (exasperated): Since you’re willing to forgive him, accordingly I should be first!

Text: “Super terrible.”

Seki and Haru inadvertently look at each other. Haru snaps her head away angrily.

Seki tattles to the teacher, causing Haru to glare at him. “Sensei! I only accidentally met her gaze, and she showed an unpleasant expression! She’s bullying people!”

Teacher :Oh? Who is it!? You can’t bully the students! Or else I’ll slap your head!
