Lina Inverse is the firey leader of the Slayers Gang.  Indeed she deserves the utmost respect, for this 17 year old sorceress can whip out a spell faster than any swordsman can his sword...Except Gourry of course...

Gourry Gabreiv is Lina's personal protector...not that she really needs it, of course.Gourry is a grade 'A' swordsman.  Unfortunately, his intellect lacks tremendously.  We still love him though.

Next we have my baby, Zelgadis Greywers.  Zelgadis is a Chimera...part human, part golem, and part . He has blue, rock-like skin, which makes him nigh invulnerable, superhuman speed and strong magical abilities. He was transformed by Rezo the Red Priest, his grandfather...and great-grandfather.  Zelgadis is a sorcerer and a swordsman and excels at both. And no matter what he thinks, his good looks make him very desirable to the ladies. (Amelia in particular!)

And of course, I suppose  I can't get away without first mentioning Amelia Seyruun.  Amelia is a wannabe sorceress under Lina's tutelage.  Her father is Prince Philionel of Seyruun, so she's a princess.  Both she and her father are obsessed with justice.  She's also in love with my Zelgadis.  I personally like her...in fact she's my favorite character.

And finally, we will discuss Xellos Metallium, the Trickster Priest.  Although at first glance he seems harmless enough, this sorcerer is definately hiding something.  His powers are incredible, his motives unclear.  Perhaps his powers are even greater than Lina's.  But we don't know too much about him at first, for whenever a question is asked that he doesn't want to answer, he just says, "Sore wa himitsu desu!"  Or for those of us who don't speak Japanese, "That is a secret!"
