Eyes on You

A Poem for Omi

By: NightMajik

My life is as blue as the eyes
that waltz through my masquerade.
With a strong will
that is as painful as it is true,
they shine in endless hope.

Tasukete

But I’m lost in an
endless maze of untruth,
fighting the blood that threatens
to drown me,
screaming without breath,
only in sleep.

Help me

If someone were ever
to search my gaze,
someone might see far enough
to realize.
But I’m always the first
to turn away.

A struggle of darkness,
corona of light,
that flickers and dances
like my pretenses.
So close to
breaking,
so far from
pride.

Hold my hand,
please,
I’m too young for this.
I’m trembling in the dark,
with only the cruel moon
for a companion.

Help me

But the rain washes away
the blood, the tears;
The rains take away
the grip of my palm,
so that I can no longer hold on without
your help.
On my knees,
isolated,
in the blue rain blue.

Tasukete

If you would ever
catch my sight,
just for long enough,
ever turn around,
when the night seems
darkest,
you might find my eyes on you.
