Grade 11 Data Processing Concepts (BTA 3O1)

Recommended Preparation: TIK 2O1

The emphasis of this course is on the use of computers in the business world. This course provides students with the opportunity to develop the information technology skills and knowledge required in business. Students will learn about the information technology work environment, use industry-standard software, conduct electronic research, investigate electronic business and explore occupations and post-secondary programs that require information technology skills.

Applications include those that are commonly used in word processing, business payroll, inventory, cost management, and other related topics. Students use the packages to gain an understanding of the relationship between computers and business.
