The Vietnam Natural and Traditional Beauty Association (SIVACAVINA) was established in 1989, and is a non governmental organisation in Vietnam. It provides a forum for people who are interested in the arts of Bonsai and Suiseki in whole country with the purpose of :

The activities of our Association includes several fields such as Bonsai, Suiseki, birds, fishes, art and handicrafts for domestic decoration, gardening and landscaping, following a long tradition and experience in the art of ornamental trees of almost 800 years.

In the past Bonsai and Suiseki were exclusively reserved for the high classes such as the King, Mandarins and affluent people in the society, now it has become widely popular for all classes in Vietnam.

Our Association is particulary focusting on cultural activities which to help improve the quality of life of the people. While observing the general principles of the arts of bonsai and suiseki , our bonsai artists and practitioners always try to find creative styles to express the national characteristics and cultural traditions of Vietnam . We particulary emphasize the human significance of each style and kind of the bonsai.

In the modern life of today, developing the bonsai practices also has another significance, that is to protect the ecological environment.

At this time, SIVACAVINA has 15,000 members with branches in most cities and provinces throught out the country. We aim at building friendship among the people of the world through the art of bonsai. We believe that this is the most significant way to preserve peace and build a better living environment for everybody.
