High School Reunion in Las Vegas

The reunion is coming and it will be a lot of fun!

You are invited to attend the La Salette of San Mateo high school reunion at the Ramada Inn in Las Vegas on September 5, 1999. Here’s your chance to get together with old and new friends, ask schoolmates what they have been doing, and get the latest on others who haven’t yet been located, and share about their lives since high school.

The event will also give LSSM alumni to commemorate and celebrate La Salette of San Mateo’s 50th Golden Foundation Anniversary.

Adoracion (Doring) Padua has made reservations, on behalf of La Salette of San Mateo Alumni Association, with Ramada Inn for September 3, 4 & 5, 1999. The Ramada Inn address is 3625 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, Nevada. For reservations, call the toll free number 1-800-272-6232 or telephone number (702) 431-7121 and mention reservation number 63 68 56 23.

You may choose to stay in another hotel but we suggest that we all book in at the Ramada Inn. We’ll have more fun and more time to spend together if we all stayed in the same hotel.

Hotel rates for September 3 & 4 are $62.00 and $53.10 for September 5. The rates include free breakfast and use of swimming pool. Please make your reservations early due to limited availability of rooms. The reservation cut-off date is August 2, 1999.

Also, kindly e-mail, phone or write Ely Dayrit-Villanueva if you plan to attend the reunion. That way, we can keep count and inform fellow alumni on who are attending.

Ely Dayrit-Villanueva’s address is:

Wok Right In Oriental Fast Food, 1290 Scottsdale Mall, Southbend, IN 46614. Phone Number: (219) 299-9926; e-mail address: Wokrightin@webtv.net.

The next reunion may again be on La Salette of San Mateo’s 75th Foundation Anniversary, and that will be in 2024!

Acknowledgments:

Special thanks to Doring Munsayac-Padua, Ely Dayrit-Villanueva, Thelma Ladores, Rely Diego, Leonie Pasuquin-Bramwell, Sophia Lorenzo-Borg and Fr. Romy Seleccion, M.S. for their talents, efforts and support in planning and organizing the forthcoming high school reunion.

At Day’s End

Is anybody happier because you passed his way? Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today? The day is almost over, and its toiling time is through; Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you? Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that’s slipping fast, that you helped a single brother of the many that you passed? Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said; Does the man whose hopes were fading, now with courage look ahead? Did you waste the day, or lose it? Was it well or sorely spent? Did you leave a trail of kindness, or a scar of discontent? As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that God will say, “You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today.”? (John Hall)
